AMENACI DESIGN DRYWALL The King Of Drywall
Ciro was professional about every detail.  His crew was polite and skillful.  The new wall looks wonderful and now I don't have to listen to my neighbor's TV or music any more.

Nick came and looked at the ceiling and then gave an itemized estimate on what would be done to fix it. The job was scheduled within two weeks of our accepting the bid and took two weeks to complete. The new ceiling had to be framed in, wiring replaced and new fixtures installed. Then the ceiling was drywalled and plastered and a new range hood installed. The kitchen was then painted and the final lighting was installed.

It went very well. To keep my carpet clean, they put down plastic from the front door to the back bedroom where the work was done. They were prompt and considerate. The work was high quality. Can't tell that any work has been done to the wall. They cleaned up when they were done. Work was done in the time frame that they gave me. 5 days.

Very well, work was started on time, finished on budget and was done very well. Great communication, good materials were used throughout. Highly recommended.

The crew showed up when they said they would and finished the job within one day of the estimated time. Some unexpected problems that could not be foreseen resulted in additional cost and time, but those were not the fault of the contractor.

I started by calling three local companies and getting them to come out for quotes and plans on how to accomplish our upgrade. Though Ben (from Ritefast) was the first to respond, I could tell from his plan that he was most likely going to be the one we went with. Not only was he accommodating to our needs, his pricing was competitive as well. He was able to start the following week, which fit perfectly with our needs. Because the server room is the heart of our business, each day it was down was effectively a day that our business could not run. As a result, Ritefast took it on as a weekend (and late night) job. We shut down the servers on Friday morning as Ritefast showed up. The AC showed up and it was bigger than either of us was expecting, but it was going to give us the cooling we needed. This required a last minute change to expand the room and reroute the entrance to the space. Ritefast adapted to the change and still go the job done. Saturday morning at 9am, they had the demo done, the new wall constructed, and roofwork begun. Sunday morning at 9am, they had all of the insulation done, soundproofing was underway. Sunday night at 10pm, I went by and there was still clearly a lot of work to be done. Things were progressing well, but there was still a lot to be done. I was concerned that we were going to lose all of Monday for work. I arrived around 8am Monday morning and they were finishing up detail work at that point, everything but a second coat of paint was done. The crew had stayed until 4 or 5am to complete the work and then came back only 3 hours later to put on finishing touches. The place was already clean and nearly 100% ready to use. AMAZING! Shortly thereafter, the paint was dry enough that I was able to reinstall our servers and have the company back on it's feet around noon. Drainage for the AC was a big concern going into the project and the original plan was to run it out the wall and down the side of the building, but RiteFast was able to run a line up to the existing AC drainage on the roof and plug into that. Seemed great. Turns out a couple of days later that the main AC units shut down and that there was some leakage from the roof. It seems like the addition of the trunk was creating some unexpected backup. We called Ritefast immediately upon noticing and they came back and fixed the problem within a couple of hours. Everything has run smoothly since. Our new room is quiet, cool and dust free, and the surrounding offices are no longer plagued by noise or heat from the server room, making our space more usable and allowing me to maximize our square footage. These guys did it all, construction, soundproofing, roofing, electrical, ac, telephony, flooring, etc. Ben, was personable, knowledgeable, and kept me in the loop the entire time. Luis and his crew were friendly, experienced, and a pleasure with which to communicate. I am very pleased and will use RiteFast again for any business or personal needs coming up.

AIselt Handymen Services
Mr. Iselt indicated that the ceiling was in very bad shape regarding plastering and finishing, in some places being held together with tape. He warned us that changing this would be very expensive, and that it would be better to repair the broken light and install a nicer dropped ceiling. I agree with this practical and inexpensive solution. Mr. Iselt has never done the type of work required on this project, and recommended finding someone who installs dropped ceilings and repairs fluorescent lights.

They were very efficient and thorough. They left everything clean. They coated everything in the home with plastic. It was a very messy process and I was impressed with how clean they kept everything. Their service was excellent and the price was very reasonable.

