Recent Review: Tommy's crew of 3 performed the job, not Tommy.  The ceiling fan installation and electrical went pretty smooth. Stevie worked very hard to make the light fixture level with the Hunter fan that I had purchased. The master bath exhaust fan also went well. The main bathroom had some issues. When drilling inside the wall for electrical the bit hit a firewall and jumped which caused an unforeseen hole in the wall. Tommy was great and agreed to have the hole/drywall repaired by one of the crew guys as well as matching the paint, as the past owner didn't leave paint for touch ups.  The hole for the exhaust fan was cut a little too large causing a gap  between the fan housing and the attic so insulation started falling through. I did ask about this and I was told it wouldn't be a problem. My friend and I added flashing around the fan housing to correct the situation. Tip: Tell them Up Front if you want the instructions/warranty or leftover items from the boxes that the fixtures come in, as well as your original fixtures. Clean up could have been better.

Extremely satisfied with the service I received. I had lighting in almost every room of my house installed, including hallways and outdoors, as well as 2 ceiling fans. Brian was the employee who did the work. He worked very fast, was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He kept me abreast of every worst case scenario as he worked, although none of them occured, I did appreciate how well he communicated with me. I will definitely be calling them again when I need any electrical work done. PLUS a gift card to Dewars! They definitely get a 10 out of 10!

Excellent! They arrived on time, discussed, with me, the process. The job was completed quickly and very professionally. So nice having a ceiling fan where one did not exist.

Tommy came my rescue on the very day on called him for the service. I called him at 9:00am and he came at 11:00am as he promised. The work was done by 11:45 am. He understood my unusual problem that was cause by a burnt out mother board of a previous hung fan and rehanging another fan on a 14 foot vaulted ceiling. This fan is used constantly in the summer months. Getting it fixed quickly was very important. Tommy was very knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. Clean up was done and he was a pleasant person to deal with.

The master bedroom fan was completely dead and I had already purchased a new fan. I asked the worker to just take the dead fan down and put up the new one but he would not do this. Stated he had to get permission from the home owner through the warranty company. Same day they went and purchased replacement parts for the dead fan and stated they would get back in touch if the approved to just replace the fan. I never heard back. I also had requested for a quote for a new exhaust bathroom fan near the shower and they were to get back with me and never did. Warranty charge is $75 cost to owner so any additional charges must be billed to them by the workers. I wonder if things would've been different if they could've charged me an hourly rate.

DA-C ELECTRIC COMPANY
Appointment scheduled at 0900 and van showed up at 0820. We weren't ready for him yet. Not much of a problem. Had the electrician wire ceiling fan, but not install blades or bulbs. Spent majority of time finding problem with outdoor lighting and came to the conclusion we had a couple choices to try and resolve the problem. Told the electrician we would think about the options and get back with the company at a later time. Electrician leaves us an invoice and says we will be billed at an hourly rate. Didn't say what the rate would be. Find out it's $85.00/hour. Billed for 3.5 hours. Arrived at 0820 and left at 1120. Called the company and asked about the difference of half hour. Was told it was travel time and it was our understanding that it would be removed from the bill and not to worry. We get the bill the next day or so. Not only did we get billed for the travel time, they tacked on a fuel charge of $20.00 on top of it. After 3 separate opportunities to tell us about the extra charges, no one said a thing. The company is located in the city and we live in the middle of the city. We shouldn't have to pay for travel time if your service is located within the city also. We can understand 20 miles away and we knew in advance of the charges for travel and gas. The company's response was, oh well, this is our business and this is how we run it. After numerous calls to higher ups in the company they finally relented on the travel time, but not the fuel charge. So.............The work done is very good, but up front costs, not good. The hidden additional charges leave a bad taste in our mouth. After speaking to 4 other electrical companies in town, two said they charge for fuel, but tell you up front and the other two companies don't charge you at all. None charge for travel time. These guys must make a good living working for the city and or county.....For residential work, I would look elsewhere!
