Recent Review: We asked for bids from 5 companies for a 5,000 square foot roof with a 10/12 pitch. Based on a long discussion with several roofers, we decided to go with a metal roof (which was $4,000 more than the composite),. We selected metal because it has a lifetime warrently and is more attractive than composite. Several roofers said they did not do metal, so we narrowed to three companies. Cal Vintage walked us through (inch by inch) the materials and the process that they would use, and what they said they were going to do is what they did -- professionally, efficiently, on-time, and with attention to detail and quality. As I am retired and have remodeled 3 homes in my live, I watched each step. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They used a subcontractor for old roof removal, and they were incredible -- no damage to trees or home walls. For the roof installation, they used the materials / process that they described before the job. I checked each product / material they used, and it was exactly what they said and showed us in their showroom that is was going to be. When I requested some relatively minor changes / adjustments, they immediately made those changes. I would give the gutter installation a B+ -- not bad.
