Recent Review: Max Baggett is a great guy to work with, friendly and accommodating.  He always got back to me in a timely manner when I called and explained clearly what he was going to do so I knew exactly what was going to happen. He's not inexpensive but he tries to keep cost down as much as possible while still giving you good quality work. I expect the workmanship will last many, many years.   He and his crew did a first rate job in upgrading my 1950's home.  He gave excellent advice and if he wasn't sure on some decorating point he admitted it.  The kitchen hadn't had any work done on it since the 1960's. The first job I had done was the 3/4 wall height paneling I had installed in the kitchen eating area.  It looks like something from a craftsman house. It instantly added interest in the kitchen. The next thing  was replacing the formica counters in the kitchen with silestone.  I also had a tumbled marble back splash put in at the same time to match the silestone counters.  I am very happy with the results. After that was remodeling the bathroom, also from the early 1960's.  It was gutted.  When replacing some walls it was found to have extensive termite damage, almost all the wood had been eaten where the bathroom window was.  The only thing holding it up was the outside of the house!  Max took me personally to pick out the bathroom sink stone top at a small stone yard so I didn't need to buy a huge piece, I appreciated that a lot.  So I saved  money there.  His talented work crew did a bang up job installing the tile in the room. The next to the last job done was evening and replacing all the floors in the house.  The kitchen floor wasn't the same height as the adjoining floors and people would trip going in or out of the kitchen.  That was fixed.  The carpet in the living room and bedrooms was over 40 years old and was replaced with a dark hardwood floor including the hallway.  New carpeting was installed in the bedrooms.  Crown molding was installed throughout the house.  The crown molding looks especially outstanding in the hallway. The last thing done was installing a gas insert and  covering the original brick fireplace with green marble.  I kept the original wood mantel.  The fireplace is a fantastic focal point of the room now. If I should need any more work done I would definitely have Max do the work as it is top quality.

It was a positive experience. This fellow came and he bought a book and showed us pictures of everything so you could look at it and pick out whatever your appliances are. He spent a lot of time and he was just ready to go. He was excellent. We hadn't decided exactly what we wanted and we were feeling kind of rushed because we had an inspection, and I didn't want to just rush in without taking the time for it and so we just ended up painting what we had.

Matt is a very conscientious guy. He came buy twice to look at our project. I believe he has a very good reputation and I believe he is very thorough. We ended up doing the work ourselves.

I think John did a great job.  He was always here on time, and he was very particular that everything got done to perfection.  He took me to Home Depot and had me pick out everything. I'm glad we picked him.  Another thing about John was that he cleaned up every day before he left. He completed the job on time and without extra money.

DJG builder
JG team showed up at the appointed time surveyed the work to be done and appeared to take good notes. The estimate, along with others arrived in a timely manner, upon review I noted I wished to add additional scope. The builder said they'd get back to me. Over the period of a month no update was provided despite multiple emails, phone calls and text. Not sure if I got lost in the shuffle or what ... but at the end of the day they were unresponsive. Which is of course frustrating. I did not get to see their work, just the front end contract effort.

It was outstanding! He was on time and very responsive. They were also very respectful of my father's privacy since they were working on his home and not mine. They left the home spotless every day when they left, too! It was everything I ever wanted and more!

AGoodFellas Construction – Bay Area
Aviv at Goodfellas Construction was extremely helpful from the get go. He took my wife and I shopping to get exactly what we needed for our bathroom. My wife had very specific requirements for the sink and he was able to get all the necessary parts. We've done remodeling in the past and have ran into problems with jobs taking too long and contractors asking for more and more money. We did not run into any of those problems with Goodfellas and we were even able to get a contractor discount which made the remodeling a lot more affordable for us. Aviv was always available to call or text when we had questions and he always responded immediately. We had a great time working with him and his crew and now we have a beautiful brand new bathroom thanks to Goodfellas.

I needed to remodel one bathroom because the floor was collapsing. I asked Nick to come and look at it and give his opinion. As a woman, like most, we all  have difficulty speaking to men who work for us. However Nick made me feel at ease. He created a plan and explained it simply so that I understood what he was going to do. He then submitted a plan with an accompanying estimate. He promised he would complete the entire job within one week. As I mentioned before, this is a one bathroom house.....!  Beginning, he and his workman laid out tarps and hung masking to protect the surrounding rooms, and my beautiful wood floors. Then they  gutted the bathroom and hauled the debris away.  They kept the area very neat and dust free throughout the job. It was a pleasure to have Nick and his workman around  and we even had lunch together out on my patio several times.       By the end of the week the job was completed. He brought the job in on budget and on time. Now I am proud to offer guests my bathroom.

AJRG Construction Co
We are very pleased with the quality of work performed and recommend JRG Construction to those looking for a general contractor. Our 1-bed/1-bath home was built in 1950 and had never been updated. The house had eight electrical outlets (none in the bathroom) and the plumbing was functional but old. We decided on a full kitchen and bath remodel, down to the studs with new plumbing and electrical throughout. We interviewed two contractors and chose John Goulart of JRG Construction. We reviewed with John our wants and needs. He had us speak with the sub contractors for plumbing, electrical, tile, cabinets and flooring. His bid was accepted. The timeline was three months. The need for changes/revisions did occur. We had to remove the kitchen door to the back yard but in doing that gained a small pantry. We changed the entry point to the kitchen during the remodel. John was able to adapt to that. He was proactive in dealing with the building/planning department and architect. He looked ahead to find possible issues/concerns so that the process went very smoothly. All of the work was performed under John’s watchful eye and he was consistent about communicating with us and sending photos, as we live in the central valley, 3 hours away. The remodel took 3-1/2 months; in part because we added HVAC during the process of the remodel. We recommend JRG Construction to those looking for a general contractor.

ARobert Jones Construction
Robert did a great job getting all the materials up front before he started and then he quickly remodelled the bathroom. There were some issues with the designers drawings that he handled very professionally and expedited new materials and completion of the job. He was very clean and considerate and very professional.
