Recent Review: Advanced remodeling & construction did my master bathroom completed recently. The remodeling contained the removal of the old shower, vanities and toilet and install new bathtub, new shower, double vanity, build-in storage shelving, new light and new paint. During the remodeling, the working crew and the office staff were very pleasant, experienced and hard-working people that really care to do a perfect job and without any mistakes. I’m truly enjoying the new master bathroom and I love it very much. During the remodeling, I decided to also remodel the second bathroom at my house. The outcome of the 2 bathrooms is excellent and the whole involvement of myself with them was very good and productive. Their prices were also very competitive and fair (compared to other estimates that I got from other companies). I would recommend and referred advanced remodeling & construction with no hesitations.

Recent Review: DAG (Daniel) was not our first choice originally, but he was our favorite out of the 3 because he sounded very honest, professional and knowledgeable. The reason he wasn't our first choice was because the finish date he quoted us was the longest among the 3. So we decided to choose the one with the earliest finish date with low cost. However, after we met with our first choice, we found out the first choice was very pushy, non flexible and most important, he may need longer time to finish the job than he originally quoted us. So if it will take longer to remodel than we thought, we decided to go with DAG, our favorite guy among all 3. Once we decided to go with DAG, Dan started with the work. The demo started in Mid/Apr-2011 and the estimated finish date was around Mid-End/July-2011. During the time, there were changes here and there plus I added more work (for eg., replace all interior doors and entrance door), we moved in around Mid/Oct. During the demo, my husband and I started to decide what kind of style we wanted for our bathrooms and kitchen. But because both of us had no experience on designing and remodeling, so we couldn't decide on the materials. Dan went to the vendor with us so he could see the tiles in person. I described what kind of feeling I wanted and somehow, he was able to understand what I meant. Our guest bathroom was small so our shower cannot be too big. I do not like any continuous tiles smaller than 2and rdquo;x2and rdquo; so the design for the shower floor was a problem for me. Dan suggested a very good idea which is to have a border of 2and rdquo;x8and rdquo; tiles around the 2and rdquo;x2and rdquo; tiles so it won't look too mosaic like. Another thing is the vendor said it will take about 60 days for them to ship the 8and rdquo;x8and rdquo; tiles, they only have 8x16and rdquo; in stock, and Dan said he could have his tile guy to cut the 8and rdquo;x16and rdquo; into 8and rdquo;x8and rdquo;. I checked and the edge looked exactly like the original cuts (at no extra charge). As for the master bathroom, we wanted marble for the shower, floor and countertop, so Dan also met us at the marble slab place and gave us advise. As for the kitchen, Dan also referred us to another tile store and that place is absolutely wonderful. They have free designing service so Dan didn't go with us. Both bathrooms and kitchen came out more beautiful than I would have imagined. A lot of people tend to spend a lot of money on brand names and good quality materials but use cheap contractors to save money, but I think that is totally incorrect because good material needs good people (people who know what they are doing) to put them together. One thing I forgot to mention is his carpentry guy and ndash; Antonio, he did most of the bathroom vanity and kitchen cabinets for us. I had certain styles for my vanity and closet so I sketched out what I wanted and amazingly, everything look exactly the same as my drawings. And Gabriel, he's like the advisor (a shy guy), he is good at everything and he's very responsible. Both Antonio's and Gabriel's work were very professional. As for our molding, half of them had a old style look and half had a modern look, so I had Dan to take out all base and crown molding so the house can look unified. In the beginning, they had misunderstood what I wanted but they immediately took it down right after they saw my face. Dan quickly grabbed the molding book from his car and had me pointed out what I want. With lots of patience and listening, they were able to make the style I wanted. I felt bad in the beginning but became comfortable because they never push me to make any decision right away so they can finish their job. Dan even told me and ldquo;it's ok, we are suppose to do make the house to what you want.and rdquo; Dan taught them not to only do a job, but also act like an artist, paint and step back to take a look if it looks good. I can tell they really like what they are doing. For the new windows we ordered, it was raw with nothing on it. One day I came to the site and saw 4-5 men standing around the window, so I took a closer look, they were cutting small pieces of wood from the frame and rubbing the pieces away. I asked Dan what are they doing, he said they need to cut and clean the frame so when he prime/paint it, the frame will have a clean look. My husband and I were like and ldquo;WOWand rdquo;!! Seriously, with our knowledge, any contractor would have cut the corner and paint the frame/window without these extra steps and we would not have known or realized. We ordered 12 windows and each window have 6 panels in it. That's one of the reason why his time frame is longer. Even though if there was some delay, it was worth the wait. And lots of time, Dan will explain the procedure of their work, in the language I understand, not the language of contractor. For eg., he'll explain the procedure of hot mopping, how the doors are made from scratch, how Antonio will cut the vanity, the procedure of sanding the floor and putting new floor, the procedure of installing the tiles in the bathroom and kitchen, etcand hellip; So whatever they were doing, I know exactly what they are doing. I heard from families and friend that their contractor just do stuff without telling them how and why, and really don't know if they cut the corner. I am sure Dan didn't cut the corner on ours. And plus, he really gave us a lecture and ldquo;Restoration 101and rdquo;. I heard many bad stories from remodeling but I had a really good experience with Dan. I had fun and learned a lot from him. I'll say if you have time and if you have no experience and knowledge on remodeling at all, you can trust Dan. Dan is honest and flexible to changes. In case you made some bad decisions, Dan will actually let you know and pull you back to the right track. Lots of contractor will do whatever you tell them to do since to them, this is just a job, but to Dan, this is his art. He really treated my house like his own house. He really cared about his work. His mentality differs from other contractors. When our relatives and friends came to see our completed house, everyone of them were amazed by Dan's work. We are so glad that we chose him to be our contractor at the end. The only problem is that sometimes, Dan gets really busy, so it may take him longer to quote you. However, it is definitely worth the wait. Great Workmanship! Highly recommended.

