This was an offer for "$1,499 for Paver Stone Patio, Driveway or Walkway Delivered and Professionally Installed." I sent a proposed completion timeline which he said he could meet. Then over the next 2.5 weeks there was a lot of nothing. (About 1 week between contacts and some phone tag, which is understandable because I was hard to reach, as well.) However, 5 days before the date the job was supposed to be completed, Luis called and said to check the fine print of the deal, that this was for jobs at least 300sq feet. So the offer was $1500 for 100 sq feet, but for him to honor that I have to get 300sq feet of work done (3 times the offer that I paid for)...then, I pay the difference for the 200 extra square feet required to meet the deal requirements. So, first, there is no 100sq foot patio deal, it's some sort of "discount" on a 300 square foot paver project. Second and more importantly, he said that the extra 200sq feet that must be included, would cost $25 per square foot! I don't see a deal here. Third, the 'fine print' clearly states that for the price I paid I WOULD get a 100sq foot patio. Here's the detailed description: Description: Here's the Deal: $1,499 for a paver stone patio, driveway, or walkway delivered and installed (multiple material options available below) Deal valid for up to 100 square feet; offer is valid for jobs with 300 square feet or more; extra square footage can also be installed for an additional fee Offer can be applied to larger jobs Includes demolition Choice of select pavers from Belgard; some paver choices may require an additional feeIncludes consultation for your project Lifetime warranty on labor and materials Includes materials, labor, and professional installation for your new 100 square feet patio in stone of choice The last line is what upsets me. The thing is, I DO need other work done, apprx 1000 square ft of work, but this experience and these term will have me go elsewhere. On a sidenote, Luis seemed nice enough, he seemed polite and toward the end he apologized for the misunderstanding. Hopefully Angie's List will update the deal to what it really is.
