We learned that our son had severe asthma and ripped out all our old carpet. It was an expense we didn't expect nor planned for but you do what you have to! I had read reviews on Angie's list and, having been through a bad experience with an electrical service, was a little skeptical. But Doug was fantastic. He explained everything and prepared me for possible work that needed to be done to fix water damage upstairs. He brought over tons of samples of flooring that would work for our situation, then suggested I buy online to help me with the cost rather than go through him. He had no problem when we asked if we could spread out the work so that we could save up a bit at a time and was so gracious about the situation. And I know it's an odd thing, but there's something so reassuring about the owner of the company doing the actual work with his associate. When he discovered a pretty big leveling issue, he was very up front and even worked with his suppliers to drop the cost a bit. Doug is not the local hardware superstore installation - I'm in the service business, too, and I know that you indeed need to spend a little more to get quality, attention to detail and excellent service. This was our home and my son's health and we weren't about to "cheap out" for $99 installation deals. We wanted a pro. And as far as I'm concerned, Doug Biagi and San Jose Floor Coverings was that and more.
