Recent Review: Olive Mill is a custom fabricator of natural stone and solid surface countertops. This is a family run business from the design help in the showroom, the estimates through the installations. They represent all the major brands so you have a staggering amount of choices in all price ranges. Valerie has a great eye for colors and patterns and believe me, I need a lot of help. The completion and installation schedule is posted in the showroom, so you know exactly when you will have your countertops, based on the day you place the order. They are very clear in how the process works, describing in detail what they do and what you as the customer have to do and when.
Recent Review: COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE. WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE MATERIAL, BUT IT WAS THE SUPPLIERS PROBLEM NOT THEIRS, WHICH WAS QUICKLY RESOLVED. THE COUNTEROPS WERE INSTALL MUCH EASIER AND QUICKER THAN I EXPECTED. EVERYONE IN THE BUSINESS WAS COURTEOUS, WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ACCOMADATE ANY OF MY QUESTIONS I HAD, AND WERE VERY EFFICIENT. PLUS THEY LEFT MY PLACE CLEANER THAN WHEN THE PROJECT WAS STARTED !. I HAD COUNTEROPS INSTALLED IN SEVERAL OF MY PLACES OVER THE YEARS. STONESMITH WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE ENCOUNTERED AND I WOULD VERY HIGHY RECOMMEND STONESMITH TO ANYONE. IN THEIR SERVICE AREA .
Recent Review: They were $200 more expensive than the other contractor. They were the higher bidder but they agreed to allow us to see the slabs before they fabricated the countertops. We did have an opportunity to go see the slabs. It was not easy getting past the front office people to get them to allow us go see it but once we got to the foreman from the shop to look at the slabs it was a very good experience. He was very understanding and cooperative. It was a very pleasant experience to work with him there. When the installation people came out it was kind of a very difficult situation but they were able to handle it and eventually did a good job although they kind of made a mess getting it done but they cleaned up after that. So, they did a good job, they were good to work with. It's just that they had some difficulties and kind of made a little of a mess getting it installed.
Recent Review: We chose Silestone Pulsar quartz material, which looks a lot like natural marble. Sarah in the showroom arranged for us to go to the local Silestone warehouse to look at slabs of the material. We were expecting that the countertop would have to be pieced together around the sink because the countertop takes two 45 degree turns to follow the wall and windows. However, the installers decided that in spite of its complexity, the sink section could be made in one piece. Furthermore, the height of the countertop was irregular so the wood cabinet tops had to be modified to provide a level surface. Template measurement and installation went smoothly, and the resulting countertop looks amazing! We have the look of a high-end marble countertop without the maintenance!
Recent Review: The crew arrived close to promised arrival time, got straight to work, worked continuously without a break except for lunch. They were polite and courteous and asked me when there was a possibility for alternative methods of installation. I thought they were very professional and I was pleased with the results. They left the area clean and neat.

