Recent Review: The designer came out to measure the length of wall 'run' for proper placement and ordering of cabinets. And since I design floor plans (CAD) in my spare time, he was willing to use my schematics for cabinet size and placement, appliance placement and spacing, once his measurements agreed with my allowances. This saved a good bit of money and he was professional about doing so. We went with top shelf cabinetry, and the entire install was handled well, with no damage noted to vinyl flooring or the pricy new woodwork. I mentioned we would be replacing our 30" refrigerator with a 36" model and requested and received a 38" space just right for our upgrading/remodeling needs. The appliance guys were impressed when the 30" range slid right in with a 1/2" to spare on either side...all appliances had been researched and measured a number of times, Mazzera's was right on the money, even given somewhat tight quarters. Attention to details, spacers between cabinets, crown moldings and end runs were likewise well done. We ended up saving additional money on our quartz countertops with a nice bullnose detail, as the team leader found a partial slab in the medium color desired-would have been at least 20% more for a separate order. Our 1942 bungalow had more challenges besides the 8 foot wide kitchen, as the area for the range butted onto a brick fire place on the other side. Mazzera's had to arrange for proper range hood venting as the previous ceiling fan actually vented nowhere and could have posed a fire risk. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with, was the replastering of the hole in the ceiling from the original fan they removed. The sub mentioned this would need to be painted over with a latex paint to help prevent grease retention and discoloration, but it was left to us, I felt this should have been completed by those more comfortable with painting a ceiling from a step ladder.
