Big Angelo's called back promptly after I left a message. Actually arrived early to see what needed to be done. Once he determined what was needed, he was done was done in a very short time.

ARELIABLE PLUMBING & HEATING SERVICES
My guest toilet was flushing spontaneously, and I was expecting company for the weekend.  I called Ben Franklin Plumbing, and they were at my house the next day to correct the problem.  The service person arrived on time, he put booties on his shoes, and he even changed into a clean shirt before he made the call (mandated by the company!).  I had a choice of replacing the plumbing mechanisms or purchasing a new high-efficiency toilet.  He helped me weigh the pros and cons and didn't push the more expensive choice.  In the end, he just replaced the parts on my already low-flow toilet.  When I called back the next day for someone to check on something that I thought was a potential problem, the service person came almost immediately and addressed my concerns.  Although the repair was more expensive than I had anticipated, the service and quality of the job were worth it.

AMr Rooter Plumbing
The septic tank backed up into the house. I called Mr. Rooter and they got someone to come out almost immediately that morning - their operator was right on it and called back right away. The technician had to dig around the yard to find the access pipe, then had to replace sections, then had to dig up the septic tank. That was cracked so had to be replaced. All the way through the process, the technicians (three were out there now) showed me what was going on. They were polite and competent. I highly recommend them. This is the second time I've had to call them for something and both times they were excellent to deal with. I am renting this home so I'm not sure what the final price was since the discussions took place between my landlords and Mr. Rooter personnel. However, they had a standard printed price list so were able to tell the landlords exactly what it would cost for each procedure. My landlords have now switched to use Mr. Rooter for all the needs they have in their new home because they were pleased also. They thanked me for finding this company for them. Also, Mr. Rooter did not charge more for coming on weekends nor did they charge a "come over to see what is wrong" fee like a different plumber was going to.

DAqua Terra Water Service
Gave estimate over the phone, work was performed but cost way more than estimate. He also tried to sell me a really expensive water softening system. The work was questionable, the guy said in some places it would work a certain way for the plumbing code.

Curtis was very nice and patient. He was very positive about our DIY screw-ups and even showed us where we went wrong. He explained how to fix the problems ourselves if they come up again in the future. This is above and beyond what I expect from service personnel. In stead of just "getting the job done" he made it personal by helping us out in many ways.

Brian Hicks showed up within 15 mins of scheduled 8:30am start time and began demolition of platform and reviewing of materials I provided. His 2-man crew arrived thereafter, and proceeded with the work as Brian left. Brian consulted via phone with with his team during the day. The crew finished, cleaned the area, and departed about 5:00pm (as expected). They helped me with my part of some installation work (electrical wiring of pump manager), and advised me how to tighten the sediment filter housing that I had left too loose. All were friendly, competent folks, not given to glad-handing or "marketing". I received the invoice via email the next day, for the low-end of the estimated amount. I am very pleased!

I needed to correct a code violation on an older home we just purchased. Removing the tank heater and installing the tankless was the best solution for the property and resolved the code violation issues. Linarus determined that the tankless unit needed for the our water usage and that a higher-volume gas line was necessary to have it operate as needed. He did his homework and even admitted that he'd never installed one before. Lisle purchased an excellent make/model and had it installed along with the necessary recirc pump and return under our house with difficult crawl access on the day he said it would be done. He came back a week later to make sure things were still working properly. Excellent price and clean, good-looking installation.

Brian Hicks is a good plumber and is prompt to return phone calls and comes personally to do fixes. I called him and left him a message and he called within the hour. One of the toilets has worked flawlessly for the last two months and we couldn't be happier about it because it had plagued our dreams for several years as to weather the tank would stop filly after every flush. The other toilet (and he warned us about the dangers with the Toto toilet we had and it's faulty flusher) which had worked better over the years and just started leaking, was fixed for a week or two and then the flusher gave out and now we need to get it looked at again. I called Brian to take a look at a few more plumbing issues (kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and second toilet) five minutes before typing this review and though he has yet to return my phone call I am confident he will contact me soon, despite the fact that it is after 5pm.

ABig Angelo's Plumbing & Heating
I worked with Juan who was dispatched by Joe (who answered quickly and set a reasonable window for arrival). Juan arrived rather quickly - more importantly, he found our place here in Prunedale, which can be a challenge. The break was obvious to see as I had already excavated to the area, but we still needed to clear out additional room for the repair. The water line was just over 4 feet deep, but between the two of us, we had a hole cleared in about 20 minutes. The break (in a spigot T) was removed, and although Juan did not have the expansion pipe in his truck, it was a quick jaunt to the big box and he was back. A little more dirt removal, and the fix was in... we waited 20 minutes for the cement to set, then opened the tank valve - no leak!. Juan stuck around to make sure there was no dirt or debris blocking the pipe - he did a great job cleaning out the pipes prior to repair. All in all, great response time, great work, and a very reasonable bill - especially for a holiday! Thanks Juan and Joe!
