Recent Review: We arrived Friday night at our vacation home, turned on the water, and discovered water spraying all over from one of the toilet valves, so  had to turn the water off entirely.  Also discovered the hot water was a nasty brown color, and that one of the faucets had a small leak.  Saturday morning, spoke to Roger, who was on his way out of town, but gave us the names and numbers of 3 other plumbers to try and said if they didn't respond to call him back.  No one did respond, and when we reported that to Roger, he came up before he left town. If he hadn't, we'd have been stuck all Easter weekend without water. He quickly replaced the toilet valve which had gone bad, and replaced a washer in the faucet, which took care of that leak as well. Then, he suggested the brown hot water might be old sediment in the hot water tank, so he drained it, and when it refilled, the water was just fine. We were really in a bind and so appreciated his quick response, especially as we've only worked with his company a couple of times in the past - Jerry who works with him is just great, too.  They'll be our first call in the future.  This little town is lucky to have a plumber of this quality with such a sense of responsibility to their customers.  Wish we could find someone like that at our other place.

Living with a septic tank system means regular contact with Shirley and John Manning. I absolutely trust my system to them. What I also enjoy is that they hire great people that I am very comfortable having work in my home - Bryce came out to pump our septic today and he was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. (See ya again in three years!) I found out today that they also have a complete plumbing service crew. I needed my master bedroom bathroom sink snaked (in the 10 years that I've here, this sink has always been a slow drainer). Joshua very thoroughly examined the situation and snaked it from the sink pipe (not the clean out in the adjacent bathroom). He FIXED IT! First time in 10 years, water flows out of the sink! Both Bryce and Joshua were neat, clean in appearance (no plumber butt cracks!). They listened to me about my situation and didn't jump to conclusions. They were very diligent about making sure our fur baby (dog) didn't run out. I had a stroke 2 years ago and have balance issues walking plus my right arm shakes. Bryce and Joshua were very patient with how long it takes me to walk and when signing the work orders. Montana answers the phone and is very knowledgeable about what can be done. I recommend John Manning Plumbing. They are very affordable and accommodated my schedule. They showed up when they said they would and completed the work quickly. Plus they clean up afterwards so things look better than before they came!

We had just moved in to our new home. Our septic tank was supposed to be pumped per our escrow instructions. The septic company used by sellers only pumped the liquid out rather than all the other stuff. Therefore, we were getting a sewer smell every time we used the showers and washing machine. To try and stop the smell we called John Manning, who was highly recommended by a friend. The owner and an employee showed up when they said they would looked at the project and gave us an estimate of $1500.  The project was originally going to be installing something in the tank that wasn't originally installed from what they could see. Upon starting the project, they cleaned the tanks, got in there to install a "t" part and it was installed in a different spot than it should've been. Therefore, they didn't need to install that part and took money off the original quote. They finished the project with putting risers on. This company is very honest and will tell you exactly what you need and how they are going to do it. They show up on time, dig up what they need to and put everything back the way they found it. In the end, it did help with the smell from the sewer vents.  Thank you John Manning Plumbing! In the future, we will always use this company and highly recommend them.

ADOMCO PLUMBING INC
Pumped out our 1500 gallon tank, which was clogged and filled to overfilling (by probably about 250 gallons) so did cost a bit more than would have if not overfilled.  Thought we would have to have the camera diagnostics done to determine what was causing clogging.  However, once emptied, Gil found that there was a filter in it (which had to have been installed well after the tank was installed) so he cleaned that and then put some chemicals into the tank to help break down the stuff in there which needs to be cleared from pipes and distribution box.  So, camera diagnostics probably not needed after all (so $$$ saved).    All in all, Gil was very professional, VERY informative (I now know what to do to help maintain tank in good working order) and quick.  Everything cleaned up nice and an Angies list discount on top of everything else!!  Thanks Gil and Domco!

Called John Manning Pluming for septic tank pumping.  Set the job up and on that day received a call from the office that they had an emergency and needed to reschedule the job. The job was set for the next week. On the day of the job received a call from Bobby who said that he was on his way to our house for the septic tank pumping and wanted to make sure that everything was still on for today. Bobby arrived and explained the job proceeded to us and we agreed with his recommendations for the job. After digging out our inlets (which were five feet in the ground) Bobby showed up some pictured of risers that he installed to bring the inlets up closer to ground level. John Manning came with his pumping truck and pumped the septic tanks out and made a few recommendations for us to follow in the future to help our tank last longer. Bobby installed our new risers and refilled the holes and level out the dirt. Over all this job went very good and we will call John Manning Pluming again. P.S. The emergency was while digging for a new install of a septic tank the hole caved in.  I can not fault John Manning Pluming for that.

Called this company complaint of completely clogged drains told them it was either a main line clog or septic needed someone with experience to come out. They could not come out till the next day they gave me a time frame of between 10am and noon. Stated that they would start by pumping tank. I agreed to this as the tank had not been pumped in a few years and knew that it was probably needed. They finally sent a worker out at 12:30 he opened the cover over tank and we discovered that the lid to the tank ( concrete) had shifted on the tank and had no handle. He attempted to remove the lid by himself and ended up dropping the lid inside of the tank. Having lived on septic systems all of my life, I was pretty sure that from the level of the tank and the sludge on top that I was not having an issue with the tank or the leech fields, but that it was a main line blockage. The worker was nice enough to run a hose backwards through the pipes, and low and behold some blockage came out. It seemed to take care of the problem, but I still wanted the tank pumped. At this point the worker had to call John the owner to bring the pumper truck( which is what I was told they would send first) He arrived about 1/2 hour later with the pumper and a backhoe. First thing that came out of his mouth was that they were not responsible for the lid falling in.... I can deal with that. He did not speak to me just got his truck and hoses ready. He stated that the tank would be full again in a week as my leech lines were bad. I really saw no signs of failure so I told him that we would give it a try. After that his attitude became very bad. They finished pumping the tank but left some sludge in the bottom. I asked if he was going to pump it out and his reply was that it would take two or three hours to do that and that I would not want to pay him for it. In conclusion I will never call this company again... Worker is good, but boss is only interested in telling you that you have problems that don't exist . If you are in need of a plumber who is concerned about really finding the problem and not giving you a knee jerk response that will make him a lot of money, do not call this company. If you need someone to come out with and attitude and act decussated that he has to pump out a septic tank this is the man for the job
