Recent Review: Steve did great work! He communicated well on which days he would be available to work. The total job took about a week. He made sure we were happy with the paint job prior to receiving the final portion of the payment and touched up the few small spots we found. The overall quality was great and I would definately hire him again for another painting job.

AA Better Choice Painting
The experience was great right from the start.  Our property is located in Rough and Ready, which is 50 miles from their offices so the first thing I always do before looking into a big deal is call to see if they are willing to drive 50 miles.  I left a message and received a call back almost immediately.  They were, indeed willing to drive up the hill.  We scheduled an estimate for the following week and, although they did not arrive at the agreed upon time, they called me to let me know they were running late due to traffic.  I commute the route they were taking so I was not surprised.  Two very friendly and professional young ladies, Dominique Harley and Michelle arrived and did a very thorough inspection of the property.  It was obvious that they know their business very well.  A Better Choice Painting is a family owned business.  I believe the owner is Dominique's Dad.  They sent me a formal estimate the same day.  I received a Big Deal Price that covered a good portion of the work and then with the additional work needed, i.e. doors, railings and the detached garage the total price came to approximately $2200.00.  The price does not include the cost of the paint.  However, they do mention that right up front and they were able to arrange for me to purchase the paint at a local Sherwin Williams Store at their cost.  I just picked the color, paid for the paint and they picked it up on the way to the job.  Very convenient. The work was delayed a few days due to some early Spring showers but the work began on Monday, April 8th and was completed on Thursday morning, April 11th.  I must mention that the home had not been painted in over 20 years and I was not overly optimistic.  The siding was extremely weathered, particularly on the southern exposures.  We ended up having to purchase additional primer because the surfaces were just soaking up the paint.  Originally, Dominique had expected them to be done by Wednesday afternoon but due to the poor condition of the exterior walls the crew had to come back Thursday morning to finish up.  There was absolutely no attempt to squeeze more money out of me.  The Crew was truly committed to doing the best job possible.  I was astonished when I came to do the final walk-through on Thursday morning.  They were in the process of finishing up and were obviously very proud of their work for very good reason.  The home had been transformed.  It honestly looks like a new home.  Even the extremely weathered walls on the south side of the home and garage look like new.  It is very obvious that their prep work is very thorough because the surfaces look very smooth. I honestly have nothing negative to say about A Better Choice Painting.  I feel that I got great value for my money and it was a pleasure dealing with these very talented professionals.  I will definitely be using them in the future.