Jamie was great to work with - always punctual and it was obvious he was passionate about his work. He even went above and beyond to get me a discount on tile and picked it up for me. Using him for my guest bathroom!

APreferred Home Builders Inc
Working with Preferred Home Builders was a dream from start to finish. From the proposal and design phase with Aviv, to the support from the home office (Daisy) and the on-site supervisor (Johnny), everything was seamless. On-time, on budget, clean, professional, etc. All of the workers were great. I give a solid 5 stars and will definitely use them in the future and will recommend to friends and family.

AMH Rueda Construction
When my wife and I began looking for a contractor to remodel our house we were really nervous. We?d heard many remodeling horror stories and were worried we could end up with the same fate. We needn?t have worried. We found MH Rueda Construction through a co-worker whose husband had worked with them in the past. We had interviewed a number of companies who all had similar estimates but picked MH Rueda Construction because we felt most comfortable with Mike Rueda, the owner. He was the most responsive to our many questions. Throughout the entire process you work only with Mike. There are no sub-contractors or inspectors to deal with ? Mike does that for you. We found all the people he hired to be top-notch and professional and they had all worked with him for many years. One of the things we really appreciated was the daily update Mike provided. Even when there wasn?t much new to report he still called with almost daily updates to let us know what was on the upcoming schedule. There were four areas we were concerned with when planning our remodel: ? Quality ? we were very happy with the quality of the work performed. ? Cost ? came in on budget ? in some areas we actually came in under budget. ? Timeliness ? the job was completed on time (except when we changed our minds on something or added more work. Mike just rolled with the changes.) ? Honesty of the contractor ? Mike is very honest and supplies invoices as the job progresses showing every dollar spent. As you can see we felt more than satisfied in all four areas. The remodeling process is inherently stressful but with Mike the stress was kept at a minimum and we highly recommend him.

