Recent Review: I have an old 50’s flat roof, where the water stays and leaks. They were out the next day to check that out. They found a tiny leak that they repaired. They guaranteed their work and I eve used them again, to help install a vent from my bathroom.

Recent Review: I had a small leak in my flat roof in February.  I called three roofers: one did not show, another roofer said I needed to replace my roof  (quote of over $11,000) and San Marcos Roofing told me what materials to buy and how to fix the leak myself.  I tried, but it did not work so I called San Marcos Roofing again.  Because rain was predicted, Efrain Sandoval (owner) came out the next day and did the work himself (and only charged me a few hundred dollars).  Mr. Sandoval went one step further and told me about a product to apply to the roof (Elastomeric Coating) to make the roof last a few more years).  It has rained several times since and no leak.  I will definitely use San Marcos Roofing when I actually need to replace the roof.

Recent Review: I rated the company as a A.   I recently joined the Angies' List and checked all available companies for this project.  I called many companies in the area.  I probably called/emailed ten companies.  San Marcos Roofing was booked for two weeks before they can send anyone for an estimate.  Some of them did not respond and some did.  I had about four estimates and the Wether guard company was the lowest bid with a three year warranty.  I assume that some of the companies did not want to take a roof repair job; some only does a complete new roof installation.  A-1 Roofing gave me an estimate but they don't want to give us a warranty.  I did not feel comfortable paying for the repair job and I don't know whether it was fixed or not until we get rain.  CA does not get rain much so it would be very difficult for me to see if the job was done right.  Brian (Weather guard) gave me a three year warranty with the lowest bid.  I gave him an overall rating of A because #1- great price, #2- did a great job, #3- a three year warranty for the repair he has done, and #4-he was very nice over the phone.  If he can give the long warranty, I am sure that he is very confident of what he is offering to customers.  I would hire him again.

Recent Review: Mark (supervisor) was very pleasant to work with. The work was done within 5 days as promised. The roof looks beautiful. During the demolition, a garage light fell and hit my Mercedes and broke the front windshield. Patriot worked quickly to have my windshield replaced. A mobile glass company came to my workplace the next day to replace my windshield. I was very pleased with their work.

ACity Wide Roofing Inc
City wide came out first thing in the morning after receiving that call. They got the job done in 4 hours! Throughout the process, they did not have to disturb the tenants. We were very impressed with how quickly the job was completed. They cleaned up the area well and left no traces that they had been out, except for the new roof. Everyone I dealt with in the office was very nice and professional. Since this was a long distance project in which I could not be present, they were very reassuring. They did a very good job. There has not been a single problem with the roof since.

BProfessional Roofing and Solar
They came out and described what they would do. They gave me a bid and came out in two weeks to do the job. They completed the job within a day. The only problem was the way they did their business; they did the job in parts. One crew came out and prepared the roof by taking off the old roof. Then another crew came out later in the day and installed the new roof. So this took a longer time though they came on time. They didn't fully complete the job and I had to call them and then they came out and completed the job. It took them a while to send my invoice. I would probably use them in future.

AHOME DEPOT
Great customer service, good estimating, careful planning went into his job. The roofers were excellent and the teardown, detection and replacement of rotted or termite wood was very good. One day to teardown. I spent the whole day with them (small crew of 3 and inspector/PM for small house). Careful consideration for existing penetrations in roof. Coordinated with the cellulose insullation contarctor (subbed to Home Depot) on day one. Roofers also assited me in replacing the rusted, old gable vent screens at no charge. I chose the premium white roof. The roof was installed in one day and included new covers for the penetration for vents and fans and heater, and two new turbines for the roof. I walked the new roof after and it is actually beautiful (in a contruction sense). Cleanup on both days was excellent; not a nail or tack or piece of wood lying around and they air blowed the driveway. They primed all the ends of all the facia that had to be replaced (they had bought the necessary wood on day one; at my request I primed the wood on that day and they used it the following day. Excellent, excellent job and I have the Home Depot guarentee on top of everything. Most pleased with this job.

