The shower faucet in one bathroom had become increasingly harder to turn off, and would drip constantly. Sadly, it was the HOT water side! We attempted our own repair of the washer, but found we didn't have the right tools for the shank. I called Michelangelo at 10am this morning, and was given a 4 hour time frame. A little before 2pm, the receptionist called back to say the plumbers were delayed on an emergency call, but would be out within the next 2 hours, as they hadn't had a lunch break yet. I told her I totally understood the delay, and that was perfectly acceptable since it was already 2pm, I wouldn't be going out today. Brian and Adam did show up a bit after 3pm. I showed them the naughty faucet, and asked about a possible source of air in the water lines, which had just started the previous day. They examined the water heater, and said it was a probable source, as it was at the end of it's warranted life (installed 1996). They gave me an estimate of $1300 to $1500 to completely replace it, earthquake safe and correctly plumbed. They also recommended getting a bid from another company that only does water heaters. Less than an hour later, the work on the shower faucet was complete! I had purchased the replacement parts at OSH for under $40, and they worked just fine! They had replaced both sides of the water supply into the shower without even cracking one tile! I am always impressed by the speed and quality of work from this company, and will continue to use them in the future! They also explained that the WaterPic shower head and hose were filled with sediment, probably from the water heater, and offered me a shower head that they had with them at an excellent price, but I require one with a hose, so I said I will buy one and install it myself. They were fine with that, of course, and I appreciated their offer! I paid with a credit card, which was accepted with no problem, and am completely satisfied with their work, as well as the price, both of which are excellent!
