Very poor quality job. Patch work is terrible and the whole purpose was to repair the entire damaged area. I didn’t get what I asked for and I paid an extra $20. I am partly to blame since I left town for a couple of days and my son didn’t know what he was looking at.

FSkinner Swim Pool Plastering Inc
I rarely write reviews. However, I felt compelled to write a review after my recent, unfortunate experience with Skinner Pools. I hired Skinner Pools in March of 2019 to re-plaster my pool. The project was completed by mid-April. While filling the pool back up, I noticed two large black splotches on the plaster in the deep end of the pool. I sent pictures to Skinner, and they told me not to worry about it. About a month later, the splotches were still there. In fact all of the plaster in the pool was discolored to some degree. I eventually contacted Skinner pools to see if there was anything that could be done. To their credit, they sent the owner Kyle out to take a look. He tried to sand the plaster down in a few spots to see if that would help. It didn't. He tried to apply some acid in a few spots as well. That didn't help either. He agreed that it looked terrible, and he also agreed that he would be upset if his personal pool looked this way. He said the only solution would be to re-plaster the pool again. He proposed that he could re-plaster the pool at his cost of $5160. As you can imagine, I wasn't thrilled about spending another $5K to fix something that the contractor screwed up. I had already paid him $15,780, for the initial job. In addition, re-plastering a pool requires the pool to be drained and refilled. It also requires a lot of work and expense to care for a pool that has been newly re-plastered. Trying to be fair, I proposed that I pay him $1000 to do the re-plaster. I argued that the $15K I had already paid him, plus the $1000 would cover all of his costs for both plasters. I sent that proposal to Skinner Pools on August 1st. I have tried to contact him twice after that. Still no response. So, in summary, I strongly recommend you look for another pool contractor that will stand by their work.

AGeneration Pool Plastering Inc
The owner, Valentino, is a very experienced, smart & professional pool contractor. I'm so grateful to Angie's list for referring him, as well as extremely grateful for the positive experience Valentino provided for us in this LARGE undertaking. We nearly remodeled the entire pool - old tiles were popping off, the plaster surface was cracked from age & tree root intrusion; several of the pool cement pads had been lifted by the adjacent trees & need replacement, etc. Valentino was tremendously helpful throughout the long process and had the subs which were needed for the tile work, etc. I cannot recommend him STRONGLY enough. Post-project he has gone way beyond the scope of duty by advising me every step of the way regarding the addition of new water, chemicals needed to re-start the pool & care for the new plaster surface, responding to calls & text messages with questions about all the daily chemical readings. If you are looking for a pool expert - Call Valentino at Generation Pools Re-plastering!!

ADAVID JUAREZ PLASTERING
Exemplary quality of work. Answered my call when first plasterer I contacted didn't show up. I don't live in the area so I was pretty desperate. Also led me to other trades people to do work on the house. Can't sy enough good things about my experience.

The job looks very nice and I have received many compliments. The guys were always on time, friendly, and professional. They did leave a small mess, but they came out the next morning and cleaned it up. I am very impressed with their work and I highly recommend them.

ACordova Plastering And Stucco
Pressured washed the exterior of the house, then taped and covered windows and doors. He repaired cracks and damaged areas of the existing walls. Then color coated the stucco, going over it three times to get the color I wanted. Then cleaned up all the areas. He was punctual and professional and it was done in a timely manner. He was a pleasure to work with and he and his brother worked very hard to provide a good product. I would definely use him again. He gave us a two year guarantee on the stucco.

AB & J Plastering
He made an appointment and he showed up. He listened to what I had to say and he bid on what I asked him to do. He gave me a quote of $3350 for doing the work. The price that he quoted me is competitive. He is a good tradesman. I am considering him for the work.

AChanging Colors By Adolfo's Painting
He was neat (cleaned up after himself well), punctual, did a beautiful professional job. I recommend him highly. He had done a small job in the living room the previous month, sanding and painting a lower cabinet, then installing a plastic cover over ugly TV cables that ran along the baseboard. Turned out beautifully.
Recent Review: The process was seamless once all the $ were worked out, it went flawlessly. The detailed schedule below is how efficent the process was. Day 1 - Drained pool Day 2 - Deconstructed the main plaster and tile Day 3 - Install New tile Day 4 - All brick and masonry work completed Day 5 - All re plastering with Pebble Sheen completed Day 6 - Final finish smoothing of Pebble Sheen plaster and refill pool. Adams Pools is a very well organized company, they are not the cheapest, but when it comes to quality, they would hard to beat. I would highly recommend Adams Pools to anyone.
