Protect A Child Northern CA
Recent Review: We hired Brent at Protect a Child to put a pool fence up. We already had the supplies, so we hired him for just the labor. He came highly recommended by our pool contractor and did not disappoint. We felt his labor prices were fair and he did a terrific job. He was efficient and the fence looks great. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a pool fence.

Recent Review: We selected Freedom Fencing because we had a good feeling about their company and meeting the Estimator who was also one of the owners.  We did interview other fencing companies and received bids.  The  other companies just didn't measure up compared to Freedom Fence.  Look at the finished product of the companies you select.  Freedom does some extra's to make the fence standout! Everything went as planned on our job from start to finish.  The estimator showed up on time and spent time with us going over his bid.  He offered a list of addresses where we could view his past work.   On the day of install, the installers showed up right on time and began to work.  They protected the existing landscaping and they started in after setting up the area.   They worked so fast and the finished project was A-1.  The fence has been in place now for a few months and looks great.  The finished product is much better than I expected.   The installers had to go out to the lumber yard during the install as there was a discrepancy on the order and they were a few feet short.  I called the Freedom main office and I was told not to worry about the extra cost as it was their mistake and they would cover the issue.  I was very impressed.  When I tried to pay them extra for the issue ( I wanted to pay for the extra wood and wanted to make it up) they told me that it just was not necessary. I would always call Freedom Fence first for any future projects.  These guys are the best from start to finish!

Recent Review: Freedom Fence is the trusted contractor for all fence-related work at our homeowners association (164 units, 35 years old). We are in the process of replacing every wooden patio fence on our large property. Freedom (when we can get a scheduling window) whips through work orders for as many as 13 fences per job. Their price is always reasonable, the work is near-perfect, and our residents give positive feedback regarding their professionalism, politeness, and accommodation. We also use them for iron fence work (perimeter security fence, pool fence). Our association managment company (AMC) uses them for many HOA clients.

Guardian Pool Fences
Recent Review: Happy to say everything went as promised. Owner showed up to give us a quote. Installer came in the morning and was done early afternoon. After many problems and delays with other contractors, we were pleasantly surprised in how smoothly this job went. Show up, work, get paid, goodbye, WOW!

SPAULDING FENCE SERVICES
Recent Review: Steve came out to provide a bid. He pointed out that our original concept was not very practical and would likely not stand the test of time. He helped us come up with a new design that actually cost less than the original one. If you are looking for something very quick, they may not be the company for you. They are a small family business and it took some time to get onto their schedule. Once they started though, they finished the job and did excellent work.

DGuardian Pool Fences
I called Scott regarding a pool fence at my residence and left a message.  He called back that day, or the next, and we talked for about 5+ minutes regarding installing a portable pool fence in our backyard.  During the call, one of my kids started crying so it was difficult to hold a conversation.  I told him it's better to talk later.  He then said "Okay, I've been there, I will call you tomorrow. Good bye." and hung up on me....I was somewhat surprised at the hang-up in my face but okay, maybe I misunderstood. So I waited for him to call me back the next day...he NEVER ever called me back.  I ended up hiring another company to do the job and it went very well.