APreferred Home Builders Inc
It went so much better then I expected, because I had heard some horror stories of other companies. I found the experience fairly enjoyable.  My project manager was so great at helping me with the design, colors and made suggestions on where to shop.  He was with me every step of the way and was here often to check on the work and to make sure I was happy.  The office called me to let me know what to expect at different times and sent me a weekly schedule.  My phone calls were always answered in a timely manner.  All the workers that were here were clean, polite and friendly.  Every night before the workers left they cleaned up and hauled off any and all trash.  Preferred Home Builders will be the call I make when I'm ready for my next remodel.

ADo It Right Remodeling
We were impressed with Do It Right's Aviran Bar-Lev's initial presentation and proposal after obtaining two other quotes from contractors. I called ten different contractors in our area and only three even agreed to come and give us an estimate. Aviran provided us with 3-D renderings of our new bathroom so we could see exactly what it would look like. The project consisted of a tub to shower conversion, extensive tile work, reface existing 8-ft vanity, new quartz countertop, flooring, paint, new sinks and faucets, new toilet, lighting, additional electrical outlets, two new ceiling vents, new medicine cabinet, new towel bars. Project got under way on Feb. 12th with demo. All the workers through all phases of the remodel were friendly and skilled in their trade. We had a hitch with the flooring because the old linoleum floor was solidly glued down and couldn't be removed. It was decided to remove the cement floor to the wood sub-floor and re-pour concrete. This delayed the job by about a week. Then we went on vacation and didn't want work to continue while we were away. Aviran and the folks from Arizona Tile in San Juan Capistrano helped us choose fabulous flooring and tile that perfectly complemented the Cambria quartz we just had to have. The tile work is exquisite! Aviran was available to answer all my questions and resolve any issues we had. The project finished on Apr. 30th. We are thrilled with our new bathroom and have recommended Do It Right to our family and friends.

ASupreme Remodeling Inc
Supreme Remodeling was called to give an estimate on remodeling our master bathroom. They were prompt in giving us a fair market estimate. We decided to go with them based on their estimate, professionalism, and knowledge of the scope of the project and what we were trying to achieve. When the initial team started to demolish the old bathroom, they took extreme care to keep our home free from unnecessary dust and debris and hired the appropriate personnel to complete masterful work. All of their teams were punctual and went beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the job done. They kept us abreast of the project step by step and answered any questions that we had during the project. The project was completed on time and I will use them again and refer them to my friends and colleagues. We ended up with a beautiful master bathroom and will utilize them for the second bathroom and a few other projects that we are considering completing within the future.

AB.W. Tile and Sons Inc.
Brian and his team were excellent and professional. They always cleaned up after the day is done and finished the remodel ahead of time. The marble in the shower and the new vanity along with other updates really made this bathroom complete. Great job and we will be calling soon for a future project.

AKitchens Etc of Ventura County
Great experience with Kitchens Etc. of Simi Valley on our master bathroom renovation. All marks are high with the exception of the price...but only because this type of work is always costly. We had several estimates from other companies and Kitchens Etc. was somewhere in the middle. What sealed the deal for us was the initial impression we got from owner Michelle Oldenkamp and her daughter Danielle: experienced, informative, friendly, and flexible. Our hunch proved right. Some designers want to take over all the details to execute their own vision; we got a look that was exactly what we hoped for. Michelle handled all the design issues (including spending lots of time designing the layout of a patterned tile to avoid undesirable cuts, making sure the mirrors and sconces we really wanted would fit, and even online searching for the perfect vanity chair —a task we had not asked her to do) and Danielle was super great with her design input and at checking in with us almost daily with texts (our request). Her promptness in responding to questions was awesome and so appreciated. Both visited often. The entire crew was super professional...including Chris, Chris T, Hector and Jose...so much so, that we actually felt comfortable leaving them alone in our home for periods of time. That's something we’ve NEVER done before. The work took two weeks longer than quoted (8 instead of 6) but we give that an A grade as well, given the outcome of the work and because we were partly to blame (a couple of times we had to ask that work be postponed for a day or two so that we could deal with our busy family). We highly recommend working with this company.