ASequoia Roofing Inc
I spoke to Mike with Sequoia Roofing and asked for a quote to replace my tar and rock roof with something that the solar companies could work with. He recommended a product that came with a 20 yr warranty and reflected 80% of the suns heat. Furthermore Mike worked with my solar company (SolarTech) to install the solar panel supports in the right locations on the roof. His crew was efficient, knowledgeable and did their best to minimize additional costs when problems arose.. I’ve recommended Sequoia Roofing to my mom in Fallbrook and my dad in San Clemente.

BSecure Roofing and Solar Inc.
Great price and overall great materials and workmanship. However, the job took too long to start and too long to complete. Daily cleanup was not very thorough and final cleanup was not as good as I expected. My toddler is still finding roofing nails in the lawn. The flat roof was not installed properly and the company would not (or forgot to) come back to fix it. I don't think they are dishonest or shady but I think they are just too busy to properly service everyone. I think if they were doing fewer jobs, they would be a much better company.

AWeathermaster Roofing Services
We had worked with other roofing contractors before. Chris and his Weathermaster team are OUTSTANDING. Chris worked with the solar company, electricians and plumbers in preparing the roof for solar panel installtion. Chris needed schedule his work to accommodate the other contractors. I asked Chris to install roofing on two new structures. His sent his team that day to start the install. Highly recommend Chris and his Weathermaster team!

Prompt, professional service and excellent quality work.  Price was a bit higher than competitors, but did include good warranty on materials and workmanship.  Would definitely recommend Calabrese to others and will use them again.

ARC Energy Solutions
I got bids from three A rated roofing companies in spring of 2017. My house is a single story, just under 2300 square feet, plus garage and required 30 squares of roofing. I had a leak where my flat roof joined the peaked roof (was originally a breezeway). Because I had a Decratile metal roof over an original cedar shake roof, the job was complicated. All three companies said I needed to replace the entire roof. The only one to actually get on the roof and also check the attic to see if there was sheathing under the cedar roof was Ken from RC Energy Solutions. The bids were all fairly close. I chose this company because of two things: a recommendation from a contractor friend who had used them, and the thoroughness of their bid process. All three warned me that they could not do the work until summer, which was fine. RC Energy replaced the two layers of old roof, rebuilt the flat roof, which had not been correctly joined to the peak to begin with, in late July/ early August. It took a week to do the job. Workers were polite, thorough, and cleaned up. Because I had wanted to have solar (which could not be installed over the original metal tile roof), and the cost was less than I had been quoted by previous solar installers, I opted to add solar panels. That was completed in early October, a two-three day job, plus wait time for SDGE inspections. The new roof is a Corning product, reflective asphalt, with several roof vents. Some of the fascia and sheathing had to be replaced due to dry rot/termite damage. They also had to remove and replace the solar thermal pool heating. The solar install included 20 Silfab panels (made in Canada), a new electrical panel, and stucco repair around the panel. I am very happy with the appearance of the roof, and the electrical savings of the panels. Ken, Justin, and Christa were very responsive to any question or concern I h and the whole experience was a pleasant one.

AProfessional Roofing and Solar
Our property is a 4 Unit contemporary style condo complex with multiple flat roof sections at different heights and multiple sloped sections. In 2006, we had Professional Roofing Services remove the red clay tile roof from the sloped sections of our roof and replace it with 50 year asphalt shingles. We were very impressed with their professionalism, reasonable pricing, quality of their work and delivering what they promised quickly and efficiently. Based on our past experience we hired them to replace the flat portions of our roof this year. We were not disappointed. This project was more complex because all four units had solar water panels left over from the original construction in 1980 and each unit had since replaced their hot water heaters that no longer used them. In order get a good seal on the roof they removed and disposed of all of the old solar water heater panels. All four units had also replaced their rooftop AC/Heating units over the past few years and so the pads built for the original units were smaller than the new units. PRS recommended an AC contractor to disconnect the old units so that the old AC pads could be removed and then reconnect them after the new roof was installed as well as replace any bad ducting. Once we approved the quotes from the AC contractor PRS coordinated all of the AC work so that we didn?t have to worry about it. PRS recommended repositioning two of the AC units so that the scuppers from one of the raised flat roof areas would not drain directly on to the exposed AC ducting to avoid problems in the future. As expected, PRS came through for us again delivering top quality work in a timely manner at a reasonable price. Their staff did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and leaving our property looking great. We highly recommend Professional Roofing Services.
