Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.

Recent Review: First day installers were punctual, rapidly started the prep work on floor (I had removed carpet, trim and mopped/vacumned concrete pad already to save on labor charge) They removed a 4x4 section of tile at Entry Door. Leveled concrete pad with self-leveler in needed areas. Second day installers were later than the first day (I was staying up to get them into the house, I work nights so I would stay up, let them in and go upstairs with earplugs ;) .. Third day installers were around an hour later than before and only had 2 guys instead of the 4-5 previously. The biggest complaint of entire job was the finish detail. They pulled up the base boards but in several areas the baseboard was slightly damaged or unpainted (home builder laid baseboards before finished floors **(dopes imho)** not one offer to repaint them was made (even if extra charge was incurred), secondly the stairs to sunken living room were initially trimmed in quarter round. It looked absolutely sophomoric in attempt and was finished extremely POORLY. After the third day (now Friday) I called the sales rep and let them know my issues, to their credit they tried to resolve my issues though there was several days lag before the installers could come fix their issues. Day Four (now several days later) installer came, (unannounced as someone forgot to call me from their office) and retrimed the stairs beautifully with matching baseboards (4 1/2 inch) that they found and sourced (REDEEMING QUALITY!!!) While waiting for installer to come I had noticed that there was a gap in the first riser... When installing they had to glue them down, and they measured off cut piece to wall but then installed it under wall leaving a 2-3mm gap, which they then filled with a piece of scrap, once you noticed it, you could see if everytime you walked by. I asked about fix for this, and installer talked about difficulty and it was not fixed (though trim on steps were done above my expectation.) Day Five (now over a week since inital install) Installer came out to fix issues with baseboard that was not properly lined up to the same level as other trim pieces around it and fixed the gap in the first riser. Job was completed to my wifes (final boss) approval and I cut them a check for the remainder of their 50% holdback (REDEEMING Quality) Floor went down fast and pretty solidly for not as an expensive flooring type. I really like the choice of flooring and think it will hold up well to my family (2 girls and 2 dogs and my wife). The installers that Onsite uses I believe are subcontractors and I believe that affects their overall quality, while my job was a fairly big job, the pricepoint was not exorbitant, and I feel as if it was a and quot;Good enough and if he doesnt complain we collect our money and goto next joband quot;. The sales rep seemed genuinely concerned at my retorts to the quality of finish work (I was asked to send pictures) and overall the job was done to MY SATISFACTION but the amount of time it took was a little offputting. I stand firmly on the fence if I will ever give Onsite another job (I need new carpet upstairs (around 1000sq/ft between four rooms) but them not collecting the funds until I was satisfied held them up in my mind as atleast a Company that atleast makes an effort. I live in the far west valley and the distances involved for them is probably far, but I always felt it wasnt apporpriate that if they use subs, that the sales rep or a rep from the company did not come out and inspect final work. I dont know if that was a problem because my sales guy was out of town that weekend or if that is a regular thing for them (the installers did take my check made out to Onsite Design). Eitherway the floor is done, and we like it, the process to get their was not as good as I would of hoped.

Recent Review: I HAVE KNOWN FLOORS UNLIMITED FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I HAVE HIRED THEM SEVERAL TIMES. THEY INSTALLED NEW FLOOR TILE AND CARPETING IN MY PREVIOUS HOME AND I HIRED THEM TO INSTALL SLATE AROUND THE FACE OF MY FIREPLACE. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF PICKING OUT TILE FOR A BACKSPLASH IN MY KITCHEN WHICH THEY WILL BE INSTALLING. JOHN MARSH IS THE OWNER AND HAS ALREADY BEEN OUT TO MEASURE. HE IS JUST WAITING ON ME TO TELL HIM WHICH TILE. I HAVE REFERRED HIM TO SEVERAL OF MY INSURED'S AS WELL AS FAMILY MEMBERS. HE HAS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY REASONABLE PRICING.

Reviews in Chemehuevi Valley to Install Laminate Flooring

DCARPET TODAY & TILE
We had used Carpet Today at 2 times prior to this and always felt that the owner was reliable and professional. Carpet Today as a store is closed but the owner is still doing jobs. We purchased laminate flooring through the owner along with a date to put in the flooring. He and his helper were to be at the job at 10:00 am but didn't arrive until 11:30 am. This meant that half the day was over to begin with. I know that the owner has had some very difficult times lately but I was so unprepared for his unprofessional attitude when he arrived the first day. He parked his work trailer in our drive and started to park his truck in front of our neighbor's yard. Our neighbor has guests that park there so I asked the owner to back up in front of our house. We had plenty of room. He got mad, gunned his motor, sped down the road for a full block, turned around a raced back to the front of our house. His reason for not wanting to park in front of our house? He didn't want the trailer to hit his truck if it began to roll from the drive! He didn't bring anything to chock his own wheels. If the flooring hadn't been there and our house a mess waiting for the job, I'd have fired him then and there. His bad attidude continued and worsened because our old 1964 built house is a measurment nightmare. He had done work before at our home but forgot how off center the walls are. There were some things to move but we had already removed several other items as well as taking the drawers out of the lamp tables. We had done a lot of work ahead of the job to make it easier for the job to be done. My wife and I are both disabled and all the lifting, moving etc. was a hardship on us. the things left for the workers to move were too bulky and heavy for us. When he started to leave we noticed that the floor sunk down by the trim. We pointed this out and he said that the floor was supposed to give. Give is one thing; sinking down an inch is way too much. The next day, when we tried to pull the tape up from some of the joint areas, we couldn't get the tape up because so much glue had seeped out and was all over our new flooring. Then where he took up the baseboards, he put gouges in the wood so much so that all of our baseboards need to be relaced. Some of them were already in need of painting and we recognize that fact. We learned our lesson. His work was once professional but this recent job was anything but professional. The flooring itself looks nice but the trim from one room to the next had far too much "give" and gaps. Our baseboards can't just be repainted but have to be replaced. This with his unprofessional attitude prompts me to say, not to use this company. The store is closed but the owner still does business using the Carpet Today name. I'm sorry to say this because he had always been reliable in the past. He acted as if he were doing us a favor, but $4400 is not a favor. It was most of our tax refund and only covered the living room and hallway. I'm sorry that he felt that we were being unreasonable in questioning the work. As I said, we really liked his work prior to this job.

