I hate giving bad reviews. I liked Rob, but his crew failed to live up to the promises he made. After much back and forth with him, I hired him to have some of my trim boards replaced, and the caulking removed, and replaced in many places, and add new caulking where needed. In addition, I asked for some cold joints to be repaired. He and I went through my project and I was pretty clear about what needed to be done and my expectations to have old caulking REMOVED and redone. His crew showed up as promised, (I was at work), and when I got home, it looked like school kids came by and did the work. Caulking was not replaced, and instead was just smeared over with new caulk and somebody's finger. 2 boards were replaced with regular wood boards, and not trim boards. The remaining 5 boards were not replaced at all. A board under my sliding door should have been a pressured treated board, and it was not. Caulking was smeared into the boards seams with fingers, not with a caulking gun - no smooth surfaces. The fascia joints were fixed on two corners, but the remaining 6 corners were not touched. There were no smooth surfaces anywhere. The dish was removed, with 85% of the holes caulked, but those were left unsanded, and the rest untouched. The dish was left sitting in my yard. The cold joints were not done at all. Rob indicated he had three guys on the job, and between the 3 working all day, I don't know exactly what they did. I called Rob, and he was surprised by my claims, so I sent him some pics. He promised to be out the next day to take a look, and I never heard another word. I paid him 1/2 of the fee upfront ($300.00), and with painters coming in two days, I was lucky enough to hire Top Notch Handyman to come the next day and redo the work, and paid another $600.00, for what should have cost me 600.00 total. Plus, the work was COMPLETED by ONE MAN in ONE DAY!! I still to this day have never heard back from Rob. I will not pursue the $300.00 just because its too much work to try to get that $$ back. But I hope he will not do this business anymore if he can't guarantee his crew's work. This is not the business for him. I wish him well.
