Reviews in Clayton for Installing Electrical Switches
It went very well. Seth from switched electric made his time very flexible. He came out, showed me what was wrong, left some notes in the invoice I could use to get reimbursed from my building, and taught me a thing or two while he was at it. He was very friendly and easy to work with.

FBMH Electric LLC
My experience? Dimmers installed upside down Nook lighting installed illegally Fiber optic ceiling stars to be installed randomly installed in straight lines on one end of the room, destroying the entire effect Hole in the wall for a new outlet that was too big, leaving a huge space after the plate was installed 4-gang light switch put in the wall for a remote system that never would have worked the way he configured it Lights used for washes that are nothing more than hot spots on the wall The list goes on Leaves the job when the rough work was done until the walls were completed. Since I hadn't realized yet how badly he had botched the job, I called him to tell him to advise all was ready for his final install of fixtures, etc. He went on and on about his personal problems with me as the customer and refused to return, citing nonsensical issues not even close to reality. Confused at the illogical behavior and remarks, I hired another electrician to complete the project and the truth comes out. He never could have finished the job properly; it was impossible with the errors he had made in the wiring and the gang box. So there I sat with my walls now plastered and glazed with a gang box cut into the wall that would never accommodate the needed remote system. The icing on the cake is this man's temper that can only be described as a "loose canon." You walk on egg shells around him. If he doesn't like something you tell him on the phone (like, for instance, would it be possible to get a cord cover in a different color than the one he selected himself?), he'll say, "I'm gritting my teeth right now"! It was his consistent answer when he didn't want to do something. I know I'm old fashioned, but do people really treat customers that way now as a general rule?? It was simply unbelievable. If that weren't bad enough, I called the City myself for the inspection and HE NEVER PULLED THE PERMIT!! And when he responds to this review with his continued dishonesty, you might want to consider this as well: He put $600 for the permit and city fees in his bid -- not only did he never even obtain the permit, but all permit and city fees were only $151.50! "21 years of experience"?? "Award winning"?? This man did so much damage to me and my home that, if I ever hear from him again or even see a response to this review on Angie's list from him, I will file a complaint with the contractor's board as well. Amazing experience.

ACosentino’s All About Home Repairs
I called Alberto at the last minute to come fix the leaky toilet. He was available and came out right away. While he was here, he fixed a granite tile that had come off of my counter and also a light switch that was faulty and hung a light fixture in the dining room. He arrived when he told me he would, and cleaned up after he had completed the work.

BCLIF WALKER ELECTRICIAN
Clif is very pleasant to deal with. Twice before coming out, he called to alert me to his having to be under-a-half-hour late. . He said he couldn't get to me for three weeks, but then, when I called to set an appointment, was able to come the next day. We were impressed by his honesty: he could have sold us on installing a second outlet, but instead helped us problem solve a less expensive solution. He replaced the light switches quickly and well, and cleaned up afterwards. In regards to the outdoor lighting situation, he suggested a nice looking fixture that would not spotlight people and give more light to the steps. Again, he could have sold me on extending the current electric lines down to the bottom of the stairway outside. When he installed the new fixtures, he said he hoped it would accomplish what we wanted. It does. He gave us a senior discount without our asking, which we appreciated. On his 1st visit, he went off to look for the fixtures for the outside and was gone for an hour. He couldn't find what he thought would work. He came back with a picture of what he was thinking of and we approved. He said he'd be back to install the lights in and quot;a couple of weeksand quot;. We didn't hear from him, so I called after three weeks. He said he had received the fixtures three days after last seeing us. We wondered why he said that and if he'd had the lights, why he hadn't contacted us, but we didn't ask him and he didn't tell us. Then he came out the next day and installed them.

CQuick Electric Service
GET AN ESTIMATE FIRST!! Two Quick Electric Service technicians arrived on time to my three bedroom 1974 house to replace up to 25 electric outlets for $400 as per an Angie's List Deal I had purchased. I asked them to expand the service to replace all outlets, electric switches and cable outlet covers to achieve a uniform look (about 57 new fixtures). In retrospect I should have asked for a new estimate. They made time for the expanded job, were courteous and did good work. It took about 5 or 6 hours. However, when the time came to pay the bill, the total cost (after I negotiated them down) was $2500 (including the amount already paid for the Angie's List deal). In retrospect I feel the price was unfairly high and that they took advantage of my relative lack of experience dealing with contractors (I learned a lesson to always negotiate the price up front). The workmanship was fine. I have no complaints about the wiring and gave them a B only because one of the cable outlet covers is not flush against the wall (they should probably have punched a hole in the wall and inserted an electric outlet box to which the cover could be secured).

Excellent. He came on a Sunday as my light switch was stuck ON, was on time and replaced the switch quickly. The price was $50 less than others had estimated.

AValley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar
We have 3 outside lights, but only one on a convenient switch. We needed rewiring to connect all 3 to the same switch. Arrived punctually. very organized. Did the work, cleaned up afterward. He had with him the additional parts needed., so no time was lost for him go out and buy the parts at the store. Very happy with the outcome.
Recent Review: Very easy to work with, friendly, courteous. Julio has a general contractor license and has a wide range of experience and knowledge in home repairs. When I learned this, i went beyond asking for simple handyman tasks to asking him to do a significant remodel job - the closet extension. He had to tear down the existing wall, rebuild it, add drywall, replace crown moldings and baseboards, add recessed lighting, paint the walls, install a pocket door, repair the carpets. It looked complicated to me and he did a fantastic job! Furthermore, it was done with permits, so there was a city inspector checking on his work. He was on time and cleaned-up each day. He finished earlier than estimated and the cost was in keeping with the original bid, plus changes that i asked for along the way.
Business Description: Local individual providing Handyman+ services in the Tri-Valley- (Alamo, Blackhawk, Clayton, Danville, Dublin, San Ramon, Pleasanton) areas (zip codes 94506, 94507, 94517, 94526, 94582, 94583, 94588, 94568) at fair prices with quality service and 100% customer satisification!
