Recent Review: Couldn't have gone better. We worked with Mike Henn to estimate and complete the job. He was extremely helpful and responsive, both by phone and by email. The crew was friendly, fast, and professional. And the price was very competitive ? even though we have a complicated skylight box they had to custom wrap. All in all a very good experience. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needed their services.

Recent Review: Conversations by phone to set-up estimate, schedule installation appointment and follow-up questions were not as friendly or welcoming as they could have been. The workers arrived late to do the job and forgot to bring a flashlight, so asked to use one of mine. The workers took the insulation bags and strapping away with them, but could not tell me how many bags were used and did not clean up the dirt they left behind. Also damaged some garden plants while carrying rolls of insulation into the house. Lastly, neither truck nor worker's clothing had company name on them -- which seemed less than professional. On the positive side, they completed the job in less than 2 hours from time of arrival.

Recent Review:           When I first spoke to Steve (the company owner) I was very impressed with his willingness to share information about installing insulation.  Even though he has probably explained the process tens of thousands of times, he was very patient and thorough.  He provided the name of the company that manufactures the cellulose material which I checked out to my satisfaction on the web.  I did get a couple of other estimates which were unacceptable for one reason or another.  As they say you get what  you pay for and Angie's list was right on regarding the companies I contacted.     The night before the job was to start the Everguard office called me to confirm the techs would be at my house within a specified 2-hour time window.  The Everguard techs arrived right on schedule after confirming their arrival time by phone call an hour earlier.       They confirmed the size of the job and went to work.  They began by installing the fiberglass batts on the vertical walls in the attic and then proceeded with the blown-in cellulose part of the job.  They were neat and clean and did not damage anything in or around the house.  The entire job was completed in about 2 hours.  They vacuumed the work area around their ladder and carefully looked around for and vacuumed any stray bits of insulation where they had walked in the house.  Finally they swept and hosed off the area of the driveway where their equipment was parked.  I was impressed that they made sure the sizable volume of product wrappers were placed in to our recycling container.       Before they left I took a look at the job and found that the blown-in insulation had been installed neatly and was very level.  The batts on the  vertical knee walls were neatly installed also.   They also instructed me how to obtain the applicable rebates and how to make sure subsequent workers in the attic don't adversely affect the insulation.      When we are ready for in-wall insulation to be installed, I will be calling Everguard again.        I strongly recommend Everguard for insulation.

Recent Review: They did a great job at the attic insulation removal. I needed my batts insulation removing for years and I wanted it replacing with blown in insulation. Luckily I found out that Attic Insulation Labs has experience with batts insulation and blown in insulation, so I was very happy and they were perfect for the job. The batts insulation removal went well and they quickly carried out the blown in insulation installation. They told me that inbetween they sprayed my attic with a sanitizer spray which kills bacteria and they also rodent-proofed my attic by filling in any holes with wire mesh and expanding foam. These guys went above and beyond what I expected and I now know that my attic is gonna be clean and warm for years and years now. Also they were very cheap and affordable, especially when there providing such a good service with all the cleaning and rodent proofing as well.

Recent Review: Their estimator Ken agreed to meet us on a weekend, even though they usually don't work weekends, so that was a plus. He arrived on time and helped us understand the different options we had to insulate our 1,500 sf home.  He was very helpful and friendly.  The installers came 2 weeks later and did the job within 3-4 hour hours.  They covered the entire interior walkway with plastic that they carefully taped to the walls.   They installers were friendly and pleasant, given the hard work it is to work for hours in a cramped attic that is only 5' at the peak.  They cut and installed the batts in between the rafters and into most ceiling gaps, but there were a few places especially around the far perimeter that they didn't fully cover with the insulation.  They did cut square openings in the batts to properly expose the incandescent ceiling can lights.  Although I can't tell for sure, but I think there are some can lights that they didn't expose, and just covered them with insulation because I think I felt a can light under some insulation when I later crawled on my belly in the attic.  (I had to go up and reattach an A/V system cable in the attic that came lose during their installation.  This was no fun but partly my fault for not properly securing it during my initial installation in the attic.)  My hope is that the insulation is installed away from ALL can lights so there's no risk of a can light catching fire! Maybe I should have it inspected...? After they left, I unfortunately noticed 3 can lights that are now slightly pushed down from the ceiling, as if they were stepped on or crushed. The paint and drywall surrounding the can light cracked and you can almost see the adjacent rafter pushing thru the ceiling at one of the lights.  It's only noticeable when looking up, but it wasn't there before the installation. There are worse things that could have happened, and in all fairness the installers did actually fix 3 or 4 can lights that were already drooping out of the ceiling, they reattached the clips in the attic to make these lights tight to the ceiling as intended.  They get points for that so I'll consider it an even wash. So far the house does seem warmer during cold nights, and cooler during the day.  I feel the money is worth it, and look forward to seeing how much cooler the house is this summertime.

