Recent Review: They are expensive.  But, they are good at what they do.  The service person was really honest and fair.  It was expensive and he told me to research a new stove before repairing the stove.  The part was the expensive.  I do not know if they add to the price of the part . . . but I needed it done (guest coming and needed a working oven) and they got it done.

Recent Review: The stove had been broken for a year or more.  Lots of wiring needed to be redone and several parts were required.  They came three times to complete the job, no charge for the extra visits.  Super employees, great attitudes.  They win my appliance repair business.

Recent Review: I bought a new stove on a hardware store and they did not give instructions that I needed to have a valve on my gas line and I just assume which is the worst thing to do, that they would take care of that and they will install it, but they stand there and look at me and said that they don't do that. So my husband called Alan Laird Plumbing and asked them if they would be able to come over and installed that valve, they came over and installed it, they took care of everything, very good service.

Recent Review: The office staff who scheduled our appointment was courteous and helpfully explained their service procedures.  We had to reschedule the initial appointment due to a delay in the parts that had been ordered but, they monitored the parts arrival and called when the parts arrived.  Appointment was scheduled within two days. Our technician, Jeremy, was personable and professional.  He worked efficiently and included time to explain the repair along with possible causes.  Parts were brought to the site (instead of making the initial call and then ordering parts) demonstrating knowledgeability of the product and that appropriate research on the issue had been done prior to our service call.  We will consider using their service should it be needed in the future or with other appliances.

Recent Review: The repair man came to my house twice.  Once to diagnose the problem and then to fix it.  He was on time, informative, friendly, clean and did the job very efficiently.  He also cleaned up after the job was done.  The office was also informative, friendly, efficient in their scheduling and keeping me informed about the parts and their cost.  It cost me far less than a new stove and they offer a senior discount which always helps.  The cost was as estimated.  I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

FJeff & Sons Appliance Repair
The stove in our rental unit was not working, so we looked on Angie's List and found Jeff & Sons.  I spoke to David and scheduled an appointment.  David went out and found that the igniter was bad and gave us a price of $185 to fix it.  We agreed to his price. He also said his company offered a 5 year warranty.  Once the repair was complete David sent me an invoice.  However, the "5 year warranty" info was crossed out and 1 year was written in.  When I asked David why this was, he said he didn't realize it--that it was an old invoice from another job.  When I asked that he resend the invoice with correct 5 year warranty info., he said it wasn't necessary, and that the company would honor the 5 year warranty.  When I refused to pay him unless he resent corrected invoice., he accused me of not trusting him and being unfair.  Finally he agreed to resend invoice with 5 year warranty clearly stated.  After numerous delays (he couldn't get to a fax machine, he faxed it but I never got it, etc.)  I finally got the new invoice--it still had 5 year warranty crossed out and 1 year written in.  By this time, I decided to just pay him to avoid any more back-and-forth, thinking to myself, "at least the stove is fixed" so I thought.  My tenant later called me and said the stove had stopped working again.  I've called Jeff & Sons several times, left messages, etc.  Finally, I received a callback from David and we scheduled him to go back and repair the stove.  On the day of the appointment, not only did he not show, he didn't call to let anyone know.  After more phone calls, I finally got a text from him saying he had problems with his truck and his phone wasn't working. He asked me to retext the address info (that I had just texted him a few days ago) and he would reschedule.  Well, I sent the info and haven't heard back from him.  I also called both his cell and the office number, and no one answers.  And the stove still doesn't work. This is one of the worse experiences I've had with a business.
