Hague Quality Water
Recent Review: On 4/28/2015, I wrote concerning a refurbished water treatment unit I purchased from Richard Foronjy. Soon after my review I received a call from Richard concerning my dissatisfaction with the refurbished unit I purchased for my mother.  I explained to Richard that the unit had been repaired a number of times and still was not working to my satisfaction. Richard listened to my concerns and frustration and then told me he wanted one more opportunity to repair the unit at no additional cost !!  I appreciated his willingness to repair the unit and a repair date was scheduled.  The repair technician was on time and upon inspection of the unit discovered a small crack in the top of the unit.  I technician explained to me that the crack was allowing air to enter the unit which caused the malfunction.  The unit was repaired and after a year I have had no further problems the unit. Thank you Richard for making good on your product !!  When it comes time to replace my unit I will again buy from Hague Quality Water.

Culligan Water Conditioning of Central Coast
Recent Review: I called to make an appointment for a free water analysis.  The appointment was completed as arranged very professionally.  At the time Culligan had a special they were offering of 3 months free with a signed contract for a year so I decided to take advantage of that and signed up for the year because I was very impressed with the person I met with and wanted water treatment service.  I have been very happy with their service.  I would recommend them to anyone.

Five Cities Water Systems
Recent Review: Bob, the owner of the company and someone who has been in the reverse osmosis business since the systems were first adapted for residential use, came out to the house and evaluated both our water softener and reverse osmosis system at not cost and estimated what our likely costs would be. Since we had recently purchased the house, he checked out our main house water softener and got it working for us so that it was effectively softening our very hard well water- something the softener had not been doing before. He then checked out our reverse osmosis system and suggested we have it serviced- which we already knew was due to have done. We also have a guest house and had purchased a water softener for that which we wanted to have installed. Bob set up an appointment to have his service tech service the reverse osmosis system and install the separate water softener in the guest house. Brandon, the service tech, came out on the date we had scheduled and arrived on time. He is very good natured, knows his business, having worked for Bob for 13 years, and set out immediately to install the water softener in the guest house. He had never installed this brand before but had no trouble, using the owner's manual, figuring out what to do and completing a clean installation. He then serviced the reverse osmosis system and we were impressed that he didn't try to sell us parts we didn't need. For example, the 2 gallon water holding tank is something that sometimes needs to be replaced after a number of years but he indicated that, though older, ours appeared not to be crudded up or otherwise in need of repair. A new metal tank would have cost an additional $75 but he indicated ours was good for now so only serviced the unit. All in all, we were impressed with both Bob and Brandon, felt that they were both very knowledgeable about the water treatment business, both were easy to work with, and also felt that the company was a consumer friendly company dedicated to their clients and maintaining a reputation for a good job at a fair price. They had been recommended to us by a friend and we won't hesitate to recommend them either. Our only complaint is that they only take cash or checks so we had to pay now.

Chris Dale Plumbing
Recent Review: True to form, Chris Dale was punctual and performed the work as promised. He is generous with his time in explaining options, so that we can make informed and economical decisions. Had we had Chris to explain the advantages of these products to us sooner, we would have had them installed years ago. The water softener is to remove hard water minerals (we had been renting water treatment service for years and could have paid for our own softener many times over), and the whole-house filter is to remove sediment and contaminants, such as chlorine and VOC's.  Note: Chris provided this information upon our inquiry; he did not try to sell us anything.

FFive Cities Water Systems
The RO is substandard, I did not need a whole house filter and the ScaleStop was a disaster. It allowed the hard water to etch our brand new flatware, glasses and plates and sinks. When I approached Bob to ask for a refund for the ScaleStop he refused. He knew the system was worthless yet continued to sell the system in our development and those homeowners were refunded their money and Bob's ScaleStop is no longer offered for sale there. Unfortunately for me I purchased directly from Bob and not the developer so I was not refunded my money. I know that Bob does not deal honestly and will not refund my money so if you are considering doing business with "Water Bob" DON"T!

FHague Quality Water
[Note: My original review of the company was going to be one notch better, but slowater.com lost that notch between me writing the review and posting it!] We were considering Hague Water for our whole-house water system on our brand new house (200 miles from our current residence). Slowater.com was the local distributor. This review is not a reflection on the actual hardware — we don’t have enough information on that yet — but solely based on our experience with Slowater during installation which, all in all, took 7 visits spanning 14 weeks (Jan 14 to April 15th) for a system in a brand new house which is already plumbed for a full-house water treatment system, requiring zero work on the house itself! Though the owner's son (EricF) did extend us an 8% discount on the project, his arrogant and unapologetic attitude, coupled with a lack of accountability, has left us very unimpressed. Visit #1 We met the sales guy (EricB) on the property for our initial water test. EricB was professional and appeared knowledgeable. We ended up choosing Hague because of him. He answered our questions and mentioned that the installation would take “a few hours.” We made an installation appointment for a few weeks away — not within days — enough time so that there should not have been any surprises. Dealing with EricB continues to be the only positive experiences we have had with slowater.com. He will reappear later in the story… Our rating reflects what happened during the next 6 visits… Visit #2 - We left at the crack of dawn to drive the 200 miles to meet the installer. He was almost two hours late. - After a few hours of just puttering around, NOTHING had been done. - He casually declared that he did NOT have all of our equipment, and that he has to return. - We spoke with EricB and he promised that the next time “the owner” will be there and will take over the installation; we made an appointment for the following week. Visit #3 - Once again, we were on the property on time for the appointment. - The same installer showed up forty minutes late, dropped off his worker, and leaves to buy more material (bleach!). He was gone for over an hour. - Again, after hours of puttering around, the only thing that had been done by what turned out to be the trainee, was some piping that blocked access to our condensation outlets!! - We asked him to not do that, called EricB… who called EricF… who turns out is part owner. EricF showed up to the property. - He agreed that the installers were not doing the right thing, and sent them home. - He causally declares that he was aware that the first visit would be a failure because, well, he knew they didn’t have the equipment. Of course he didn’t bother telling us not to make the 400 miles of round trip drive. - Then he tried to sell us more filters — add-ons to the treatment system we had signed up for — to which we pointed out that he is failing to install the first system, and perhaps he should first install the primary system before trying to sell us add-ons. - He promised to send his “best installer” next time. Visit #4 - Another installer showed up and did appear to be competent. He installed the system, albeit haphazardly placed in our basement. - The next day we found a puddle of water and 2 leaks on the PVC connections. Visit #5 - The installer came back and fixed the leaks we had found, plus another he found himself. Visit #6 - EricF came back to adjust the system. Visit #7 - We return to the property after 2 weeks only to find a massive leak in yet another PVC connector, our basement soaking with water; the water had seeped up on furnace platform, had seeped thru the concrete walls to the garage and soaked our furniture. - It appears that the failed connector was previously used… yes, a used PVC connector. - EricB takes over our case again. As previously stated, he is the only positive experience we have ever had with these folks. He sent the installer back to repair.