ATME Construction Inc
I contracted TME Construction to enhance the sound proofing for an interior wall in my condo. Tony was very knowledgeable about the way to achieve this, and had the best pricing. The workers showed up on time, the work was well done and completed in the proposed time frame meeting all of my expectations. I would not hesitate to use TME again, and highly recommend their services.

Recent Review: The garage needed to be repaired and fixed. The walls in the garage didn't have any drywall or enough light. Sam and his crew, came over to my house and installed drywall, lighting in the ceiling and some outlets around.  In the same time, we also included to remove the existing water heater and to install a new tank less system, the work in the garage took 1 week and we are happy with the speed.  The quality of the work came our good and we love it.

Recent Review: Jacques was great to work with and his knowledge and workmanship was excellent. He showed us various cabinet door catalogs to help with our decision, and he was totally willing to custom-mix the wood stain color we had in mind. His sub-contractors (plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile) were all very professional and clean and all had been working with Jacques for 10-15 years each. As for the budget, we had a dollar amount in mind, and his was in the right neighborhood. There were several add-ons we requested after the work began, which he accommodated without issue. Jacques responded to calls or texts very promptly. We were told each bathroom would take 5-7 weeks, and for the most part, that was true. There were minor delays here and there, and we did start the work late in the year near the holidays, but it all worked out fine. Like any job, especially on an old house, there are unforeseen costs that will come up which will take you over budget. This cannot be blamed on anyone. My only complaint would be that he could have communicated a little better on dates and times when workers would be showing up. We frequently found out the night before what would be happening the next day. But the end product was excellent and we are extremely happy. We will definitely hire C&M again for future remodeling projects. Description of work: Remodel guest bathroom: Remove vanity and toilet. Keep existing cast-iron tub. Build new custom vanity and new floor-to-ceiling linen cabinet. Electrical updates for code requirements. Repair drywall and old crack in plaster ceiling, primer coat. Install new toilet, sink, granite countertop & backsplash, lighting, exhaust fan, etc. Replace tub drain (too old). New tile for tub surround & new ceramic tile floor. Epoxy grout used throughout (this was a small upcharge – but totally worth it). Not included: Fixtures, paint, mirrors, cost of tile and stone. Total cost: $20000 Remodel master bathroom: Remove double-sink vanity and toilet. Completely remove 3ft x 3ft shower stall, curb, and shower pan. Bump out one wall of the shower stall to allow for a bench. Raise ceiling in shower stall to match the rest of the bathroom ceiling. Build new custom double-sink vanity. Electrical updates for code requirements. Repair drywall, primer coat. Install new toilet, double-sinks, granite countertop & backsplash and shower bench, lighting, exhaust fan, etc. New tile for shower & new ceramic tile floor. Epoxy grout used throughout. Not included: Fixtures, paint, mirrors, shower door, cost of tile and stone. Total cost: $22000 Extras: Install new cabinet doors in a hallway linen cabinet. Also new cabinet doors for above-closet storage cabinets in 3 bedrooms. 2 ceiling lights in kids bedrooms, move 1 wall sconce in hallway to recessed light in ceiling. Total cost: $2000

Recent Review: Sean is the owner and managed the work. He is very knowledgeable and professional, and always returned calls on a timely basis. The work was done on time and was done well. I'm no expert, but others commented on how well the job got done. The tile work looked especially nice. Sean's pricing was higher than some others, but he was flexible when he became aware of other bids that were lower.  If you feel it's most important to have a remodeling job professionally done, on time, and with great results (even if it might cost a little more), then Regal is an excellent way to go.

Recent Review: Based on reviews on Angie's list, I contacted Kyle for an estimate for the following: float & patch ceilings (1000 sq ft), demo kitchen counters, relocate fridge, install ceiling fans (2), recessed lights (4), convert electrical outlets (4), install shower faucet. Estimate was very competitive & Kyle was hired. Kyle's crew (Timo & Adrian) were very hard working and very respectful. The job, estimated to be a week, did extend a little over 3 weeks, but the workmanship was good especially the drywall and patching where they were able to replicate the plaster pattern on my ceilings (house is a 1929 Spanish). There were some questionable design decisions made by the crew that I was not completely happy with, Kyle corrected them no problem and without additional cost. Though Kyle was not on the job site every day, he was easy to get a hold of and responds quickly to calls & texts. Overall I'm very pleased with the work Kyle & crew did and would not hesitate to work with him in the future.

