Recent Review: I would not recommend A-American Sliding Door. They put my sliding door in wrong. And it was supposed to be tinted and it was not. When the inspector came out of course it would not pass. I will not use them again in the future.

Recent Review: Donovan and his crew were responsive, professional and caring. While the project took a little detour when we suffered some unrelated water damage, it was completed in a timely manner with quality workmanship. He really treats you like family, making sure to keep you up to date on the project. After our water damage incident, he even dispatched a crew immediately to help with the cleanup, which provided a level of peace of mind that is invaluable during such a stressful time. Even though some of the parts that the job required seemed to take forever to arrive (my fault for choosing them!), he did his best to get everything completed in short order. He and his staff are wonderful.

Recent Review: When I remodeled, I wanted my doors to reflect the architectural detail of the Asian-Mission fusion look I was going for. Not finding what I wanted, I again followed the wonderful recommendation of my contractor (Ohana Builders) to drive out to Morro Bay and talk to Dan with Morro Doors. I explained to Dan what I wanted, he showed me some new glass that he'd just gotten in and worked with me to design the doors I wanted. I love them and have gotten many complements on my front, guest and master bath doors that are beautiful and exactly what I wanted.

Didn't go through with job.  Too expensive.  I rated him a "C" because there was not work preformed.  The cost of the doors were just too high.  I didn't get the chance to see any of his work finished.

ABROTHERS GLASS CO
My duplex neighbor had Brothers' Glass replace her windows with double pane windows and recommended Brothers'. Brothers' gave me a brochure and after I decided on the job and got approval from my homeowners' Assn., Brothers' responded promptly and finished the job in one full day. The first hitch was that the factory included the wrong key for the sliding door so I had to wait for the factory to send the right key before I could lock the door from the outside. When the winter rains came, there was standing water in the door track so I called Brothers'. Brothers' said this situation wasn't normal and redrilled the weep holes to fix the problem. The problem remained so Brothers' came again and did more work on the weep holes and fixed the problem. A year later, there was leaking around patio (sliding) door and patio window. Brothers' recaulked the windows. Since this leakage only occurred after unusual heavy blustery rains, It wasn't until the following winter that I found that the leaks persisted. Brothers' came and completely recaulked both units. Again, it wasn't until the following winter that a severe storm revealed that the leaks still persisted. Brothers again sent someone over who said that the problem might be with cracks in the wall. I was not a happy camper. I hired a home inspector to diagnose the problem. When I related my frustrating experience with Brothers' inability to solve the problem, the inspector told me that he also blamed the wall cracks and commended Brothers' for it's patience and persistence. My homeowners' Assn repaired the wall with polymer paint and I haven't had a leak since. Earlier this year, the door window fogged up. Brothers' said that the only solution was replacement. Brothers charged me $170 for labor and the factory paid for the pane as it was still under warranty. I fear that if I had written this review before consulting with the home inspector, I would've unfairly blamed Brother's for faulty installation when the fault lay with the wall cracks.  As it was, Brothers' showed both patience and determination in its effort to get the job done right.

AMORRO DOORS
My contractor (Ohana Builders) recommended Dan at Morro Doors. When I visited him, he was most helpful, could visualize what I wanted and made it a reality. As I'm finishing my guest bath and entry, I look forward to enjoying these beautiful doors for years to come!
