Reviews in Solana Beach for Natural Stone Tile Installation
I think the provider was overwhelmed by the response to the add and did not anticipate the number of requests. He also should have turned down the job. He did not do natural stone floors well.

FSD TILE MAN
His main occupation is riding a bicycle for entertainment so I was left high and dry some days. He had to remove some of the tiles which he had installed upside down to put them in right side up and reinstall properly. He was unable to re-install the toilet properly. He improperly installed water line to a toilet tank causing water to leak onto wood flooring. He improperly installed the drain in the a shower and the fitting was suppose to be removed before installing so there was a complete and there was no hole in the for the water to drain. They put their tile cutting saws on the lawn and got ceramic dust in the flower beds and lawn dirty. He was unable to reinstall a shower valve which he had removed and it cost me $900.00 to call a plumber to come and put it in and reinstall. They would only come for two a couple of hours a day and then say they would have to leave.

ACERAMIC TILE & MARBLE BY GAETANO FEREGOTTO
Gaetano was great to work with. He did a great job, the bathroom floor looks great. His price was $400 below other quotes I had received. We would hire him again.

Our floor is 17 years old and was in need of a professional cleaning. Our floor looks new again. Mike and Alex were here on time and proceeded to clean our floor. They were both very professional and worked very hard to clean our floors. The job was supposed to be a 6 hour job but ended up being a 10 hour job. They never stopped working on their hands and knees. They paid attention to all the details.

John has done multiple jobs for my family and neighbors, including very difficult custom jobs. He's very reliable and capable.

His tile guy was AMAZING and did a PERFECT job. The alder wood mantle that Scott hand made and installed was beyond beautiful. It is apparent he takes exceptional pride in this craftsmanship. Scott came by our house numerous times to ensure we were happy and to provide us samples of stain as well. He was always available by phone, worked exceptionally hard, ensures his tile guy was doing the job we wanted and his mantle was just incredable. I stronglly recommend that anyone looking to upgrade their fireplace gives Mission Mantels a call. I work with a lot of contractors and Scott was one of the very best I've ever had. He even recommended a great company to redue the old ceramic logs, and once again, we were thrilled. Mission Mantels is an exemplary company. We cannot speak highly enough of them and Scott.

ACABACHON TILE & STONE
I HAD ONE STONE COMPANY TELL ME IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO MATH THE FLOOR IN MY HOUSE. THEY SAY IT COMES FROM ITALY (MAYBE). CABOCHON CAME OUT AND SAID NO PROBLEM! THEY FOUND THE STONE AND HAD IT ON MY DOORSTEP IN A WEEK.

Gorgeous showroom, and gorgeous tile. But God help you if you have extra materials left after your project is finished and you want to return them. The contractors' desk is only open from 7AM-4PM weekdays, when I work at a demanding job, and has no weekend hours. The showroom, which is one door down in the same building, adamantly refuses to process returns, or even hold them until the contractors' office opens next day, for phone processing. I've spent thousands there on a recent remodel, and they won't even extend themselves to accept a box of tile as a return--mind you, this tile is $50 a box, so that's a sum that might matter to a frugal customer. There are many places to buy natural stone and tile in San Diego. And believe you me, I will be patronizing one of them in the future, and not Daltile.

Everything went quite well. Ken was on time and worked quickly and efficiently. He was professional and offered suggestions for future care of our flooring.

BNewman Tile & Stone
They were very responsive in coming out and giving us a quote. They had some good ideas about how to deal with complications we had, but when it came to actually centring the tiling, it was quite challenging. They contempt three different times on me and each time I decided to take them off work and then they would come, so that was problematic for me. Also, during tiling, they put the tiles in wrong order, so they had to redo it. End product is perfect and beautiful, it looks great. There were miscommunication problems.
Recent Review: They did an absolutely fabulous job. I would happily use them again. The workman were both punctual, took extra effort to clean up and prepare both the interior and exterior of the house in painting. We went through a remodeling at the same time of our tile floors and carpets and they took extra effort to work with us as timing and around the other contractors. I cant thank the paint team enough for all their time, extra effort, and workmanship. regards mike
Recent Review: UNBELIEVABLE!!! I have been thinking about a new kitchen for months and months and really had no idea what was involved or costs. An acquaintance suggested I contact Remodel Works Bath and Kitchen. John answered the phone and I told him I was just starting to consider a remodel. He very patiently asked a few questions and I told him I was interested in costs before I move forward at all. He told me the average cost for a kitchen remodel. With great kindness and knowledge, John explained my options. We then discussed option of replacing counter tops only and again John patiently explained process, options and costs. When I told John, I was unsure of what I wanted to do he said he understood and anytime I wanted to discuss further or schedule an appointment for an estimate to give him a call. I also asked for a referral for a flooring expert and John gave me the name of another delightful person. Other contractors might not have given me the direct contact so they could coordinate and add some revenue for themselves--not John. EVERYTHING in our conversation was about John helping me find the best solution for my home needs. After the holidays, I am sure I will be calling John as I already trust him implicitly. Recent Review: Alex was great. Our shower came out the best of all the projects and we were very pleased with the work. He was recommended by ProSource and we couldn't have been happier. There were a couple of minor touches we wanted addressed at the end and Alex took care of it - no problem. Price was very affordable.
Recent Review: Five stars aren’t enough for us to rate Solana Flooring. We had them install luxury vinyl plank flooring and new baseboards throughout our two-story home. Dave Bone, the flooring specialist who runs the showroom and Mik Sziros, owner and head of the installation team (Elias and Gabriel) did an outstanding job. With a great attitude, these friendly and professional flooring experts created a great new look for our home. From start to finish, their attention to detail, meticulous work and cleanup more than met our expectations. Highly recommended!
Recent Review: Women In Construction were truly a miracle team in helping to manage not only one project, but many in our move to a house that was not livable when we purchased the property. They did all the demo work themselves, and worked from very early every day from 7 am until very late and even weekends to keep on schedule. I have not seen such attention to detail and follow through in any group before Women in Construction. Their willingness to be available and listen, and teach me what needed to be done was incredible. From choosing fixtures, to finding painters, etc, etc. they kept my best interests in mind. constantly. The quality and craftsmanship of the tile work has received many compliments.
Recent Review: I recently had Derek Priest, owner of San Diego Tile, complete the tile work (floor, shower, and backsplash) on my master bath remodel and I couldn't be more pleased. Derek was quick to visit for the initial quote, his price was competitive, and he was always prompt while working on the project. Each day he always ensured the work area was clean and he completed the project within his targeted timeline. I would definitely recommend going with Derek Priest and San Diego Tile Installation for any tile project!!!