CGuardian Pool Fences
The owner Scott was very responsive when I was seeking quotes and when I chose to proceed with his company. The install was supposed to take 1 day and they might come back on a second day to actually put the fence in place where they had to put the poles in dirt to let the concrete set. The 1st day (Thursday November 13, 2014) he called me an hour after he was supposed to arrive and then showed up and almost nothing was done - apparently they don't work when it's misting/sprinkling - this would have been nice to know, but not a big deal. They arranged to come back (Saturday November 15, 2014) to finish it. Unfortunately there was a family emergency so it wasn't completed. Again understandable. They promised to be back Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. I heard nothing from them. I finally called Tuesday afternoon (maybe Wednesday). I was promised by the owner that if it would get completed within 48 hours - I didn't hear from them until the night before or maybe that morning they came to work again which was Thursday (November 20, 2014). Once again it was not completed. The installer made some progress but had to go out and get another bag of cement and said he would be back within a half hour unless it really started raining. I waited about an hour and a half for his return before I went out to do my own errands. He never showed up again. Admittedly about 2 to 2.5 hours after he left it did start raining. I called that Friday evening and left a message after hearing nothing from the company as I was now getting very frusturated with the length of time this was taking, but more from the complete lack of communication from the owner. I did not get a call back from the owner but the installer called me Saturday afternoon to see if he could finish it on Sunday (November 23, 2014) which I agreed to. He was not able to complete the job due to a rotten fence board that I had which while I understand is my fault, I am also not sure why on any of the three prior days this would not have been noticed. I was unaware that they were going to connect directly into my fence, I thought there would be a pole at the end. He suggested the pole and said it would cost $75 more and that the owner Scott would probably call me that afternoon. He called on Monday afternoon and made his apologies and excuses and said they would put the polein free and get it done tomorrow. No one came on Tuesday and no one called. On Wednesday I get a phone call wanting to do the work and I was at work and unable to accomodate them and when I mentioned I expected them yesterday he made his excuse. We scheduled Friday in. So Friday November 28, 2014, over two weeks later this 1 day job was complete. The quality of the fence I cannot complain about. It is what I expected other than the fact that I thought the fence would end with poles (on both sides) and not attached to the wooden privacy fence. I think the fence is safe and will help protect my child from accidently getting in the pool - I have no complaints about the product. My complaint is that the fence took over two weeks to complete (obviously some unforseen circumstances played a role in this, which I understand). The communication from the owner was seriously lacking. I would have appreciated communication that they couldn't/wouldn't work in a sprinkle, it didn't cross my mind as I had other contractors during a similar period working straight through the rain. I would have appreciated from the owner after each time my fence wasn't finished as to what the plan was and when it would get done as opposed to me having to call him. I would have appreciated follow through on the days that someone was supposed to come but no one showed up or called. All in all I wish I had went with the other company I had obtained a bid from. Scott and his company have been disappointing and I would definitely not reccomend them based on my experience.

AOne Stop Landscaping
We showed them the type of ranch-style fencing we wanted and they got to work! They worked with us to get the design of the fence and gates right for our 1920's era house and neighborhood. The fencing turned out exactly like how we'd hoped. The crew was professional, punctual, and detailed. They  kept us informed of any hiccups (like a delay in the materials delivery) and worked hard to exceed expectations. We would definitely hire them again.

ADAN TOLSON CONSTRUCTION
Dan Tolson and his team started and finished the work on time, cleaned up when they were done so that there was no mess left behind, were respectful of us and the rest of our property, and did excellent work at a very fair price. I am very pleased with the work and the company, and I will do business with Dan Tolson the next time I need a handyman or construction project done.

AAGUILAR FENCING CONSTRUCTION
Although Aguilar Fencing construction schedule is full until five weeks out, a last second cancellation give us the opportunity to have the fence installed the week after we signed the contract. A three man crew arrived as scheduled at about 7:15 am on June 13. They were efficient in removing the old fence and stacked it in sections for my neighbor who wanted the wood. (Aguilar was ready and willing to haul the material away). They were efficient and organized in digging and setting the Steel Z posts. They had all the tools necessary- gas auger, electrical jack hammer for breaking concrete and rocks from the posts holes, and appropriate digging bars and s post hole shovels. They were careful in setting the posts exactly in straight line. 61 feet of the fence also contained a retaining wall that required additional Z posts between the fence posts. They used a special concrete mix that quickly set up the concrete posts. Once all the posts were set, the crew installed the fence rails and retaining wall While one of the crew member installed the fence boards. the other two crew members removed and replaced the three rotted posts on my side fence All the work was completed by 4 pm that day and we were extremely pleased with the professional job. During the construction, Mark Aguilar the company owner stopped by to oversee the work and to make sure everything was up to par. MY neighbor across the street was so impressed that she had Aguilar Fencing remove and replace her old fence of 87 feet using the Steel Z posts. Her fence required the installation of an existing gate, and included a posts that supported a double gate on one side ( the double gate was not replaced). Aguilar also replaced a rotten 4x4 post on a side gate that was on the other side of her yard. and not part of the new fencing. The total bill of her work was $1930. Aguilar started about 10:30 am and job was completed by 3:30 pm- again with a three man crew. they hauled away her old fencing material and she was very pleased with the professional fence they installed and the properly working gates she now enjoys. From every step of the way, we were treated very professionally and found the service to be exceptional. We found -Stephanie (office manager and contact person for Aguilar Fencing) to be very easy to work with and the most helpful company representative that we have ever come into contact with in dealing with a construction/installation project
