Recent Review: Philip was absolutely amazing. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work. Everything step, texturing, flooring, cabinets, appliances, etc, was done very well. Every time we made changes (extend the counter 4"'s, create a nitch in the wall above the cooktop, change the backsplash and add.....), Philips response was, "we can do that, no problem". With all of the changes we made, the hidden challenges Philip found that needed to be fixed, exactly 8 weeks later everything was done for the original price, no hidden or extra charges. Oh yeah, he told us before we started it would take 8-9 weeks so he even hit that mark perfectly. I have already recommended Philip to several friends looking to have work done and I will definitely call him for any future projects we have.

Recent Review: This old house was built in the 40's and remodeled once in the 70's.  Guy replaced the older butcher block counter with granite, along with window sill; replaced the sink, faucet; replaced the old drop ceiling and the old fluorescent lights with recessed can lighting; replaced the bar lighting with new pendant lights; built and installed soffit above cabinets with crown molding; added a cabinet to match old cupboards above refrigerator and extended cupboard above the oven, removed the old headerboard; replaced the old wallpaper with tiled back splash and replaced old brick veneer with birch that matched perfectly the cupboards and painted the kitchen and dining room.  The kitchen is updated and beautiful.  They did a wonderful job and their cleanliness was so very appreciated.  I would hire them again and I have referred them to family and friends.

Recent Review: I contacted Dan who came over and discussed the scope of work with me. I wanted to do some of the demo, framing, and electrical myself. He provided me a quote for each step that I was unsure if I wanted to complete and told me he would do any portion of the work. He and his crew came out the following week after I had completed the demo of the ceiling and relocated the plumbing for me. They also replaced the HVAC ducting to allow for recessed lighting and to fit it into a smaller soffit. At that point I wanted to reframe the soffit myself and install can lights and pendent boxes myself. He agreed to come back the following week after I did my portion and continue with the installation of the new drywall. The next week rolled around and I had run out of time to relocate the range vent, he jumped right in and finished for me. After talking to him that morning, I also decided to insulate the ceiling, he told me what to buy and I headed to the hardware store while he was installing the vent. He then installed the insulation for me without a complaint. He and his crew installed the new drywall, finished, and painted everything I wanted. It was a pleasure to work with Dan and his crew, they did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Recent Review: It went extremely well, from beginning to end. After having a bad experience with a contractor who failed to follow through, I found HomePRO. Matt scheduled an appointment and showed up on time. My no-show contractor had told me I needed the entire 2-story back wall re-stuccoed because rain was leaking into the house through the wall. Matt, however, suggested a less drastic plan, to start with the area where water appeared to be getting into the house near a first-story window and expanding out from there as necessary. The leak was eminating higher up, around a second-story window, limiting the wall repair and re-stuccoing to that section of the back wall. He also determined that another leak above the sliding glass door resulted not because of faulty stucco but because the company that installed that door installed the wrong kind of door. Since my house is 25 years old, I also had HomePRO replace all 19 windows in the house and the sliding glass door for more energy efficiency. I also had him repair/restore the ceiling and window frame in my dining room that was damaged from water leaking in through the wall. While at my house providing me with an estimate, Matt noticed several areas of dry rot in the exterior front of the house, so I had him repair those as well. He also noticed that the wooden side-door to the garage was extremely weather damaged, so I had him replace it with a steel door. With each aspect of the project, they matched the paint seamlessly so you would never know repair work had been done, for example, you can't distinguish the new stucco from the original. The crew was always on time, very efficient, friendly, polite, and did daily cleanups. After the project was done to the back wall, they restored my patio to the way it was before they started. After a couple of days with the new windows just on the back wall, I noticed a stark difference from the old ones -- I had to adjust my AC up 2 degrees, using less AC than before. The new windows are also more soundproof, I used to be able to hear the bark of every dog in the neighborhood, now I barely hear the dog next door. While the price was higher than I expected to have to pay, I feel that the quality of work that HomePRO performed will endure for another 25 years. I also feel that if I have any problems with any of the work,I can call Matt and he won't hesitate to come out and fix it. He is very conscientious about his company and is sincere in his insistance of customer satisfaction. HomePRO did little extras for me, like install smoke alarms, at no extra charge, to bring my house up to code for the county inspection. If I ever need any other work done of this nature to my house, HomePRO will be the first contractor I will call -- I highly recommend Matt and HomePRO.

CSuper Shooters
Did not use them because the estimate was outrageous compared to three others I received for the same job.  Super Shooters bid $1,540, when the estimate I went with was $900 and the contractor did an incredible job.  Keith was nice enough of a guy, but his estimate was way out there.  (The other two came in at $1,075 and $1,025.)  It was disappointing because Super Shooters did a job for me about four years ago and it went well.  I'm glad they're doing well enough to be able to charge these rates and keep busy.  Good for them.

AAkers Home Improvements
I called Craig Akers about raising the drop ceiling in our kitchen & adding LED recessed lighting.  He provided me with an immediate estimate, which was about $2k less than another estimate I received from someone else.  Craig was able to start working on my house within the week.  He gave me a lot of good information through the process.  The kitchen was completed within 5 days & looks amazing!  A few days later, we decided to have the tile in our entryway redone because we knew we could count on Craig & his crew to make it look beautiful.  Craig, his drywall guy, and his tile guys all worked h****** my remodel.  They always showed up on time and worked as long as it took to get the job done.  I would recommend Akers Construction to anyone who wants dependability, experience, and craftsmanship.
