Recent Review: I love my new, insulated garage door. It looks great and the guys were very efficient when it came time to install it. They had a variety of choices for me to choose from.

Recent Review: Rich had the opportunity to prey on my ignorance and sell me a more expensive, insulated garage door, but instead he explained to me why I didn't need it. Speaking of expense, no one else came close to his price. I couldn't be happier with my new garage door and the quality of the service provided. I have recommended AAA Garage Door to a neighbor and a co-worker.

Recent Review: They came out on Saturday to give us an "estimate". I felt a little strong-armed into going with them because of the guys attitude. We were checking a couple places out- but my husband went with them. We were told that they would be there Monday morning- they didn't show up till 3:15 pm. My husband had to call to find out when they were coming. The lady on the phone- a little snotty, not very nice. My advice- they need a call center that verifies appointments. The young men that came to install the door did an excellent job. They had it done in 2 hours- installed the new door, tracks, door opener. They hauled away all the old stuff which is great! Overall we're happy with our new insulated garage door- price was about average for all the work & product.

Recent Review: I was looking to have my old wood doors replaced with new insulated metal roll up garage doors and garage door openers. I was also looking to have the trim on my house painted. I had a few companies give me bids for the separate jobs. The door bids were a little higher than I wanted to spend. The paint bids, one was very high and one was given to me written on a business card. I looked in the local phone book and saw an ad for Brooke's Garage Doors and Painting. Jimmy from Brooke's came out and gave me a verbal quote then a few hours later emailed me a written quote. To my surprise his quote came in under all the other quotes, I will let you know his quote for the 16 foot and the 8 foot garage doors with the two Lift Master garage door openers and the painting of the trim and patio cover. Also repair to the patio cover, pressure wash, caulking, removing the chicken wire on the 2nd story eaves where the pigeons got into the old fix and replacing it after the paint was dry ( I supplied the wire). His price for the entire job (paint and doors with openers) was less than one of the quotes just to paint the trim on my house. The garage doors and openers were finished in a matter of hours and work great. The prep work and painting took 5 days. They cleaned up after themselves every day. Jimmy came back after the 5 days to walk through the finished job. I pointed out a couple of the fixes I saw. The fixes were taken care of not the next day but the day after. The fixes were made to my liking. Jimmy came back in a couple of days for a look see and he didn't like the fix as much as did. He is sending back a person to fix what I think is a good job. I thought I was a picky it needs to be perfect person. I'm very happy with the work preformed and the products purchased. Mike B.

DJoe Hymes Handyman Service
The original contract was opened on 12/29/13 for garage insulation, re-drywall, installation of electrical outlets and 3 security lights around the exterior of the house, and re-texture and paint the interior of the garage for $1300. On 1/5/14, prior to the completion of the first job (a horrible mistake on my part), a second contract was opened to install drywall, insulation, and patch and paint the ceiling of the garage for an additional $600. A $650 deposit was given on 12/29/13, followed by a check on 1/4/14 for $250, two checks on 1/5/14 for a total of $600, a check for $150 on 1/11/14, and another check for $100 on 1/15/14. That's the last day Joseph (Joe) Hymes actually did any meaningful work. So almost two months since the original contract was signed and two deadline extensions given by myself as a courtesy, the job is only half complete. Joseph (Joe) Hymes has been paid $1750 of the original $1900 estimate PLUS an additional $100 on 1/14/14 to repair the garage door in which he broke forcing me to park outdoors for two days. With the exception of a bout with the flu which supposedly lasted roughly 2 weeks, this man has continuously lied about when he would show up, followed by excuses as to why he didn't show up. The excuses range from his worker being sick, his truck breaking down, a relapse in sickness, being behind in other jobs, etc. I have lost count of how many security risks this contractor has caused me because I have either left my garage opened or left my remote under the doormat (at his request) in hopes that when I return home from work the job would be complete. I never hesitated to issue payment to Joseph (Joe) Hymes because he is my neighbor and came highly recommended by another neighbor. I trusted that he was a man of his word and that he would do as he said he would considering that his license (which now appears to be nonexistent) and reputation were at stake. I found out the hard way that this was not the case. This man is a fast talking liar who sees nothing wrong with holding a yard sale in plain view while he is supposed to be performing contracted duties. I can't make this stuff up. It really happened and he used a light pole in my yard to post the sign. Unbelievable. Hindsight is indeed 20/20. I wish I had checked these reviews prior to hiring Joseph (Joe) Hymes. Until now, I had no clue how someone sues for pain and suffering. I now understand the emotional turmoil one can actually suffer as a result of lies, excuses, and feeling cheated. I have owned my home for 4 years. I could have very well done much more with my hard-earned money and left the garage as it has always been. My poor lawn looks horrible now as my sprinkler system has been disconnected since the beginning of the year. I honestly regret the day I agreed to do business with this man. And if you readers don't take heed, then you will too. Guaranteed. I have since filed complaints against Joseph (Joe) Hymes with the BBB and Consumer Affairs/Contractors State License Board. Although I may never get my money back, I will most certainly try. In the meantime I will use my bought lesson to do whatever is in my power to make certain that Joseph (Joe) Hymes doesn't earn another penny and/or have a chance to scam another human being out of their money.
