Recent Review: I had tried to make this a quick do-it-yourself repair with a plunger and a flush method. Didn't work. In fact my efforts to flush with a garden hose overflowed the sink in the other bathroom--gray water everywhere! The plumber came and looked things over. He tackled this by snaking the shower drain. He did not have instant success. But, after much labor with the snake, the drain was again handling the flow.

Recent Review: These guys are amazing.  They came over within 30 mins of the first signs of water dripping through the ceiling and found a leak that wouldn't have been easy to guess.  This is the third time they have had to fix plumbing that was done poorly and completely wrong by the builder of our home.  Can't say enough good about these guys.

Recent Review: I called Brian and he said he could be here the next day to do the work. He was on time and texted me when he was about 10 min from our home. Brain and 2 workers did the work. Brian was very helpful. Brian and the crew were polite and cleaned up the work areas. Brian offered to take the old toilets to the local Habitat Restore which I thought was great. I would use him again.

Recent Review: Rex was very professional, and did a great job. He was able to tighten packing nuts and valve stems for a fraction of the cost quoted to replace faucets and valve stems from another plumber (not on Angies List). Rather than replace the parts in the toilet tank, Rex cleaned the flapper valve, removing some gunk that was allowing water to leak into the bowl, causing the toilet to cycle on and off. He is easy to talk to, and offered to give lessons on plumbing repairs. highly recommend. Our 'old' plumber went out of business, and Happy Drains just became our go to plumber.

Recent Review: Originally, work estimate was only for the house water valve, shower drain, to switch hot and cold water to second shower and yo hook up the utility sink in the garage.  At the time of the estimate, the representative fixed the 'hot and cold problem' with the second shower by making adjustments to the Moen valve  with no charge (a previous estimator said that the fix would require cutting and switching the feed pipes under the house) When work started on replacing the shower drain, the technician was unable to hook into the original sewer line as the pipe apparently crumpled when he tried to work on it.  The estimator then took photos of many of the joints in the original sewer system which all appeared to have thin white lines (calcium deposits) coming from them suggesting many slow leaks from inadequately glued joints.   He told me that this was a result of using some sub-standard pipe which had commonly been sold in the 1970's where the manufacturer had produced out-of-spec pipe that was then melted down and re-cast.  The result was that the reformed pipe late proved to not take glue well in the joints, and ,with time, became very brittle.  I was advised that retaining the original sewer lines would risk an eventual breakage of one of the lines which would probably not be detected till after the under house crawl space was flooded with sewage.  At that point, there would be a significant clean-up cost incurred as the need to replace the sewage pipes.  I therefore opted to have the company go ahead with their recommendations and replace all the sewage pipes in addition to the original work. I could be wrong, but the final price did seem a little high.  However, I was impressed with the original free fix of the hot/cold water shower problem and It was not practical to get further estimates, so I accepted their final estimate.

I called Martins plumbing after my daughters clogged up the shower drain with toilet paper. I called at 8 pm and Rose had an opening the next morning . I took it. Sean, the plumber came on time and fixed the drain without having to take everything apart to clear the drain. He was great . I will be using them for future service that I will need.

My kids flushed the toilet one day and the water started to come up through our shower drains. I got on Angie's List and saw that Martin's Plumbing came highly recommended. This company is very responsive to their customers. We called them and they came out with in the hour. Cleaned out our pipes and solved our problem. However a week later it started backing up again, so we had them come back out again. Turned out that a section of our pipe needed to be replaced. This company really knows how to treat their customers. We will highly recommend them to our friends and family.

I had a blocked shower drain and when I snaked it, it had seemed like I had cleared the blockage until I heard water hitting the ground in the crawl space. Figured I had hit a weak spot in the decades old pipe and broke through the pipe wall. I called Martin Plumbing on a Sat afternoon and they had a plumber out here on Sun afternoon and on time. Eddie was friendly and professional. After crawling under the house it turns out one joint in the drain from 20 years ago wasn't glued (only pushed into the slip fitting) and I had popped it out. He glued it up and tested for leaks. He was here for about 20 minutes on a Sun and did the simple fix for no charge. Seriously. So after that I asked him for a quote on redoing the whole stack which is about 40-50 years old and I know needs replacing, I've just been putting it off, all the drains are slow. He came back with a very reasonable number. Great service.

While immediate problem seemed to be resolved it was not. Worker used "tool" to detect source of leaking pipe inside a common wall which was impressive, but the subsequent problems revealed that the use of "tools" does not always make for a successful resolution of the problem.
