Recent Review: It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price.

Recent Review: Scott Birdwell did a very professional job from beginning to end. He was also very helpful in choosing the tile for each room. The tile all looks great. In addition, he performed excellent tile work for two undermount sinks in the bathrooms. Everything was cleaned up after the work was done. The material cost for the tile was more expensive than average. His labor bid was in line with two other bids. His estimate was very detailed in terms of materials and detailed labor to be performed. This means I didn't have to take time to ask him for these needed details and then wait for an estimate again. He did it right the first time. I chose him because I thought he would do the best job, and I feel I made the right decision.

Recent Review: Let me start by saying that these are the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. We had paid for the job long in advance to secure the start date. We were told the actual instal would take 3 to 5 days. We had other contractors lined up before and after the granit contractors so their start date was important. We kept in constant contact with them keeping them informed how the remodel was progressing. When there start date arrived we were told that they were really busy and our start date was pushed back 10 days. When they arrived with the countertops they had the wrong edges on the countertops so back to the shop for another week. When they arrived the next week they installed the countertops only to leave for another week. While we now had our countertops we could not instal the stove because they had not left enough space so the following when they returned they had to grind down the countertops in the kitchen creating a great granit mess in the house. They now instaled the backsplash! They did not seal under the backsplash on top of the counter, they miscut some of the holes for the outlets, they scratched the walls, they scratched the new cabnets, and they knocked a small hole in the drywall while installing the windowsill. When they sealed the countertop they accidently got the material that they use to seal the granit on the new tile floor. I was able to repair all of the damage that they had done myself but I did not feel that it should have been my job to fix their mistakes. When I mentioned to them about the scratches and damage they went into an explination of how it was the caused by the way the cabinets were constructed and how it would all be an easy fix. Never an offer to repair the damage. It took me a total of 7 hours to correct the problems. Not easy to my way of thinking. In the end we have a nice looking kitchen but there was a lot of frustration getting here.

Recent Review: They replaced my old dishwasher and installed a new one without removing any tiles in my floor. Instead they removed a few tiles from the countertop which allowed the dishwasher to be removed. Removing the travertine would have cost a lot more and potentially would have required extensive repair to my kitchen floor. I really appreciated the time they took to explain all of my options.

CGranite Transformations
It was extra expensive. The countertop is okay but I don't know if I paid too much. They did get it here in a reasonably amount of time. First they told me that it's going to be three weeks before they could put it in. They came quite a bit faster than that. The quality seems to be fine but we did have to call them back because they left a piece of grout. We did get that repaired and they came right away for that.

I saw them in a home show. The job was fine, except for one seam that I can see; I do not like it. I hope I do not have to use them again.

BCASSARINO STONE
It went well overall. I went to their place where they told me their process in detail. I went to Arizona tile to pick out and pay for my granite. Then they sent out a seperate contractor to demo my fireplace and countertops. The seprate contractor helped a great deal for me to get everything that was needed, but left much to be desired. While demoing my countertops they left gaping holes in some of the drywall. I had to patch that and everything before Cassirino could install my granite. They also put plywood down so that the granite could be installed, but when Cassarino got here to take the template, they told me that the plywood was not level. So I had to go home depot for some brackets and installed them myself. This helped me to get the plywood level on my own. It was a lot of work that I was under the impression that I had hired Cassirino to perform. I had the seperate contractor also demo my fire place. I put my own plywood there and was able to get everything completed without gaping holes. This saved me lots of money. When Cassirino came They installed the fireplace with ease and were able to get everything installed with ease. The only thing that was and still is unfinished is the fact that some of the plywood is showing where the granite meets the fireplace, but I only need to install black calking there to cover that seam up. I suggest you do the demo and plywood yourself, it is cheaper and better completed in the long run.

He did a beautiful job. He is very eccentric and sets his own schedule. He is difficult to work with although not unpleasant. That is the only thing I would say against him. If you want a job started now and finished in 5 days that is not the way he works. I don't know if I would use him again.

APayless Handyman
We had a fabulous experience with this remodel!  There were no "short cuts" with this remodel! Every morning, Les would go over what projects that Skyler and he were going to accomplish that day and then in the afternoon, Les would recap what had been completed.  We always felt like we were kept "in the loop" as to what was going on.  When the kitchen was gutted, the team was able to save our old cabinets and they were repurposed. In addition, our Handyman Team were able to keep the dust down, and so we were able to stay in the house.  We found out that there was a lot of engineering that goes into hanging cabinets, and the Payless Team were very precise with their measurements, and all the cabinets were installed to perfection.  The same was true for the countertops, and tile. Payless Handyman is truly  commitment to excellence  in all aspects of this remodel.  The job was completed in a timely manner and came in under budget. We would definitely recommend the Payless Handyman Team to people who are looking for contractors who are high performing, clean and careful, personable, able to communicate, and have and excellent work ethic. We will be hiring them again in the New Year! Martin and Barbara Whitney October 30, 2012
