Recent Review: Bellows did an outstanding job! This was a two day job and they were very courteous and professional throughout. They took great care to explain exactly what was going on. They also went out of their way to ensure the additional pipes and venting required would not be unsightly (even in the garage!) and that it looked good from the outside as well. They dealt with the Scotts Valley planning department for the permit work and were on site when the inspector arrived. And to top it all off, Bellows left my garage looking cleaner than when they arrived! I was very impressed with their work and will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Recent Review: I called OCG Plumbing on Tuesday morning at 7am. I recived his voicemail on his cell phone. I left a message...Then 10 minutes later he called me back. Oscar told me that he could take a look at the water heater at 10am. He arrived on time to take a look at the heater. He told me that it would be no more than $1000.00 for the water heater. He removed the old water heater that was in a basement and recycled it in Marina. He installed a new gas line, vent, water heater pan, drain, and earthquake straps. Oscar and his helper where at the job for only 3 hours each. When I recieved the bill it was $918.00. I would use them again.

Recent Review: Richard of R&S Heating and Sheet Metal was the fourth contractor to quote the job of replacing an old 1950's furnace with a current energy efficient model. The price was midline to slightly higher than the other contractors. But what set R&S apart was their willingness to install the type of furnace requested where I wanted it installed - the old furnace had been installed in the only hall closet of the entire house and I needed that closet back! So while there never was an attic before this project, now there is an attic. I gained an energy efficient heater, an attic with access stairs & light as well as a hall closet. Well worth the money spent. The men who actually performed the work at the house were nice people, laid down work cloths to prevent damage and cleaned up after completing work each day. Not white glove clean, mind you. But still, the effort was made each day & I was appreciative. Well rounded in respect to construction, the majority of the old furnace was removed on Day 1 while the attic stairs went in and a new electric line for a light was installed in the this new attic on Day 2. Day 3 started with 3/4 inch particle board being nailed onto the rafters. This was then used as the major work surface & the new furnace with insulated ducting was installed. Day 4 was about running the gas line to the furnace, finding a path for the condensation line and finishing the walls with sheet rock & tape along with general final touches. My comfort level with this team was high enough that I was willing to leave the house and dogs while the team was working on Day 3. This is a testimony to my belief that my house, possessions and "children" were in safe hands. It's been 8 months since the installation and my heating bills did not go up - even though I was heating more than twice the space than the old heater. That's the new energy efficiency for you. But it was the installation in the attic that has continued giving back in ways that I couldn't have imagined when I made my request. I highly recommend R&S Heating for being willing to listen & work with their clients and for professionalism with a good honest team.

They were great and also answered our calls right away.  They were honest with us; I thought they gave us a fair price.  They showed up when they were supposed to and they were very clean about their work.  They seemed to do a good job and cleaned up afterwards.  However, they are a little pricey.

I needed to correct a code violation on an older home we just purchased. Removing the tank heater and installing the tankless was the best solution for the property and resolved the code violation issues. Linarus determined that the tankless unit needed for the our water usage and that a higher-volume gas line was necessary to have it operate as needed. He did his homework and even admitted that he'd never installed one before. Lisle purchased an excellent make/model and had it installed along with the necessary recirc pump and return under our house with difficult crawl access on the day he said it would be done. He came back a week later to make sure things were still working properly. Excellent price and clean, good-looking installation.

ABig Angelo's Plumbing & Heating
My water heater and furnace are installed in a closet in my family room (former garage).  While sitting at my computer in the family room, I started hearing a fast drip drip drip so went to investigate.  Discovered the 19 year old water heater was apparently leaking from the bottom - some water standing in the sheet metal tray it was installed in (thank goodness, or the water would've run out the closet and all over the slab floor of the family room!) so I shut off the main water to the house, shut off the pilot light to the water heater, attached a hose to the outlet on the water heater, and started it draining.  I did NOT know at that time that the sheet metal tray actually had a small drain hole in it, which apparently goes under the house and into an adjacent sink's drain pipe. As soon as I was satisfied that I wasn't going to get water damage, I called Big Angelo's Plumbing, and Joe answered.  Last time he was here was in January of this year.  I told him who I was and he immediately said, "Oh, I remember you!  You live on xxxx Road, right?"  WOW!  That's impressive. I told him that was correct, and he asked me what kind of problem I was having, and how could he help me?  I explained and he said he could have someone over within the hour. Sure enough, Lewis arrived just short of an hour later.  He was very courteous and promptly confirmed that the water heater was DOA,  and we had a discussion re:  tankless vs. traditional.  Due to the additional cost of the tankless, I went with the traditional, and  he called Joe at the office to bring a new one out.  He also recommended replacing a couple of the valves that service the water heater, as well as the gas line, which had a very small inlet valve.  While we waited for Joe's arrival, he noted the furnace and asked how it was working?  I said it was fine, but we hadn't had it serviced in 2 years - he said he was really a "heater guy" and he could do it while we waited if I wanted him to.  I readily agreed - heck, two birds with one stone!  He gave the furnace a thorough going over, adjusted the burners for optimum performance, and told me it was good to go for another couple years. When Joe arrived, they both worked to complete the removal of the old water heater and installation of the new one.  They obviously are both VERY good at what they do, knowledgeable, and work without hesitation or head-scratching (and I've seen a lot of THAT from other plumbers, but that's another story!) - soon the job was completed, the water turned back on, the pipes all bled of air, and me, a happy camper again!  It was about 1:30 when they left here - so from phone call to completed installation of a new water heater, around 3 hours.  AMAZING!  I figured we'd be without hot water til sometime today! I have recommended Big Angelo's to many people and those who have tried Joe and his company have all been pleased.  Keep up the good work, Joe, you know how to keep the customer happy while providing quality work!    AND Lewis was fantastic!  ANY time I need plumbing or heating work done, or hear of anyone who does, you can bet I'll be thinking of Big Angelo's.