Recent Review: Jose responded quickly to my request for an estimate. The estimate was delivered the next day and was lower than I thought it might be. He told me that they had other jobs so could not get to me immediately but gave me sufficient notice when he was available. I appreciated his honesty in letting me know that he could not do the job immediately. He supervised the job but his employees were so professional that no supervision was needed. The men were skilled, polite, and extremely neat in cleaning up and replacing furniture. They also did excellent repair work on some drywall where shelving had been taken down and the drywall was quite damaged as well as corners where the old drywall tape had cracked. My townhouse is forty years old but it looks new now. I would recommend Jose to any of my friends without hesitation.

Recent Review: I called Ozzie to do all the work at our new house because we knew we could trust him to do what he said and to do an excellent job at a fair price. We first selected Ozzie from a group of potential contractors we had vetted as being the most reliable based on the Better Business Bureau reports. This was before we had convenient more comprehensive resources like Angie's list. We started with a complete kitchen remodel with custom cabinets which was $60,000. After that first remodel we knew we had found a contractor we could trust. He did what he said, when he said and he did it right. Ozzie was always reachable by phone/text/email and he was responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. And if problems occurred (remodeling always has surprises) Ozzie saw to it that things were done right and didn't add a penny to our contract price. The only thing that cost more of course was when WE made changes. Over the next few years we ended up remodeling all the bathrooms, putting new wood floors, rewiring the entire house (it had very old cloth insulated wires), a new roof, adding a bathroom including walk in closets. So when we had to move somewhat unexpectedly from our old house we knew exactly who to call. So far almost all of the planned work inside our new house has been done. The last stage is building the guest house. The plans have been drawn up and are being certified by the architect/engineer. We will be getting the permits so we can begin soon. I can update how that goes, but honestly I've already had so much work done by Ozzie that there's no doubt it will all go well. I attached a few photos, but I never seem to take photos after the remodeling. I always take photos during the remodeling, but it's the after photos that show what a space becomes. I'm going to try to find the photos of our old house after remodel photos and upload those.

Recent Review: This is long overdue (I though I'd already submitted a review, but apparently had not) but we were very pleased with the work of Shai and his team last summer (2015). This was the second project we've done with Butel, the first being when they came in to repair the work of a disastrous (non-Angie's List) contractor on our master bathroom (the review of which is later in this list). With this most recent project, we had gotten a quote from another contractor, which was a little lower than Butel's, but given the past experience with Shai, we were more comfortable that his price would be the actual price, so decided to pay a little more. Shai proved us right in that there were a number of challenges with even this small project, and despite some issues along the way (e.g., the mud didn't set right and a crack appeared in the bathroom wall perhaps 4-6 weeks after the project), Shai always went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied with the final results (e.g., with the mud crack, he had someone out the day after we called, and they came back the following day to repair/repaint - no questions asked). The only change orders were for items we required that were not originally discussed, and even in those cases, the changes were for materials, not labor, as Shai was able to absorb any additional work, such as when we talked about the type of door and window molding we wanted, which was originally going to be fairly simple, but evolved into a multi-piece craftsman style that turned out beautifully. I know it took longer to do the molding than he planned, but we had worked out the specifics and he agreed they could do it, and we couldn't be happier. The project did take longer than was originally forecast, which I would probably focus on in our next project with Butel (as I'm sure there will be a third and fourth etc. as we identify new projects) so that expectations are aligned. I would also stress communication up front and throughout the project, as there were a few hiccups that I think could have been avoided. I try not to micromanage, but in my opinion it was helpful on days when I could be home to point out things and ask questions along the way, rather than hope that the instructions provided were clear only to find out three steps later than something needed to be fixed. Bottom line, my wife and I like Shai and the team members who have worked on our projects, and we trust him and his company. We know when we start that we'll be happy when we finish, which is the majority of what I expect from any contractor.
