Recent Review: Everything was done in about two days. They kept me updated with where they were at and corresponded clearly (original install date was delayed due to rain). Price was the best I could find! A friend quoted the same project and just at cost of materials alone could not compare.

Recent Review: This turned out to be easier and less expensive than I feared. I went to the Tuff Shed office, looked at some models and spoke with Blake who helped me design the shed and drew up an estimate. About three weeks later a truck and two installers came to my house and built the shed, a 10 ft x 10 ft tall model with a loft, skylights, windows and workbench. They were amazingly fast and finished in a little over 1/2 day.
Recent Review: fNathan professionally discussed the features and options of the various models that Backyard Unlimited offered. I originally was looking at one of the standard 12 by 10 floor plan models, but concluded that the 8 by 15 would best work in our location. I considered having the completed shed delivered to receive a slightly lower price (saving about $100) but was worried about the access. Nathan graciously offered to visit our home to make a visual inspection. While he felt the shed could be delivered to the sight completely assembled he was worried about the narrow path and potential harm to the recently installed driveway. We decided that the slightly higher fee of having the shed assembled on sight was the better option. My Quaker model was pre-built by Amish folks in Pennsylvania and then shipped to California for assembly. About three weeks after the order was placed (February 15), I got a call and we were able to have the Shed installed on March 14 The installation crew were prompt, conscientious. and hard working. They arrived about 9:30 am and finished about 3 pm that afternoon. We could not have been happier with their work and completed building.
It went really well with Tuff Shed Inc. in Sacramento. It was a nice shed. The guys who put it in did a great job. It was beautiful. They made it out of a radiant barrier siding and roofing. It's got to be thirty degrees cooler inside that shed. It was a little brittle after a while.

The contractor showed up to my home. Did not do the work I had requested. Was supposed to build a floor for a shed I wanted to install. Went ahead and opened up the box for the shed, scattered pieces for the shed everywhere. Hinted that he wanted to use homeowner's truck to go and get the wood to build the floor for the shed. The only tool he came with was a cordless drill. Then homeowner told pro he did not want the job done anymore, and the pro requested that homeowner pay him for his time. No work was actually done.

The experience was ok. We shopped many sheds most of which while comparable don't have the guarantees and where not promised to be the best building materials. The cost is considerably more than the other sheds which we looked at. The guarantees are not in writing they are simply in the catalog which most observers would tell you is disturbing. In addition, they can produce no warranty documents for any part of the shed. When we decided that the shed would be worth it we found as they assembled it here that the two by fours were not of the finest quality, the promised treated two by fours and four by fours holding the shed were neither treated wood nor treated by other means. Their responses to our inquiries were not entirely satisfactory. From the outside the shed looks very nice, however, the supports are likely to be short lived. For the money it is not as worth it as we thought and we wish we had invested in a less expensive shed which is actually made with comparable materials.

Took over a month from day of order to get installation. Home Depot sells Tuff Shed but install is by a sub-contractor. Had an install date but never any phone call to confirm it. Day of install started calling Home Depot when they opened. Nobody qualified to help me, was given phone number of Tuff Shed rep for Elk Grove Home Depot who returned call but had no answer. Finally some guy called telling me he cut his finger day before and wanted to cancel install. Explained I took day off work as they did not do weekend installs. He and second guy finally showed up and put shed up. After they left I noted areas of trim not painted, back section with nails protruding, vent not screwed down, cutout around vent with jig saw screwup and little chunk missing but no big deal to them. Took days and many phone calls to Tuff Shed general office, Sacramento Tuff Shed office, calls to Home Depot and emails with pictures to all. Finally given appointment for correction of original defects. Guy who was supposed to arrive at 2:00 pm never showed, never called. Finally, his boss was able to get here at 7 pm. One of the things I do not understand is Home Depot carries lots of lumber yet several of the 2 x 4’s installed within shed were ragged with chunks missing. I know if I were picking out the lumber in the store I would have skipped over those inferior quality pieces incorporated in the shed.

Handyman Contractor company responded quickly to an email request for an estimate. They set a date and time for someone to come and see what was needed. They sent an experienced handyman/contractor who took measurements and offered a reasonable bid. We agreed on a date to do the repair. He built the doors off-site at his workshop, delivered, installed and made sure they fit the old frame.

Everything went great from the customer service, sales representative, ordering process to the delivery and installation. The installers attention to detail, their ability to work as a team, they were on time, and cleaned the job site when finished. I was very impressed with this company. We researched other companies with similar products and even considered building it ourselves, but when it came done to the final decision and viewing their constructed sample sheds there was no comparison to their quality for the price.

I was looking for a contractor/journeyman carpenter in the Sacramentp area to build a garden shed with a cement floor on the side of my house. I also wanted it to be reasonably priced. A friend recommended Dale Simpson. Dale came and gave me an estimate of $600 plus expenses and a time frame of 2 days. Not only was he on time and very pleasant to work with he had a great sense of humor. He finished the shed, with his worker, in two days, just as promised and just as I requested. I would be happy to recommend Dale for any building or remodeling job you might have. He is great to work with and does quality work.

Delay after delay after delay. I choose Tuff Shed over metal shed/barn contractors, due to a very positive experience at my prior home. This franchise is nothing like the franchise in San Jose. Prints/drawings for county permit approval took months. Foundation went in smoothly and passed first inspection. Building corner anchor bolts were written up, they were not per print, and it took weeks before letter was written by Tuff Shed PE stating bolts used were acceptable (for county accept,) Shed was finished and my General contractor had to finish floor as many screws were not flush with floor, some stood up as far an 1/2". Inspector told me the building needed landings (is front of side door and front barn doors). Tuff Shed had no idea what was needed, DID NOT KNOW COUNTY CODE. 3 WEEKS LATER they sent out a crew for paint touch up and did not even tell them they had to build landings at Shed entrances. Terrible, Inexcusable, Unprofessional, slow as putty on a cold day.

I love the shed. They did a really nice job. They were nice and did the work just the way I wanted. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They were professional and finished in a timely fashion.
