When talking to Brian on the phone, he indicated that he and another worker would be out to do the work. When Brian arrived, he indicated that his worker would be doing the work and that he had to go to another place to do the same type of work which was being conducted at our residents. His worker did the pressure wash, but was told that he had to do the patio, so he had to come back the next day to do that job, because he was not told to do so. He did some sanding, yet it was very lite with little effort on the windows. His painting was fine at the time, except after he had finished the job and the windows in the living room, kitchen and the second bed room were shut to the point where you had to apply extreme physical force to get them open. A call was made to Brain about the situation after he was paid and yet there was no return call. I had to work on the windows a few days later which caused some of the paint to come off. Proper prepping would of helped. The screen doors in the kitchen had to be sanded do to the fact of excessive paint build up on the bottom of the screen doors. My view is that if you pay someone $2350.00 to do a job, it is not the responsibility of the owner to fix the mistakes. A job is a job so therefore it must be done in a professional manner with no excuses. Weigh your priorities and not take on to many jobs which can only be done half professional manner.

ABrian Stock Painting
The whole process from start to finish was stress free. Especially since it was a rental property and I lived near Sacramento. Brian kept me informed throughout the process and text me pictures of their progress. Brian and his team was very professional, easy to communicate concerns and ideas, and very responsive to my needs. The price was very reasonable considering I had a house, detached garage, front and rear deck, front and rear retaining wall, and some termite damage. I would highly recommend his services to all. Great job Brian! Keep up the fantastic customer service.

FMobile Home Wash
Larry Chickos, owner or Mobile home wash sales manager gave a quote of $95 to pressure wash a mobile home. I took the bid as the other companies gave quotes around $150.00. There were two mobile homes involved, mine and my daughter's. He said there was mold and mildew that would require an expensive solution, which would cost $850 for both of them. There was a lot of paint removed in the process and chips out of the wood siding fell off, including one that was 3in long by 5in long. I had to use spackle to fill it in. He said he did very careful work so I wouldn't have to seal my windows. As it turned out the sills had puddles of water around them on the inside windowsills and the windows themselves are spotted and streaked. When they left, they left all these heavy flower pots and everything they moved out. It was a lot of work for me to go back and get everything in place because I'm 80, so this wasn't an easy task. I feel I was the victim of bait and switch, as the average rate for mobile homes was $150 per home. I had paid him $850.00. 6/21/13 A year later and I am still upset about the scam that was pulled on me. This "person" charged hundreds for a supposedly superior wash solution. That was a lie! The MH's have the same grime on them that they did before and it wipes or washes off with ease. I could have done a better job than he did myself! Larry Chickos never made good on the damage he did to my home, The chunk of wood he gouged out. The flaking paint damage. . As far as his response goes.... My critique of his works speaks for itself.

FC & J Cleaning & Presure Washing
Terrible. The initial contact for the appointment went well and Mr. Castellanos made time for me in what appeared to be a busy schedule. It all went south from there. The day he was supposed to show up (Tuesday morning at 10am), my wife waited at home all morning and he didn't show up (though he later declared that he did and no one answered the door and he waited around for half an hour, "I have pictures", he said). It is possible that my wife missed the doorbell or the knock and there was some trouble with the phone number he called to confirm, but the aftermath was the real problem. I called the number given online through Angie's List twice at 2:19pm and 2:20pm and was hung up on both times. At the end of the second call a child's voice said "you have the wrong number" just before hanging up. I later sent an email with the following message: "Hello, This message is for Jose Castellanos of C&J Cleaning & Pressure Washing. I spoke with you last week and we had an appointment for 10am this morning at my home at [in] Carmel for 3 hours worth of window cleaning (prepaid thru Angie's List). My wife was home all morning waiting for you to arrive and you did not show up. I attempted to call your number (831-539-5432) twice at 2:19pm and 2:20pm and was hung up on both times. At the end of the second call a child's voice said "you have the wrong number" just before hanging up. Please contact me ASAP so we can work this out. " I left him my cell phone number and within an hour Mr. Castellanos called me upset. He said I had wasted his time and was very defensive. He never apologized for the hang-ups or missed appointment and just told me how he had moved around more important appointments for me. He said he had been there (something both my wife and gardener refute) and that he had pictures. He described my house (something that could be done using street view on google maps) and I proceeded to apologiz to him for any misunderstanding and requested a return date. He told me he was very busy and would get back to me. He never did. So six weeks later, while I was out of the country, my wife attempted to contact him so that he could provide the service we had already paid for through Angie's List. My wife called him and he was very inappropriate in the way he talked to her yelling and calling us dishonest and demanding we pay him $150 for his supposed arrival six weeks prior. She refused to pay anything more than what we had prepaid and asked him to come and provide the service as agreed. He said he was too busy and he would not come. She asked for our money back by the end of the week. Mr. Castellanos proceeded to hang up on my wife. The next day Mr. Castellanos called to apologize to my wife and said that he was or had been sick and unable to perform the work and that we needed to contact Angie's List to get our money back since he was never paid (because he didn't do the job). With this change in attitude it appears to me that Mr. Castellanos was not honest with us from the start. However, this could have been avoided if he had treated us with the same respect we tried to treat him. Needless to say, we won't be hiring C & J Cleaning & Pressure Washing again and we will tell our friends the same. This experience makes me reluctant to hire businesses from Angie's List deals in the future.
