Recent Review: The overall experience from the assessment to the final testing went very well and smoothly. All of the employees were very professional. The work was begun and finished when they said it would be.
Recent Review: After I was referred to this company from my girlfriend who recently worked with them, and I saw the results I decided that I needed some upgrades of my own. My husband wasn't sure but ultimately he agreed. We have a game room that was completely outdated and I knew I had wanted to have this done prior to our Super Bowl Party and hopefully we could make that happen. I had decided to put dimmer lights to go under the cabinets and counter so that it would have the feel of a real "bar." I called Mr. Borquez and he came out the same day and gave me a free estimate that was both affordable and agreeable. I was actually very excited that he stated he could get that done for me in the time frame I needed assuming the lights I had wanted were available. Fortunately they were, and both him and his team were out here not only on time but courteous and respectful to us as well. They were able to remove all of the old lights and fixtures and replace with the new ones. After seeing how well everything was going and how beautiful it was starting to look I decided I needed a few more things upgraded as well. I figured I would just do it and tell my husband after. ; ) I had Mr. Borquez take a look at the lighting that was throughout the home and see if it was possible to remove the old ceiling fans and put in recessed lighting throughout because I hated the outdated lights the previous owner had in here. He again stated no problem and he would start as soon as the game room was finished. Need less to say I was blown away by the end result. My husband was more than grateful I didn't go over budget and now we have more energy efficient lighting throughout our home, as well as a game room that is absolutely perfect! Needless to say I was blown away by the professionalism, the punctuality, as well as the amazing results! I would 100% recommend this company for ANY electrical job in the future. I appreciate the service and for the unbelievable job they did for me. After that wonderful experience I hope to convince my husband that a few more things wouldn't hurt! ; )

Installing a drainage system can eliminate simple problems that can develop into major headaches.
With proper drainage, you can reduce issues with mold, insects and plant loss associated with overwatering. Drainage can also reduce puddles, slick pavement and other hazards.
Of all the contractors I worked with on this project, Gilbert was the only one who finished not just on time, but ahead of schedule. His work was perfect, and he took my vague directions and turned it into exactly what I wanted. The only contractor I will ever use.

I had Roger and his son Andrew from Sunshine Electric work on two outdoor 120 volt lighting problems and re-wire a non-functioning timer on a ceiling fan in our living room. The first two issues were pretty basic - found a bad connection in a prior repair to the wire leading to the swimming pool light. And in the living room, they removed an old ceiling fan timer that had quit working years ago and rewired the fan switch so it would work without the timer. First two problems solved in a little more than an hour. The last one was more interesting and took several hours over the course of a week. I had day/night photo sensor and two driveway lights on lampposts installed about a year ago by a landscaping contractor. He tied in to the existing line for a street address light we have mounted on a post in our front yard. The line leading to the light has a GFCI installed in it since it is located outside. When the rains came last winter, the GFCI tripped and wouldn't reset until the ground dried out a bit. It would reset for a few days, then trip. After a while, it wouldn't reset for more than a few hours. There was obviously a break in a wire somewhere... And I didn't want to mess with it, so I called Sunshine Electric after seeing some good reviews on Angie's List. Roger and Andrew showed-up, and methodically began testing the lamppost wiring that the landscape contractor had installed, one by one, in order to find out which run had the break in it. They had to leave after each test, because it took a few hours for the GFCI to trip and reveal where the problem was or wasn't. I wasn't in a big rush to get the lights working again, and they didn't mind coming by three or four times on separate days to troubleshoot and fix the problem. After several hours over the course of a week they discovered the problem was a nick in the insulation of one of the lamppost light wires, about 4" from tie-in point. In the end, they ran new wire to one of my lampposts, removed and replaced most of what turned out to be a very sub-standard electrical job the year before and made sure things were working absolutely perfect. I am very pleased with their work, and with what they charged - just a little over $500. I will definitely use them again and refer them to others.

AADE Andy Dominguez Electric
Andy did a fantastic job! This house was a hot mess - wiring from the 30's, 60's and more recent - maybe the 80's. Andy removed all existing wiring and replaced, installed my chandelier and fan, new outdoor lighting and did everything with the most positive attitude and smile. I think he's the greatest thing since jelly beans and have already recommended him to everyone I know.

