Huntington Beach Storm Door Installation

I was not thrilled with him. He did what was asked of him, but he left some things undone. He put the door in and put a doggie door in the door. He framed the door, but he did not replace the trim and he did a bad job on the stucco outside. The door wasn't great. I think he was a little expensive. He bought the door and we paid him for that plus labor. I wouldn't call him again.

He first came and gave me an estimate on replacing a broken back door and was right on time for the appointment. He looked the areas over I needed repaired and gave me an estimate. He told me he could get the door and screen for me or that I could get them. I told him I'd rather get them so he told me exactly what the best type to get would be and all the details. He also gave me his installation price which I felt was very fair. I went on my search for the door but had to call George several times for advice on the doors I was looking at. He was always very polite and helpful. I finally found the door and ordered it and set up the installation time and date with George to install. Again he was right on time and brought someone to help him. They worked all day removing my old door, putting in the new door and the new storm door. Everything turned out beautiful. He was always polite and very easy to talk to and would answer any questions I had. He cleaned up beautifully and the door and storm door are perfect which is amazing since this is an older home. I will for sure use him again...he's a real professional.

Our overall experience with them was very good.  The price was reasonable.  The job overall went fine.  Nothing specific stood out about them but their service and professionalism was fine.  I would tell others they were good.

Generally, we were pleased with Lowe's courtesy and follow up. However, we felt that they failed to "go the extra mile" to help us with a small detail needed. The installer they sent, a young man named Everett Ellis from SouthWest Screens and Windows in Winnetka, CA, was first rate.

It went absolutely fantastic. Jesse was friendly, the ultimate professional and worked very efficiently. He had the knowledge and skills to correct the issues we needed repaired. He fit us in his schedule for the day, and even went to purchase the correct nails for the storm door. His craftsmanship is excellent. We will not hesitate to hire Camargo Handyman Services many, many times more.

It went great.. Was on time..worked non stop and got the complete job done. It was a challenge as he had to remove the old frame also, but he was pleasant the whole time and did an excellent job. My family and friends love the job he did and would for sure use him again. The door and storm door work great..and we love them both. Thanks George!!

Miles squeezed me in to get several jobs done that were irking me--you know those little things you can't fix yourself and worry you will make it worse. This totally relieved me of those stressors. He and his assistant were professional and extremely helpful, and courteous. I will call Handy Hands again because they are really handy.

He installed a screen door and storm door, which he did a good job on. He installed a rolling shade blind but he hung it over the window instead of inside the frame. He damaged the ceiling when installing a fan and did not come close to finishing all of the jobs I requested. It's been two weeks and he is still blowing me off. I want him to fix the ceiling and ceiling fan.

They actually arrived a few minutes early!  And, after discussing the projects and the order in which I wanted them done, they went to work.  Because my front door is a somewhat unusual size, the person who had installed the original door did a creative and problematic installation with the latch unit in the wrong place.  Tony removed the entire frame area and did an excellent job of installing the door and reframing so that the door opens and closes perfectly  and easily!  He took the same approach with my closet - "it must be done properly."  I have a lot of clothes and needed the closet to be mostly double-hung, with about 20 inches at one end for hanging robes, etc..  Because I did not tell him in advance about the double hanging, Tony had to send his son to the HD to get lumber on which the rods and hangers would be (securely) installed.    He even put a vertical board at the end of the partial rod - for practical and aesthetic reasons.   And, he made the distance between the rods and shelves just perfect, so I can get as many clothes and shoes in the closet as possible.  His son did an equally excellent job of replacing the lights and of fixing the leaning umbrellas.  One of the lights had to be moved slightly to the right because the new light's base would not fit the former opening.  Tony is a perfectionist and finds creative and practical solutions to problems.  And, his son is learning to imitate his father's quality of work.  They were both very personable and accommodating, and actually ate their lunch while working.   I do not think you could find better craftsmen.  Tony will be returning soon to do the rest of the things on my very long list.   You should also know that Tony communicated with me via email about the projects so that he would bring the appropriated tools.

Mark picked up the storm door at Lowe's for me -- I had ordered it 3 weeks prior. and had it held for him to pick up the morning of my appointment  However, upon beginning to install the door, he said it was missing parts, the side frame piece wasn't the correct size, etc.  I chose to not have him try and install the door but to return it.  Mark generously offered to take it back to Lowe's for me, and there was no additional charge for this.  He also waited with the manager at the store while they called me regarding some confusion on which account was to be debited, etc.  He called me and wanted to make sure that I knew what was going on at that end.  I feel he went above and beyond what would be expected!! He went through the other installs at my home systematically and without any issues. Mark is extremely personable, but he is also very professional and puts your job as his top priority.  He wasted no time going through my list.   I am THRILLED to know that if I need anything else done in the future I now have a qualified, thorough, honest and trustworthy person to handle the work.  I would recommend him highly to anyone for any type of home repair or construction.
