Recent Review: Called Mike's Mobile Chimney Service asked the cost to clean the chimney. Told them there was an fireplace insert and the chimney had not been cleaned for several years. They asked what kind of insert and said it would take a 2 man crew since the insert would have to be removed for cleaning. They quoted me a price and could do the work within 3 days. They arrived on time and were very courteous, told me what they would be doing, placed drop clothes down, and started the work. They cleaned the chimney and did a inspection. I would use this company again and recommend them to friends. They were 1/2 the cost of another company I called who quoted me a price on the phone and them when they came out the cost doubled. I am very pleased with Mike's Mobile Chimney Service.

Recent Review: Jake arrived a few minutes early and set to work. He dismantled the inside of the stove to permit thorough cleaning, then enclosed the stove in wrappings to prevent any soot from escaping. He cleaned the chimney, then the inside of the stove. He reassembled the stove (quite a feat as it is like a jigsaw puzzle!) with no damage. There was NO dirt or soot anywhere after he was done. He gave us a check list showing the results of his inspection of the stove, chimney and installation. We were very pleased with the work he did.

Recent Review: For the past three years, Will Morris, owner and operator of "Sweep For Hire," has come to my residence once a year to inspect the chimney and fireplace.  Yesterday, he cleaned the chimney and reconverted the fireplace from wood burning back to gas.  Will was right on time, and though he said the job might require as much as three hours, he did it in less than two. As in previous years, there was no mess either inside or out, and Will had all the necessary equipment to do a complete and thorough job.  As always, Will's service was professional, courteous, friendly, efficient, organized and reasonably priced.  I highly recommend him to anyone in the North Bay who needs any kind of inspection, cleaning or conversion done on their chimney or fireplace.

Recent Review: Paul (the owner) and Eric cleaned my chimneys, air ducts and dryer vent. They were incredibly easy to schedule. They gave me a two-hour appt window but also told me they would call 30 min out so I wouldn't have to wait around. They were friendly and professional. Paul explained absolutely everything he was doing and why. He looked in one of my chimneys and even told me that it didn't need to be cleaned (I wasn't sure if it had ever even been used) and that he would clean it if I really wanted him to, but better to just save the money. I needed a damper stop... he told me that he could install it for $35 or that he could tell me what part to get and I could buy it and install it myself for $15-$20... I just had him do it, but it was nice to have the option. He took additional time to explain the best usage for my fireplaces and even offered to come back for free to explain how to use them to my new tenants. It really is so rare to find someone who takes such good care of their customers and treats them like part of their business family... Paul is that guy. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Recent Review: Byron for Midtown Sweeps drove up from Lancaster to do my annual cleaning and service on the chimney and pellet stole. He ran a test on the stove after cleaning to check operations and also instructed and educated me on the proper settings to give me the most efficient operation of the stove.

After all the work was done, he vacuumed around / in front and top of stove, carpet in front. Showed me the inside of the flue, and the condition of the chimney cover (was a fire hazard waiting to happen).

Tikar arrived as scheduled with a cheerful attitude and went right to work. Immediate put down a tarp to make sure the carpet remained clean. Vacuumed the fire box of my built in stove and checked to make sure the controls were functioning properly. removed the "pan" inside the fire box and cleaned and inspected. Went to the roof and cleaned the chimney from above and cleaned chimney cap. Replaced old caulking around chimney pipe to keep out water. Through all of this, Tikar responded to my many questions with good humor, which I appreciate. All charges were agreed on before his visit and when a small amount of additional work was recommended (caulking) the modest charge was explained in advance. I am very satisfied with the work done.