Excellent service and prompt identification of problem. There is a 4 hour minimum charge for service and John was ready, willing and able to use any left-over time (after our primary problem was fixed) to do additional handyman jobs. As a result we were able to have him repair a bathroom faucet, correct a problem with the sand/silt filter on our main waterline, as well as trouble-shoot and fix some outdoor lightning problems. He is very knowledgable and provides a lot of information that will help us maintan our home. He is fast, courteous and conscientious about his work. We highly recommend him and will be using him for more work in the future.

We had called Izzie blind from the phone book when we had a problem with lights in the house flickering. He immediately diagnosed that it was a PGE problem and helped us persuade the utility that the transformer was going out in our neighborhood and then assisted us in getting a refund of his call charge from the utility. He's our electrician now

To start with, Roger actually answers his phone and if he's in the middle of another job he takes your number and calls you back. I needed several changes made to electrical services and after hearing me out, Roger suggested that we make an appointment to intall the light fixture in the bathroom and that he would look at the actual location in the laundry room and give me a firm estimate for that job and I could decide whether I wanted him to proceed. Roger arrived for the appoointment right on time, he was and is pleasant and professional and ready to proceed with the job. He removed the old bathroom light fixture, cleaned the mirror, and then installed my new light fixture and the bulbs and showed me the result. It was beautiful - such an improvement. The old light didn't always turn on immediately but the new one is working perfectly. Roger checked the electric service in the laundry room and suggested a new location for the plug and gave me an estimate. I approved it and Roger proceeded to move the service to its new location and install the plug. The really great thing was that Roger also suggested that I might like an electrical outlet installed on the garage wall directly behind the new laundry room plug. That was a great idea because my work table is against that wall and I've always had to use an extension cord while working on projects. Now I have power right where I need it every time I'm working on a project. Roger has been doing electric projects for me for 15 years. He's fixed mystery switches that didn't work, moved electrical outlets and replaced half a dozen lighting fixtures. I have always been pleased with his work and I depend on his opinion about what will work well, where. He knows a lot about lighting systems and is pleasant about giving you his opinion without trying to steer you toward one thing or another. He listens and then he does what I want.

We are doing a kitchen remodel and called Household electric for an estimate to fix a ceiling fixture and add an electrical outlet required for a new gas cooktop. John Bowen arrived on time for our estimate appointment and was very friendly and professional. After looking at our kitchen and hearing our complaints about the quality of light, John recommended recessed LED lighting. The quoted price was reasonable so we agreed to have him install the new lighting along with the other items we needed. John and his crew, Troy and Ryan, showed up on time on install day and did a wonderful job. They completed the work much faster than anticipated. All work looks to be of the highest quality. The recessed lighting looks and works perfectly. This is the only electrician I will use or recommend from now on.

Tim Thompson arrived in a timely manner to provide an estimate and went to work immediately on replacing doorbell switch and making list of other items we needed. Returned twice and did good work on few other items, including wiring for ceiling fan in livingroom. We paid him the entire amount for the fan installation and new outlet in unfinished closet with the understanding that he would return to complete the work when the closet was finished and the fan available (it was on order). We called him when we were ready and he said he was just leaving to take his children skiing but would call back the next week. He has never called or returned the many messages we left on his voice mail.

AJ J's Handyman Service
He responded quickly and even though he has a very busy schedule he was prompt in scheduling my work. He arrived within a reasonable time of the appointment and he proceeded with the work. The fixture on the ceiling was attached to some wires which were frayed and he repaired those as well as inspecting the nearby wires. He recommended that I get an electrician to go into the ceiling to replace some of the older wiring in the house as it is looking brittle. The other fixture in the kitchen was completely enclosed so I could not use the new CFL bulbs in it. He came up with a suggestion to change the type of cover used on the fixture to one that is open and reflective. He went to the store and bought the materials and then sawed it to the correct shape. He did an excellent job and solved several lighting problems for me that day. His work is always thorough and precise.