Recent Review: In addition to the shower tile, they also did the bathroom countertops. It looks great and feels like it’s going to last a LONG time Quality work. Sally was great to deal with. As we were juggling several different home repairs, she was very understanding and helpful when i’d forget times and days. I’d definitely use them again, though i’m hoping we won’t have to. It’s much less expensive than getting a shower re-tiled (i know this as we had the other shower completely retired. holy toledo!!)
Recent Review: My old countertop was a mess. They didn't need to do any demolition and instead were able to put it over the existing structure. They were very helpful and I couldn't recommend them enough
Reviews in City Of Industry for Countertop Installation
I want to start by saying I really like most of the work they did but I have a few complaints. First off I want to say that their communication to each other is bad. I met with the owner Buzz at my house to go over what I wanted done and cost. I wanted my kitchen countertops concreted over my tile and the concrete floor through out the entire house stained as well. I told him I wanted a matt finish which he agreed is better than the gloss. I scheduled them to start about a month and a half later. I texted buzz to see if he wanted to come over and go through the colors and stuff one more time before they start and he said no he will just be there to start on that Wed. He showed up about 8 and asked me to give him half the money down. It was a pretty good chunk of money so he followed me to the bank. After that I never seen him again. He had a worker come out for the first week and prep my floors to be stained. After that his son came in and helped out with the other stuff that he was more experienced with. I asked his son if he knew the color I told Buzz I wanted and he said no so I showed him pictures. Buzz told me this job will take a week now we are going on week 2. Like I said I don't want to bash them because I did like the work somewhat BUT when I came home from work I had cigarette Butts in my grass and chewing tabacco also on a daily basis in the front of my house in the grass. I didn't think that was cool of them to do since there was a trash can on the porch. Also they never cleaned it up I did. On the last day of the color stain that they were doing I came home from work and mentioned to his son that I wanted the Matt finish and he said UH Oh I bought gloss. I said didn't your dad tell you what I wanted and he said NO. I said that his dad also liked the matt instead of the gloss. He said that his dad always tells people that. At this time he already started sealing with the Gloss that I did not want. I thought I might be able to live with it after its done since he already started it. There again no communication. When it came to the end of the staining process they cleaned out the sprayer on my porch and it went everywhere on my white security door, concrete porch and walkway, down my driveway. I didn't see it till in the morning. I texted Buzz and he said he will have them come fix it. Never heard from them again. I texted him about a month later and he said he will send them out to fix it Plus I was having them make me a concrete countertop for a bathroom sink. Never heard from them. I texted a 3rd. time and they came over to bring me the countertop and look at the stain I guess. The stain didn't get cleaned up. I told his son I hate the gloss coat and the worker with him said I can put car wax or polish on it and it will dull the gloss. Also at that time the worker admitted they knew that the stain went everywhere when they were cleaning it out but didn't clean it up it was to dark. BUT they never came back to clean it. I told his son I'm having company from Australia and Wales that month so I will call them to do my bathroom when their gone. I texted Buzz to tell them a month later That the stain didn't get cleaned up and He said once again That he didn't know they didn't clean it up because they didn't communicate that to him and that the one guy is no longer working with him anymore. Buzz said he'd come do it even with a broken knee and I told him I didn't want him to do it if his knee is broken or hurt and he said for me to text him my address and I did. That was a week ago and still no communication from him either. I expect when you pay $16,500 to have this work done I EXPECT it to be done right. Lets go back to the gloss coat I did not want. You have to remember that we had to live in our garage or my son's house till it got done over the 2 1/2 weeks But when they did the gloss coat it was night time they must of had most of our doors open and lights on because it has dried bugs throughout the house and somehow rock chunks throughout the house dried in my floor. I don't understand still how the gloss coat got rocks in it to begin with but when we were finally able to walk on it our feet was getting scrapped by sharp rocks. if you kicked them some would come off and leave a white spot on the floor where it lifted the stain up also. I had to text him a few times to ask him to fix it. Finally I said just give me some extra stain and I will do it myself. I feel once they got our money they could care less what happens after that. Each one says the other don't communicate But neither of them do. They did the work in March of 2016 and we are now into August. I don't know what to really rate them as a business. Their communication to the customer and each other is horrible. If I would have known this before hand I would not of hired them. It takes to much work for the customer to get them back to fix the problems. If they would have just once texted me to say Hey we can't make it or whatever I would have been happy with that no matter how long it takes but to just keep getting ignored or the run around or excuses is not acceptable in my book we gave them to much of are hard earned money for that. I could go into a few more details but I wont I will just leave it at this.

Seemingly it went fine but one year later and I'm having to have it done again. The materials that we're used were inferior as parts of the countertop that don't even get used are peeling back.

DAGGREGATE PROTECTIVE COATINGS
Work went smoothly. Everyone was pleasant and easy to work with during the initial job. Floor had to be redone several times probably because of the weather conditions during installation. My problem with them was that they would never return my phone calls for followup repair work.

It turned out well. Countertops. There were a couple things that needed to be fixed from the first install. They were very accommodating to make sure I was satisfied so they came right out and fixed it.

They did a great job with our countertops. Had them for about six months now and still love them! Great company and I would recommend them to anyone.

Soapstone Werks are a responsive and responsible firm. I chose them to redo the kitchen countertops, even though there was another Soapstone dealer only a few miles from my house. From Wendy taking a lot of time and care to help me find the best slab, to Greg explaining every step of the project, to the final installation in a 102 year-old kitchen, they went the extra mile. The countertop is my favorite part of my new kitchen!

I received a bid from another concrete design company that was way over priced and trying to get an estimate from them was a hassle. I have two young children and I had to go to their shop (which was a hellish experience with a 1 and 4-year-old), meet with them and wait a week to get an estimate. My first contact with Tim was through e-mail. I wanted a concrete fireplace for my house, and he was able to give me a price right away through e-mail. He came out to my home to take measurements and gave suggestions on design. He also stated he could do any design I wanted, even a fireplace I saw out of a magazine. He also said he could match any color I wanted. He brought samples to my house, and he also did three different samples for us because we wanted a different color from what he brought us. The installation was quick, easy and very professional. He is a very detailed, knowledgeable man who takes pride in his work. We love our new concrete fireplace!

The company was very professional and helpful, answering all my questions, and helping me prevent mistakes. Seth personally helped me pick out the color that went best with my color scheme. The demolition and installation was done on the dates promised. The guys were very skilled, making sure not to damage anything and to clean up afterward. My floor was laid expertly, as well as the countertops.

A local owned family business. Very congenial and professional. They do not have a showroom but brought many samples of different materials and only gave their opinions when asked. We had to purchase two slabs of quartz because of the kitchen layout and used the remaining for the laundry room and hallway. They brought out the two slabs on their flatbed truck and many samples of backsplash so we could compare. Their care in matching the glass back splash colors wrapping around windows and corners was very nice and quality work. I am replacing the window that they wrapped the glass around and Sammy said call me when you install the new window and I will trim it to match the new install. They brought the remaining pieces for window sills that they will come and cut on sight after the windows are replaced. Extremely fair priced compared to other bids. We are planning on using this company again for future work in our home.
