Henson Flooring
Recent Review: They did an excellent job. Work started as scheduled and finished in a reasonable time even with a slight "glitch" that was not their fault. Originally the plan was to install the flooring by using the manufacturer's glue. About half way through the project, they discovered the glue was not properly adhearing the hardwood to the subfloor. After calling the manufacturer, they learned the floor company shipped the wrong glue. They had to take up all the newly installed floor and the subfloor to start again. The manufacturer paid for all new materials. This time,Hensen opted to nail down the floor. The job was competed with minimal delays. These guys did a great job. The floor came out perfectly. We get compliments all the time when friends see the floor.

FLOORING OUTLET
Recent Review: We had our floors done and they did a really good job. The owner came out and did the measurements. We picked out the flooring which was Marmoleum click. He had a person come out and install. They came and leveled the flooring and installed it. The contractor who came to install it was really personable. The owner Rick also tried to give us the best deal he could give us. He did give me a discount. He was able to show us the display and get the product for us. I thought it was nice because we were able to get a discount.

Recent Review: Arrival times weren't exactly prompt, but once they arrived, they worked diligently until the work was completed. The crew consisted of the licensed contractor/business owner, his son, and two other young men. They completed the bulk of the job in two days; the stairs took practically a full day alone. They did have to come back to do some touch-up work on the third day, ie. missing molding, etc. The floor looks very nice. However, there are a couple of places where the molding doesn't have a nice finished looked to it; it just ends in a cut-off piece. I wish that looked a bit nicer, but I'm the only one that probably notices. Guests will not look that close. Overall, we are very pleased with the finished product. We plan to install flooring in the hallway and a couple of other rooms, and we will use the same company to finish the job. We really felt that their prices were fair, and that they were honest.

* Agreement made for installation prior to vacation; let company know that an extended vacation was planned and that installation needed to take place immediately upon return. They were surprised at return of vacation and said that they were trying to get a hold of us and did not schedule an installer. First red flag. * Apparently there was a scramble to find an installer. * Floor was not installed in an acceptable manner and I clearly stated at the time that if, "I wanted a weekend job, I would have done it myself." No one bothered to check the quality at the completion of the project. * And then the phone calls and letters began. * There were at least three different transition pieces installed throughout our home. Sloppy cuts were made and left. When confronted about the job, comments were met with a blank stare. * When I informed the owner that a letter to the BBB would be filed, phone calls were returned. * Inspections were then done and confirmed that the job was less than desirable. The flooring company owner had no idea of the individuals hired to install the floor. * Our entry way is a main issue as the floor was not level when installed, creating a "trampoline" effect in our entry. Glue was injected to "solve" the problem. * Multiple contractors/floor installers have examined the job and agree that it is a sub-standard job. * If I had money to burn, this would not be an issue; I would just replace the floor. What is irritating is that we saved for several years to get this flooring and it was not cheap. * There have been other issues, but the details are too cumbersome to report. * We are still working with them to get the issues resolved. I would be more than happy to report a positive outcome! The owner has been pleasant and I hope we can come to a resolution soon.
