Palm Desert Carport Building

SAE Builders was subcontracted to do the work by the contractor I had hired for several tasks. SAE built a 2-car, free-standing, gabled carport adjacent to my home. The work was done in a timely and professional manner, including the staining of the re-sawn lumber to match the home. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work done and would not hesitate to recommend them for similar work.

High Touch Inc is an amazing company and we were thrilled to work with them. We will only use this company and would only recommend this company to anyone doing a home renovation. I was referred to this company by past customers who were thrilled with Simon, the company owner and General Contractor. We interviewed 7 General Contractors and made a massive spreadsheet to compare the quotes from all 7. Simon came in right in the middle but more importantly than that he's a trustworthy, upstanding person you can rely on. My husband and I expected the best and we got it. Simon is incredibly professional, detail oriented, helpful and goes above and beyond. We've been working on our full home renovation for 6 months. Simon guided us through the process, helped us deal with our shady architect and structural engineer, caught mistakes and helped us through the city permit process. About halfway through the process we decided to hire Jorge, Simon's in-house designer. Jorge is incredible. He listened to our vision and guided us to make sure everything would come out just right. If it wasn't for Simon and Jorge I don't know how I would have made it through this house process since it sucks up so much time and energy. I will only use Simon and Jorge for any construction and design needs. I look forward to our next job because it was truly a pleasure. They became part of our family. If you're looking for a renovation, if you need a designer on the job, this company is the only company for you.

JON IS AN ARCHITECT AND CONTRACTOR WHO IS EXCELLENT AT CONCEIVING THE DESIGN, OBTAINING PERMITS, AND MANAGING THE JOB. HE FOUND MANY WAYS FOR US TO SAVE MONEY, AND ALSO WORKED WITH US TO SOLVE SOME STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS AND ENSURE OUR NEW CONSTRUCTION WAS PERMITTED AND BUILT TO CODE.

Found CJ on Angie's list and gave him a small project to test him out. Our carport was falling apart, and a few sections needed to be reframed and reroofed. The existing structure is about 80 years old, and had been added on to haphazardly over the years. So there were alot of weird angles and odd connections that had to be worked around. CJ came through beautifully. His framing skills are flawless. At every step, he thought about how to tie-in to the existing structure in ways that allowed us to rebuild only a few small sections, which saved us alot of money in labor and materials. The process went very smoothly, and we are very happy with the results. Based on this positive experience with the carport, we then hired CJ to oversee some drainage issues. He built exterior French Drains along two sides of our house, and routed all the water to a new dry well. This involved alot of excavation, lots of new perforated pipe, and lots of gravel. It was a messy job, in less than ideal weather, but CJ got it done quickly and efficiently. Best of all, we now have a dry basement! For both projects, CJ worked independently when we needed him to, and alongside us when we wanted to be part of the process. We found him to be easy to deal with, very honest, and very reliable. Next up.... we're hiring CJ to convert our garage into a small apartment. Should be fun.

We bought a house in Lake Balboa 2012. We loved everything about it except we had no driveway because we have a garage in the back with access via an alley.  We live near a school and shopping center and most of the time we could not park in front of our house.  I didn't even know if it was possible to put in a driveway since there were no others on our street. I bought $49 Angie's deal for an outdoor evaluation and plan.  Jeff from US Home Developers came out right away.   Jeff was able to convince the city to allow us to put in a driveway and carport.  It was complete at the price and time frame in our contract.  I was worried that it would look out of place on our street, but all I get is compliments from my neighbors.

Prompt estimate. All work done by specialists. Kept on schedule and provided daily progress report. Work quality outstanding. Was flexible with my schedule. Will recommend to others and call back for construction work again.

Steve and Jody are wonderful to work with if you are looking for garage doors. Steve arrived early for the estimate on a Saturday morning-we signed up to have them do the work that day and Steve placed the order on Monday for the parts. Jody came out that Wednesday. Part of the work involved framing to match the garage-which was a carport with a swing gate. Jody did a wonderful job to match the woodwork-he also installed a secuity door after the 2 garage doors were installed on the old carport which is now a new garage!. Jody met with us the following Saturday to program the remotes (and he set up my wife's Homelink on her Volvo with the code to open the garages without the remote too). So we got 2 new garage doors, remotes, framing and a security door to button up the place-awesome! This was all done within a week start to finish.

I hired Smart Homes to build a garage. The project went smoothly thanks to fantastic crew and Eden, project manager. Eden was very helpful, professional and respectful. They cleaned working area at the end of every working day. Their work was very accurate and they used high quality materials. As I expected final outcome was top notch! I highly recommend Eden and Smart Homes.

I have great experience with this contractor. I hired LA Expert Builders for a big project, they built an addition and they did fantastic job. They were extremely professional, worked hard every day, kept working area very clean and very patiently answered all my questions. I will highly recommend LA Expert Builders and will work with them on some future projects.
