Recent Review: Our plumber, Cameron, was outstanding!  We had him out twice for different things, and both times he did exactly what we asked in a short period of time and with excellent results!  I would definitely recommend Martin Plumbing.

Recent Review: Went very well, the day they started it reached 108. They started on time and were very respectful of my home, left everything very clean. They even removed some trash I had from the demo of the old vanity when they left. Great job.

Recent Review: Howard was very quick to schedule an appointment. He called before he came and discovered our leak was caused by a defective cartridge in our relatively new faucet. He suggested other faucet brands that were more reliable than the one we had. I bought the faucet the next day and he came the following day to install it. Howard brought another person to help and it only took them about 20 minutes. Howard was very nice, personable and professional. His bill was extremely reasonable. I was expecting to pay much more than he charged. I will definitely call him again!

Recent Review: I called to make an appointment Saturday morning. The earliest one available was for 5:00-6:00 that evening so they recommended making an appointment for Sunday which was okay with me since it wasn't an emergency. We made the appointment for 8:30 Sunday morning. At 8:15 Sunday morning the dispatcher called to tell me the plumber would be late but would probably be there around 9:00. It was closer to 10:00 before they showed up although the dispatcher did call to tell me when the plumber was on his way.  The plumber, Jimmie, introduced himself upon arrival and put on shoe covers prior to entering my home which I really appreciated since it was raining that day. He told me that the existing faucet could not be repaired and suggested that I pick out a new one and he would come back later to install it.  I asked him if he could pick out one similar to the existing one because I wasn't sure I would pick out the correct kind. He agreed and, after giving me a written estimate for the work which I signed, he drove to the store and picked out a faucet, brought it back & installed it.  He was a very quick & neat worker and did a great  job.  I'm very happy with my new faucet and will definitely consider using Discount Plumbing for other jobs.

The first time the representative was scheduled to come out, no one showed up, When I called the office, I was told they had called me to reschedule (as they couldn't come out that day) and I had told them that I had other estimates and would choose someone else. They hadn't called me and I would not have said that, as they were the first service provider I called. The receptionist must have called someone else thinking it was me. I was dissatisfied as she was adamant she spoke with me and I know she hadn't (no on else answers my phone), but figured I would give them a second chance. The representative did show up on the correct day the second time around, but was over an hour late. He did call to let me know that the job before mine took longer than anticipated to complete. I was very unhappy by the time he arrived, but he was very courteous , respectful, and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a loose screw, which he promptly fixed. He also gave me a written estimate to replace the shower faucet when I needed to in the future and waived any charges for the repair. If asked if I would hire them again, I would say "yes" The service professional did outstanding work in diagnosing the problem and not trying to sell me on installing a new faucet (I had already purchased a new faucet and it was sitting on the counter). He advised it wasn't needed at this time. I appreciated his honesty, his call to tell me he was running late and the waiving of fees. My advice would be to keep in close contact with the receptionist/scheduler so things don't go awry.

He completed the work in a satisfactory fashion. He had to come back a couple of times because the inlet valve, which is the waterline that goes to the toilet, leaked a couple of times. It was an old line and we chose not to replace it. He came back each time at no additional cost and took care of it. After the second or third visit, he said that if it leaked again, he would replace the line, but it didn’t leak after that. Just as a matter of coincidence, I had a friend who had his hot water heater go out last weekend and I recommended Rich to go out there. He thought he was going to have to replace his hot water heater, but Rich got out there and did some repairs and told that the heater would last another 5 to 7 years. He is a great guy and works 7 days a week. He is a guy, who I think, is trying to build up his clientele because he is a young guy. He is just topnotch. One of the things that attracted me to him was his prices. I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable he was. The quality of his work was very good; even though he had to follow up a couple of times, it wouldn’t lessen my opinion about him.

Bob was one of several contractors we contacted via Angie's List reviews, and I was impressed by the variety and scope of projects this company could handle.  We did go with another company for a small outdoors project, while being frankly told by a big box installer that our dishwasher would be a 'very tight fit". A plumber doubted we would ever get a regular sink into the narrow run 21" depth cabinetry so typical of 1940's bungalow homes' galley kitchens. Bob has much experience in remodeling older homes and I was of the opinion that the large skill set Bob, Rick and Jesus brought into our mini remodel would reward us with the many years of expertise.  This "can do" attitude was exactly right for our rather unusual needs, and the fact I had thoroughly researched and selected my own appliances and fixtures for the majority of the projects. Like the other professionals consulted, we were cautioned against going with the sub-pare water heaters on the market for DIYers. Bob knew of a better brand that could also save us some money, but was gracious enough to go with a likewise professional grade Rheems gas water heater we preferred, and the price turned out to be comparable with his connections. The utility closet was quite cramped, and removal of the old, larger water heater required a minor dis-assembly of the adjacent gas furnace.  The tall and skinny water heater fit in just right with acceptable clearances, a nice new stainless steel water pan and all returned to as-good-as or better condition. So wonderful to have piping hot water in seconds rather than minutes. The 32" x 21" Kohler sink was a lucky find, just right for vintage homes and the tricky dimensions of those narrow kitchens. If this didn't fit, the alternatives would be way expensive custom cabinetry or more than funky bathroom cabinets.  The custom tile work was a little iffy as well, given the original 40's tile no longer available.  But just as suspected, Bob's team was up to the challenge and gave us a striking, attractive result with an individual touch.  We were also given tips on how to preserve the grouting and overall tile work and today put on final sealant as instructed. The water lines were capped off so tile back splash could be installed, and the new copper connections with attractive faucet adds a slightly modern touch while being true to the vintage and Art Nouveau feel of our home.  The few bits and pieces needed to pull this all together came from Bob's truck...we were spared more trips to the big box store in this way. The garbage disposal is so quiet, we are amazed how well it works, and the dishwasher is wonderfully efficient, relatively quiet and makes everything look much cleaner.  And speaking of clean, Bob & Company left our kitchen in great shape, all trash and 99% of dust and debris gone.

AAdrian Construction
Adrian Construction remodeled our kitchen last year.  When we decided to remodel the laundry room as well this was the only company we contacted.  In this remodel we took out a half bath that was never used and moved the washer & dryer to that space.  We also added a large pantry, removed the old cabinets that were over the washer & dryer & replaced them as well as adding a granite counter top and cabinets under the counter top.  We were able to reuse the utility sink which Donovan Adrian reconditioned and added a new faucet.  We also removed the old cabinet under the sink & replaced it with a new one.  Adrian Construction also replace the old linoleum with new laminate flooring that matches our dining room & kitchen.  The cabinets and granite counter top also match the kitchen.  We also had to move the fan in the laundry room into the old half bath.   Donovan Adrian always lets you know what is going to happen in the next day, week.  He is always checking on the work done by his employees.  With the flooring he makes sure every board lines up so the effect is even, (I think he uses a ruler to make sure each board is half way up from the one next to it).  The flow is perfect.   We also had Adrian Construction replace the old fan in our bathroom with a new one.  The old one had caught fire as I was taking a shower so I was a little concerned having a new one done.  this one is so much nicer and it is totally encased to keep from having moisture seep in.   I would and have recommended Adrian Construction to anyone interested in small or large remodels as well as any repairs needed (we even have a stack of his business cards so we can give them to anyone interested). Donovan is able to do so much & will find someone if he can't do it.  We even had a problem with our door handle for the front door & one day it was fixed.  His employee had taken a moment to fix it without being asked.  What service.
