Recent Review: My wife and I were looking to add a gas log set for our fireplace. We shopped at another place, who told us we absolutely needed a gas lighter for the log set. When we checked out Morrill & Forbes, they not only did not try to sell us the gas lighter (which we really didn't need), but they also had some good advice for us on the style of logs to buy. We purchased the log set they recommended and could not be happier. We also had them replace the fireplace screens at the same time they installed the gas logs, and they did a terrific job with the screens as well. My only complaint is that we had to hire a plumber to remove the old gas log lighter. I do wish they had been able to perform that part of the job as well.

Recent Review: Maintenance was done the day we scheduled. No issues found. Additional freon was added to the compressor. My two fixes were looked at and parts were needed. They were ordered, but had to come back and install them when received which was about 2 weeks later. Everything worked once new parts installed. Had to pay for the extra parts, collars were $100 and the fireplace igniter was $500. The onsite technician did an excellent job. Maintenance work was done quickly and professionally. Diagnosing other problems was a bit more difficult, had to go under house to see detached ducts and figure out fireplace problem, but was able to fix everything needed. Fireplace igniter box was the major cost item ($500) in this service. Overall price was a good value.
Recent Review: They did an excellent job, and at the best price we could find in our county for the particular insert we wanted (Napoleon). Over 25 years agao, Forden's also installed two free-standing, wood-burning fireplaces, and a wood-burning fireplace inset, in our home, and all three are still working great. We highly recommend Ferden's for any type of fireplace
Recent Review: John went above and beyond the task at hand. He is professional, courteous, attentive, reliable and knowledgeable. He did an incredible job and put a personal touch at the task at hand. He pressure washed and stained our back deck, he also went above and beyond by pressure washing our picnic table and back door entrance. He also painted/touched up our deck lights and fireplace and it made the whole back deck look brand new. He is a gem and we highly recommend this good find.
Invited them out to check and clean the 3 fireplaces, it had been years and we had trouble with smoking from one. After inspection, Lucky Sully determined only 1 needed and cleaning and the smoking was due to fireplace design (2 sided). We decided to install gas logs and the fire on ice in the unusual and small fireplaces, leaving the large one for wood. In spite of our late request and ordering the fire on ice during the visit, they had all work done and installed prior to Christmas! And the routine maintenance prices were outstanding. Thank you.

First of all Butch was very understanding of the difficulty we had living in a home that was gutted by a fire. Fortunately we had our Master Bedroom and bath and kitchen. We lived in the house while he worked. He took the time to explain what he was doing. He answered questions at the drop of the hat. As my wife says, "Butch was the conductor of an entire orchestra," as he coordinated the subs and trade work here. Butch had a challenge to separate the kitchen from the open beamed ceiling and he pulled that off and kept the mess out of the kitchen. At the end of every work day he cleaned up so there was nothing to trip over. Butch?s work ethic is as good as anything I?ve seen. There was a corner piece on a moulding near the ceiling, he was up and down the ladder constantly sanding and checking the fit until it was perfect. My wife says, ?Butch is basically a perfectionist."

Max Baggett came highly recommended to us by family friends who had remodeling/addition projects completed by Max and his company Baggett Construction Services. After seeing both homes, we contacted Max to do our kitchen/great room remodel and our bathroom remodel. Max was very thorough in explaining his bid and answering any questions that we had throughout the project. He was great at returning calls if we weren't able to reach him the first time. Plastic sheets were hung to minimize the dust to the other parts of the house. The work area was picked up and swept at the end of each day. Max offered suggestions and his expertise when we needed to make decisions. Max made the remodeling experience a pleasant one!

Max Baggett is a great guy to work with, friendly and accommodating. He always got back to me in a timely manner when I called and explained clearly what he was going to do so I knew exactly what was going to happen. He's not inexpensive but he tries to keep cost down as much as possible while still giving you good quality work. I expect the workmanship will last many, many years. He and his crew did a first rate job in upgrading my 1950's home. He gave excellent advice and if he wasn't sure on some decorating point he admitted it. The kitchen hadn't had any work done on it since the 1960's. The first job I had done was the 3/4 wall height paneling I had installed in the kitchen eating area. It looks like something from a craftsman house. It instantly added interest in the kitchen. The next thing was replacing the formica counters in the kitchen with silestone. I also had a tumbled marble back splash put in at the same time to match the silestone counters. I am very happy with the results. After that was remodeling the bathroom, also from the early 1960's. It was gutted. When replacing some walls it was found to have extensive termite damage, almost all the wood had been eaten where the bathroom window was. The only thing holding it up was the outside of the house! Max took me personally to pick out the bathroom sink stone top at a small stone yard so I didn't need to buy a huge piece, I appreciated that a lot. So I saved money there. His talented work crew did a bang up job installing the tile in the room. The next to the last job done was evening and replacing all the floors in the house. The kitchen floor wasn't the same height as the adjoining floors and people would trip going in or out of the kitchen. That was fixed. The carpet in the living room and bedrooms was over 40 years old and was replaced with a dark hardwood floor including the hallway. New carpeting was installed in the bedrooms. Crown molding was installed throughout the house. The crown molding looks especially outstanding in the hallway. The last thing done was installing a gas insert and covering the original brick fireplace with green marble. I kept the original wood mantel. The fireplace is a fantastic focal point of the room now. If I should need any more work done I would definitely have Max do the work as it is top quality.
