Huntington Beach Cracked Heat Exchanger Repair

My 26 year old central air system went out on a Thursday night.  I called Liberty Friday morning and the sales manager for Liberty came to the home the same afternoon. After discussing details, options and answering all of my questions, I accepted their contract to replace my 5 ton ac and furnace. The price was fair and all of the work was completed the very next Tuesday.  Part of the installation involved enlarging the air return space under the furnace closet.  This improvement, along with the higher efficiency AC unit should keep me smiling this summer.  They also provided a programmable thermostat and set it up so the house will always be at my preferred temperature.  I won't even have to switch between cooling and heating when the seasons change.  I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and will definitely call Liberty for any plumbing problems I might have in the future.

Timo's did a fantastic job.  They were very generous with their time in discussing and trouble shooting the problem with me.  We developed a systematic action plan for getting my AC working again at the lowest possible cost.  The technicians were very pleasant to work with, very professional and hard working.  They never stopped from the time they arrived.  They replaced both service lines and the quality of their work was excellent.  My AC works great!  Better than before!  Thanks Timo.  I'll definitely call you again to service my AC/heating unit.

When I found a leak in one of my tankless hot water heaters, I called Curtis because he works on Noritz products. He called back quickly and came over the same day to look at the problem. He ordered a new heat exchanger under warranty. After four days, the heat exchanger arrived and he sent someone over with it to install it. The installer wanted payment on the spot without presenting an invoice or warranty information. Curtis called me and pressed for payment. I told him that I would pay on an invoice that included manufacturer warranty information. A few days later I received an invoice. In the meantime, I found that the heaters were not working properly: the control panel was displaying a code for a communication error and the heaters would sometimes shut off during a shower. I called Curtis about this and he replied with a voice mail that told me what I already knew about the error and that I would have to call the manufacturer regarding the warranty. I called back asking him to fix the problem with the heaters but he did not reply. I waited a day, then diagnosed the problem, finding that a cable inside the repaired heater had not been reconnected. I also called Noritz to learn their warranty policy on the new heat exchanger. I paid the invoice even though the job had not been finished and I had to finish it.

Diagnosed cracked welds in old heat exchangers quickly. These cannot be repaired. Installed new furnace in three hours and hauled away old unit. Fine work. Oh! Best price around (depends on area to be heated)

He turned off the gas to one of the heaters and cut one of the control lines so that I finally had to have someone come out and find out why my downstairs heater was not working.  I also found out later that an energy credit could have been obtained from NV Energy if a specified company was used.

I think their Overall rate should be between B and C. The installation work from All Valley's employees was quick, good and very professional. But the unit they installed was not exact what I wanted, I told them to get me a heat exchanger with 20-year warranty. But after they installed the unit, they found out that the installed unit only has a 10-year warranty for the heat exchanger. The cooling unit was only 13.5 seer, which is not the best energy efficient unit.

Al and his team were fantastic! They were highly professional, always on time and completed the job on schedule. Al went an extra mile to fix the incorrect wiring of the existing system to bring it up to code (no extra charge), as well as adding a few brand new registers, as a courtesy at no additional cost either. He spent extra time with the tenants to walk through all installations, test both heating and cooling capacity, while educating us on an optimal use of the complex HVAC system in the house. Having been in the industry for a long time, Al is very knowledgeable in many related areas of Building and Safety - e.g. he noticed a few issues with appliances and vents that are not up to code and suggested inexpensive ways to fix those using general contractor. Overall, it was a very rewarding and educational experience and we are planning to hire this company for our future projects.

Repair persons arrived and quickly diagnosed that the capacitors were reinstalled incorrectly, cleaned the heat exchanger and performed overall system check to determine the air conditioner was operating correctly. Evolution Services were quick to respond and schedule a repair call, and notified us when the repair team would be arriving. The team was courteous, knowledgeable and professional.

In a word, excellent. Our Noritz tankless water heater stopped heating, plus we had gone 9 years without a descaling, so we had 2 tasks. I selected Stanley Plumbing because their website prominently indicated they do tankless water heaters, and are also specifically mentioned they are a Noritz installer. Don Stanley came out promptly. He cautioned me that if an old water heater that has never been descaled, and you have hard water (we do), sometimes descaling can essentially unplug an existing a leak. In other words, sometimes a tiny hole is actually plugged by the scale. I agreed and he went to work. First he fixed the "not heating" problem ? the ignitor was corroded, so he replaced it. Then, he descaled the water heater, and it did spring a small leak. Fortunately, he noticed our water heater was still under the Noritz factory warranty. He called Noriz, and they rushed out the parts the next day. (We are fairly close to the warehouse.) The parts were free under warranty, though labor was not, but his rate was reasonable. Don returned to replace the leaking heat exchanger. When he removed the old one, it was obvious there had been a slow leak for a long time ? there was a stream of corrosion running inside, right down on to the ignitor, which is why the old igniter failed in the first place. Both Stanley Plumbing and Noritz have my full endorsement. Don Stanley for his good service and reasonable prices, and Noritz for standing behind their very good product. When someday my water heater finally dies, many years from now, I expect to call Stanley Plumbing and asking them to install a new Nortiz.

Their prices were very competitive, the work was good, and I am now enjoying carbon-monoxide free heat in my home. I got a 10 year warranty on parts, 1 year on the labor, and lifetime on the heating exchanger. They also installed a main gas shut off, and hauled away the old heater.