Recent Review: These guys are great! I got 6 different bids for this job. Kobie came out and I notice that they were different from the start. He was the only one that actually put on a protective suit and respirator before going up into the attic (if someone doesn't care for their own health, are they really gonna care for the people living in the house who they'll never see again???) To me, this means they're SAFE. He measured the entire attic which happened to be 50-100sq/ft less than anyone else measured. Hmmmm... Since I wasn't up there measuring with them, we're all the other bids adding extra sq/ft. to make more money??? To me, this means they're HONEST. After Kobie was done measuring we sat down at the table and he gave me a presentation with videos and pictures of the equipment they use and the scope of work that would be performed. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and gave me a more than reasonable price based on my previous bids. To me, this means they're HIRED. Long story short, they cam out the NEXT DAY and did everything they told they would. They put plastic down inside the halls to keep the walls and floors as clean as possible. They also took me up in the attic and various stages of the project so I could see for myself the quality of work being performed. Like I said, They're great. A+ work. Thank you!

OJ Insulation - Corporate Office & Insulation
Recent Review: I had 5 bids for this job.  Several were "attic companies" while some of them were good, their prices  were all over the map and hard to compare. From the first phone call to OJ I was told Mark would call me shortly and he called within 10minutes. He explained options, was professional and helpful. I decided at this time that Oj would be our company. Todd in scheduling was helpful as we were trying to coordinate with our exterminator to have attic decontaminated and any rodent entry points sealed off. As luck (Not) would have it a very hot heat wave happened this week making the conditions in the attic miserable, hot, dirty but oh my goodness the crew that came for clean out was so impressive. They worked so hard, never acting like the heat or conditions were bothering them at all.  We kept giving them water which they  accepted, couldn't be more impressed with their work ethic. The installation crew today was on time and worked hard as well. Our attic it clean, tucked in with excellent insulation and we won't have to bother with it again. thankful to have found this company, would highly recommend.

Recent Review: Communication was great, set up a time and they were prompt. They did all the work in a single day and hauled all the stuff away properly. They sub-contracted with an asbestos group and they did a containment bubble while they worked. The work in the attic was done well, they used batt insulation in the attic and it all looks good.

Recent Review: The Attic Guys did a great job, from Ron's initial inspection and estimate to Lennell, Adrian, and Tyree's work removing, decontaminating, and installing the new insulation and sealing the entry points.  These guys worked in difficult conditions and did an efficient, outstanding and professional job.  A+ experience from my end.

Recent Review: We had a huge infestation from rats in our attic. Ecorattic team did a very clean job, removing all the old insulation from our attic and making sure that during the entire process we will be safe from any debris getting into our house. The sealed everything with special plastic nylons, covered all the entry points for the entire house and installed new R38 batts insulation. We highly recommend them to anyone with any rodent issues or just for insulation upgrade. Thank you guys for a great job from start to finish.

AAttic Insulation Labs
Attic Insulation Labs were very good at explaining their work in layperson’s terms, telling me exactly what they were doing to my attic in ways that I could understand. There were one of the friendliest and most polite contractors I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with, remaining incredibly patient and kind throughout the process. The new batts insulation they installed in my attic is working wonders – I have seen a noticeable drop in my energy bills since Attic Insulation Labs installed my new batts insulation, and I’ve been recommending that all my friends get the same service done for their own houses, especially for such a steal of a price! Attic Insulation Labs is one of the best attic cleaning and insulation installation contractors I have ever come across, for sure.

Rusty from RBH was excellent to deal with. When I told him we were concerned about the environmental impact of using insulation materials as well as our family's health, he gave us a couple of great options for recycled and non-toxic insulation materials where health matters most, as well as their respective price points. The crew arrived on time and moved quickly. They left behind a bit of trash -- particle masks, some black plastic wrap, etc. -- which I wasn't really crazy about, and didn't discover until they were gone, but otherwise I'm very happy with the work and the service.

The did a good and clean job of insulating my attic.  There were a few cold days after the insulation and I could feel the difference that the house became warmer.  The used blown in insulation but at the attic entrance area they used batt insulation; this is a great idea to keep it clean when using the entrance door.  The office was very helpful in processing paper work and providing information on how to apply for gas company rebate (I have not received the rebate yet).