ARIVERSIDE FLOORS
I wanted to replace the carpeting and vynil in my 924 square foot mobile in Earp, CA. with wood laminate.  I contacted Riverside Floors and worked with Sandy and Heather to select a wood laminate product.  I selected a Quick Step Reclaime laminate floor.  Sandy and Heather were very professional and helpful during this process.  The installers removed all the old carpet and vynil.  They were careful not to cause any damage during this process and kept the worksite clean.  They did a great job with the install of the floor and all new baseboards.  Their attention to detail was outstanding!  I am very happy with Riverside Floors and their work and would recommend them to anyone!

ARIVIERA FLOOR COVERING
They did a really nice job with the carpets, so when it came time to do the floors, I knew I wanted to call them. They did a beautiful job with the flooring as well! We did have a problem with them under ordering what was needed, so there was a delay in finishing.

DBig D's LLC
Big D's comes with even bigger prices. When Dennis came to my house, he was on time and very professional.  I felt very comfortable talking to him about what I needed done and he seemed very knowledgeable regarding the process.  I had purchased laminate hard wood flooring and all the material needed for 3 bedrooms, living room, very small hallway and front entrance hall. The total of square feet came to 1036. Dennis looked at what I had and said everything was fine.  I needed to have the tile taken up in the living room and hallways also the carpet taken out of the bedrooms.  He would remove and put back the baseboards and move the furniture side to side when putting the floor down.  He said that he and his crew could have it done in 2 or 3 days. I was feeling great.  He then told me that his wife would email me the estimate.  I already had some idea of a price but when I got the email, I was in shock, offended and just p***** off.  $11,034.00 for 2 to 3 days of work, I had already purchased the material for 1036 sq ft of flooring. Really. I then emailed his wife and shared my feelings and she emailed me back and told me that is was not going to take 2 days to do but 2 weeks. Are you kidding me. Well I got another estimate today from another contractor for $2500.00 he then gave me a discount for paying cash.  I gave him 50% down and  I had him add another small project to the list. The project will be done in 4 days. Sorry Mr D's but $8534 difference is more than  I can afford.

The experience was fantastic overall. The technicians showed up on time, did the work, and they were very clean, never leaving a mess. We didn’t have any problems, and we’d call them again if needed.

There was nothing that we disliked. They seemed to be pretty good and we were happy with them. They were prompt and got the job done unlike some places where they take their time that we can’t depend on. Their prices were comparable.

AFox's Carpet Connection
George was recommended to us by Mary K Clark of Welcome Home Design. He came and measured our home and brought samples. None of the samples appealed to us so he brought more samples by my office the next day (unannounced, but obviously eager to get our business) I appreciated his desire to make us happy and that he was very friendly. When we expressed concern that water on the earthwerks flooring looked like it might be a problem, he called the manufacturer and got us info that showed us our concerns were unfounded and that the product would work well for us. When the flooring and carpeting arrived and it was the first day of install he and his crew arrived and like a whirlwind went to work. For the next three days our house was transformed. They moved all the furniture, including our fridge, stove couches, beds, dressers and Grand Piano. It was fun to watch them work, they had a great time, all got along well together and made new friends. Great group of guys, would highly recommend.

We started the work in late March and it was finished in early July.  Rick was very communicative in the process as to where we were, what the delays were.  When any issues came up, Rick dealt with them and the subcontractors to make sure everything was done correctly.  Overall, the process took longer than we hoped with some of the issues that came up, but we were very happy with the communication and the final area.  I want to thank Rick for his professionalism, communication, and ideas he brought throughout the process.  It helped us to have our in law suite downstairs exactly the way we needed.

ALTD Management & Maintenance
Lawrence was very professional in every phase of the project; even in helping pick the proper grout color.  He was on time for appointments, prompt for estimates and finished the job on time.  During the project, because we live out of state, he kepy us updated by email pictures and answered my phone calls when I had a question. Yes, I will use LTD Management again; in fact I have projects planned. Update-- 12/12/13- For the electrical service and painting service, everything went great. They always showed up on time. The painting job was done very professionally.
