Recent Review: Tony came over and talked to us about the deck. Jarrett came over and did the final measuring. Then Mike and Ron came over and did the work. Mike explained every step in great detail and was very helpful. They even moved the furniture off the deck so we could power wash it when they were done. Everyone was very helpful and nice. The pergola is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Recent Review: System Pavers exceeded our expectations. Lucas our project manager was easy to work with and very receptive to our expectations, timelines, last minute requests and budget. We are extremely pleased with the final product of both our pergola and pavers. We have already received so many compliments.
Recent Review: I used System Pavers for the design and installation for the front, courtyard and backyard for a new home in El Dorado Hills. It was a large scope of work, including demolition of existing concrete in the courtyard and backyard covered patio areas, 3 separate waterfall features, a firepit artificial turf, covered pergola and extensive amount of hardscape with pavers. I am more than pleased with the finished work, exceeding my expectations in many ways. At the design phase, the designer really listened and understood the overall look and feel I was looking for. The first draft design he came back with was excellent, taking all of my jumbled mess of ideas and turning it into a beautiful, cohesive design. The cost estimate for the design was above my overall budget but System Pavers worked with me patiently to modify the plans while still maintaining the integrity of the original design in order to fit my budget. Once work on the project began, I was impressed with the efficiency of the work crew. The project manager kept me well informed throughout the process and the crew worked quickly but with precision. The design of my yard is linear with clean lines and a modern feel. It was important to keep all the various elements precisely aligned. They did an excellent job making sure that all the various elements aligned perfectly. Even when I modified the design slightly during construction on one section of the yard, System Pavers accommodated my change and the end result they produced were even better than the change I was envisioning. My sincere thanks to everyone at System Pavers for delivering on my dream yard. I highly recommend them.
Recent Review: Well, BGL did the install, what beautiful wood. The whole job turned out great. Great uniforms too. Thanks Ron. I will refer you to my friends. Every worker had vests, water and were polite. Pro company for sure. They work so fast and even worked for me on the weekend when it's not their policy. I really appreciate since I wanted to have my yard ready for my son's graduation.
Good, but don't ask this handyman to do anything else. His expertise is only in the replacement of rotted wood. He's good at that though, and a nice guy !

ATom Yancey Company
The patio cover and spa gazebo that Tom Yancey Company designed has transformed our back yard so that we can now make use of it all year round. Tom and his entire staff are great to work with. We will definitely refer them to anyone looking to have a patio cover built.

DSierra Sunscreens & Patio Covers
I left work early and spent nearly one hour with the estimator. We were not impressed with our interaction and had no confidence that he would be able to provide an accurate estimate. He did not communicate well, not because of his impediment, but because he used terms and language that are unfamiliar to new homeowners, and because we insisted that the slats for the pergola face a certain way because of the direction of the sun, (a factor he should have known) but he kept directing us to other designs. It was also off putting that he continually asked (in person and on the phone) if we were getting other estimates--of course we were and if we weren't, we wouldn't tell them otherwise. In the end, after leaving work early, delaying dinner plans, three phone calls and three months later, we never received the estimate. This was a waste of time.

ARolling Hills Handyman Services
We had used Ken last year as well and this time we called him when we needed the wooden pergola in our backyard to be stabilized. He was able to understand the problem with the structure, come up with a good solution, and execute it. We had asked the opinion of two other businesses but found Ken's understanding of the structure stability issue to be the best and his price was better. He added the necessary lumber, repaired some other parts that needed to be nailed and/or screwed down, and then painted it to match the existing color. Despite some issues with his work crew, which caused some delay, Ken was consistently polite and professional about it all. He is quite versatile and can handle most issues related to a house, including fixing bookshelves and dishwashers! We will use him again.

AKermit's Home Rejuvenation
We have an extremely large deck and gazebo which runs the entire length of our house . We called Kermit for his opinion on either replacing the entire deck or just replacing some older boards and restaining. Kermit came the same day and rather then putting in an entirely new deck which was estimated at 30K, he said we could probably just replace boards and one major support portion and then have a usable deck that would last us years. He replaced about 50% of the boards and rescrewed all the screws as the existing ones had rusted. He discarded of all the waste perfectly so we weren't left with any clean-up. The job site was never left messy. It took some time as it was a big project. The deck now looks absolutely gorgeous even better then it had before and we love it! Kermit is so fair with his pricing and so honest in what you can expect. Nothing was ever a surprise. When we would come to a place where we weren't quite sure what to do, we would just ask Kermit if this were his home what would he do? We followed his lead each time and are very glad we did.

FReid Construction & Maintenance
He dragged it out and didn't start working and in early December I finally gave up on him. He had stories about other jobs; he had to travel, and had personal problems etc. I wouldn't hear from him for weeks at a time and finally he just blew me off and said that he didn't want to do the job. He strung me out for 4 months and had a very bad attitude. He didn't do any work; it was basically in the planning stages. What he had proposed for the price was fairly reasonable. He estimated the price to be $4,000 with materials and labor, but I never paid him because he never did the work. He kept saying that he was getting quotes from lumber yards and when I spoke to the people at the lumber yards myself they said that he had never been there to get any prices. I would not use him in the future.

Steve is an absolutely amazing custom home builder. He is also a master with outdoor hardscapes. His ATTENTION TO DETAIL is unsurpassed. He is a PERFECTIONIST and sees everything. VERY DETAILED, and this is what separates a good builder from the BEST. I truly feel fortunate to have found Steve. Previously, I had gone through several builders with poor work. I learned of Steve's work through his website (please visit - it's amazing), and wanted to reproduce a structure with large hand-hewn beams that I had seen incorporated into a large neoclassical/Italian-looking vineyard estate that he built. He designed and created an incredible structure that makes my home and yard look rich. Every last detail was considered - from multiple coats of custom stain to hand-hammered iron brackets to give the structure an old and substantial feel. He also saved me from a poorly constructed flagstone and travertine patio - coming in and having to painstakingly remove poorly placed and poorly grouted stone. EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the flagstone and employed techniques to change the consistency of the grout and extend the hardening period to avoid formation of cracks. Steve has also installed tall French doors to my house, adding a grand appearance from both inside and out. I look forward to asking him to do more work in the very near future. Call him early in your project wishes/design. He is well known in the high-end home building market. Give him a call first before considering anyone else. I promise you, this will be the best Angie's List recommendation you have ever followed through on! - AT
