Recent Review: I ran out of warm weather to do the work in the year I obtained the quote but I plan on having the company do the work this year. I'm a big fan of companies that are actually licensed, bonded and carry the appropriate insurance for their employees (and am willing to pay for it). Mr. Myles was very professional and I believe that his workman will do an exceptional job. I will provide an additional review after the work is performed.

Recent Review: They worked me into their schedule to complete the work before the house was listed. They even came on Saturday! Matched the paint trim, repaired and sanded. They were on time and very polite. They cleaned up when they were done. I would definitely use them again.

Recent Review: We called and called and finally got Garringer to come and look at our house.  He painted it quite a few years before, and did a very good job, so we wanted to hire him again.  We agreed on a price (the highest quote by the way) and a date in September 2013. He did not show up until we called and called until mid October 2013.  When he did come, his crew was overheard b******* about the job (its a 3 story house) etc.  Then Garringer said he could not paint the house because it had lead based paint on it once, and thet he was not certified to paint the house, despite the fact that he did paint it previously.  He just left and never returned, leaving off shutters here and there, etc. I called and pleaded with him, trying to come up with other alternatives as it was late in the painting season, and we turned down other offers etc.  He was adamant about not painting the house and offered no solution. We tried calling the other contractors but they were not interested as it was so late in the season. Finally we did find a painter (Keith's painting in Valley Springs who did a great job) so we finally did get out house painted. I am not sure what the actually issue was, but it was not lead based paint. The house had be painted 3 times so any residual paint had been scrapped or sanded off.  And, we discuss the lead paint issue many times before they arrived.  I think either his crew did not want to paint the house, or he found a more lucrative job as he does a lot of commercial painting.  In any case,  we were left with no painter with no notice and no negotiation. Very unprofessional.

Recent Review: Dale came EXACTLY when he said he would on the date and time we agreed on for the estimate. After explaining what he would be doing, cost, and choosing colors, he began work the next week, as he stated he would. Dale was awesome. My house looks better now than when it was built 11 years ago. He took all of the shutters down, painted them, returned and hung them perfectly. The doors and entryway look AMAZING. I have recieved so many compliments from my neighbors and have referred him to everyone. He has incredible attention to detail as there is not one spec of paint where it should not be and the areas that were painted are very even and clean. He was able to repair and paint the areas that have separated from the brick, which I was not expecting but certainly made a huge difference in the appearance. He is truly a professional and a perfectionist. I plan on having him back to do my two-story foyer and hallways. He also has a terrific eye for color and is helping me choose my new color scheme. He is also very personable and easy to work with.

Recent Review: The wooden trim and other Items listed before were in need of paint , it had been over ten years since it was last done.  I contacted three paint contractors that work in the area.  All three had been recommended by friends,  I chose Mr. Stark over the other two due to price of the proposal and the way the proposal was presented.  It had a description of the project, which included what he would be doing to prep the area to be painted, and what products he would be using.  Due to his schedule my job would start in six weeks, which was not a problem for me.   He started the job when he said he would, power washing the exterior, sanding and scraping the old paint, and calking the joints and cracks.  The painting followed.  I was extremely impressed by cared he took in prepping the areas to be painted, in addition to that it was the way he ended his day everything that as moved was put back in place, ladders and equipment was stored or taken off the property.  The paint job itself looked better then when it was first painted, I think it was due to the quality of paint and the way it was applied.  All in All I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Recent Review: Ed made the job easy because he's trustworthy, skilled, and dedicated to meeting the customer's requests.   I live in California and used Angie's List to find a painter for my mom's house in Maine.  Ed had super reviews so I gave him a call.  I had confidence in him from the start.  He's an excellent communicator and listener.  He understood what was involved and followed through on everything promised.  And...he was easy to get hold of.   His painting estimate was more than fair (lots more scraping and caulking than anticipated) as were the costs for the other items.   Before Ed could begin I found out the house had water problems: the roof, fascia, and gutters had to be replaced (by another company).  Meanwhile, Ed went beyond the beyond by giving me his observations about the water outside and in the basement.  In part, because of his input, the water situation was solved, as well. After watching mom exit the front door one day, he asked about adding a handrail for her.  He did and she was grateful for his concern.  The painting was completed a bit before schedule.

Josh painted the cabinets in my rather large kitchen as well as my front door and shutters. Josh was very prompt, courteous and professional. Not to mention his price was the absolute best. He arrived early, but waited until the scheduled time to knock on the door. He managed his time well and completed the job a day ahead of what was originally scheduled. It was originally my job to get the paint, which I forgot to do, but Josh had no problem going to the store and ordering the paint. He was very honest, leaving me the receipts and all the extra materials. Oh did I forget to mention parts of the base boards around the cabinets were cracked, he replaced them with no problem. I Will definitely be using his services again, in fact I already have another job lined up for him.

Dale was thorough and detail-oriented in all aspects of his work. He was open about recommendations and suggestions to help keep colors right for our very visible location. Dale took the time needed to do the job to our liking, with striking results that left us very pleased indeed. He is a great on detail and insists on delivering quality results -- without the rush. We're delighted.
