Recent Review: Marcus showed up exactly when they said he would.  He brought with him and installed the humidifier pad I had asked for, and he serviced the basement heater AC unit for the winter (I am on a service contract, which I recommend).

Recent Review: I had an attic fan that was causing the home to become really hot in the summer and it was awful. They installed a solar panel attic fan in the garage. It was my most successful project and it is much cooler in my home during the summer. They have always been nice, polite, and on time. My only complaint is I can't work the thermostat properly. I can make the home cooler and warmer, but I don't know anything more than that.

Recent Review: Bill D did an excellent job on our annual service. My wife and I had numerous questions concerning the care of our furnace, humidifier and water heater. All these questions were thoroughly and politely answered. We plan to call Manwill for our future heating and plumbing service.

Recent Review: Excellent. They removed my old system and all ductwork and poured a new concrete pad the first day. Installed the new unit ductwork, an additional return air register, filter and humidifier the second day. The unit they recommended wasn't cheap, but it has some excellent features, without having to buy the top of the line model (including stainless steel heat exchanger, good warranty, etc.) We now have much more airflow and airflow is more even throughout the house. They were courteous and professional and cleaned up pretty well when they left.

Recent Review: R Plumbing was recommended to me by the construction plumbing company. I called one day and described the job; Dave was here the next day and promptly completed the job. He examined the job location, went out to his truck to prepare the PEX and copper pipe to be spliced into the existing plumbing, then went into the attic and finished the job without any problems.

Recent Review: I interviewed many contractors before hiring Daniel. Only Daniel gathered the numbers (rooms sizes, window types and sizes, insulation type) and ran all calculations to properly size the furnaces, A/C condensers, duct and vent sizes. All other companies just guessed what I needed, and they were all wrong. I selected Amana equipment, 16 SEER condensers, and 96% AFUE furnaces. They come with a lifetime warranty on the scroll-type, dual speed compressors and heat exchangers. Only Amana offers such a warranty. If a compressor or a heat exchanger breaks in the first five years, Amana will replace the entire unit with a new one. Another first. Back to Daniel, he spent over a month redoing the system from scratch. His work was absolutely first class, and the result is a fantastic, perfectly-sized dual system that cools my house in no time without seeing much difference in my electrical bill! Daniel is also an excellent plumber.

AARS / Rescue Rooter Illinois
Very well. They explained what was to be expected and their quote was within what I had received from others. They offered a discount for having a home depot card, which made the job more affordable. They came on time with a three man crew who explained everything. They were great about the order they did things so I would not be without heat for very long. They put down tarps to protect the floor. They don't use subcontractors which was nice. When they were completed, they took me downstairs and gave me a lesson on every peice of equipment. I was really pleased with their work.

AManwill Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
We had four different quotes from highly rated local companies.  Manwill was very competitive on price and took the time to talk about where the AC units would be installed and how the wiring would look on the back of our house.  They were respectful with the many kids wandering around and cleaned up any mess they (the workers, not the kids) made.  They worked hard and got the job done in a timely manner.  They educated me on the systems and took the time to break down the costs at the close of the job.  I'm very pleased with the whole process and haven't felt this comfortable with a company or in my house (now that we have AC) in a while.  I wouldn't hesitate to have Manwill back for more work in the future.

They are the same people who installed the heat pump in the house a long time ago, so I knew that they would do a great job. Besides, they had to combine many different tasks such as the electrical and plumbing part of the job and they did awesome.

FArmstrong Plumbing
I am very surprised that I am having to write a negative review about Armstrong Plumbing. My past experience with Armstrong was a STRAIGHT-A review.  My only guess is that something must have gone wrong with the company or at least for me.  As I write this, I am still leaking water above my ceiling between my bathroom and closet. And Armstrong has completely blown me off. Gasp! On the 30th close to midnight, I discovered a major leak/flooding between shared closet and bath wall. On the 31st, bright and early, I called Coit. They're are like magic, they came immediately. They practically beamed themselves over - they arrived so quickly. Also, I called Armstrong Plumbing that morning and spoke with Michelle. I explained my situation. I offered to send her photos so that they would be prepared upon arrival. *What's leaking is the coupler joint between one of the water pipes and it leaks 24/7! I told her that I would email one of the owners, because I have in the past, communicated directly with Matt.  Michelle, In an excited tone, asked that I not.  Ok...So, I agreed not too and she assured me she would get me dispatched. I did as said, sent her an email. Coit left and asked, "do you have a plumber coming?" I declared, uh... no, not yet. I'm waiting to hear back from Armstrong. They said, "we can't do any work until the leak is repaired because any work we do will get wet." Makes sense! I waited all morning and day, not a peep from Michelle.  I called again that afternoon and got another person that said she was busy and put me on hold. Instead, she hung up on me in error I assume.   called back. The lady said, oh... our lines are busy and have 5 other calls going. [It's great to be busy, right?] Anyway, she took a message. So here we are on the 2nd of January and I'm leaking water, fan blowers and dehumidifiers going and I'm leaking water. and Armstrong still has blown me off. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED. Not because they didn't jump and come to my demanding attention because  I understand being busy.  But, they have hired staff to make phone calls and send emails. They even have my cell phone.  So why not  Email, Phone or Text?   Shame on Armstrong.  Really bad communication and this is unfortunate.  Basically, a courtesy, SORRY DAVID, WE ARE TOO BUSY BUT WE CAN RECOMMEND ANOTHER PLUMBING FIRM would give me immediate notice to look for another plumber rather than wait.  Instead, they just let me wait while water leaks until I give-up. This is really bad service for someone who is having a home owner water flooding crisis. Below: This is the note I sent the owner of company.  As you can see, I'm reaching out a 4th time in hopes that they'll respond, but I doubt it.
