Recent Review: Installation of blown in cellulose (above old 1970's era insulation) went really well, but they did not do the fiberglass bats around the skylights even though it was in the contract.  I had to go up and take a picture of the bare knee-walls and have the foreman come out and look at it for that part to be done.  It took a second trip but it was completed.  The crawlspace up in the attic is less than 2 feet even in the roomiest spots, so it was a tough job, and the installer the first time thought that just extra blown in cellulose around the skylights was enough. I do have access to a ranged IR laser thermometer and the temperature on the uninsulated kneewalls on a hot day before the bats were put on was 20 to 30 degrees higher than the rest of the ceiling so that past was essential to keep the house insulated. I am happy with the final result, but it took longer than I expected for the total job to be done.

Attic Insulation Labs
Recent Review: They did a great job at the attic insulation removal. I needed my batts insulation removing for years and I wanted it replacing with blown in insulation. Luckily I found out that Attic Insulation Labs has experience with batts insulation and blown in insulation, so I was very happy and they were perfect for the job. The batts insulation removal went well and they quickly carried out the blown in insulation installation. They told me that inbetween they sprayed my attic with a sanitizer spray which kills bacteria and they also rodent-proofed my attic by filling in any holes with wire mesh and expanding foam. These guys went above and beyond what I expected and I now know that my attic is gonna be clean and warm for years and years now. Also they were very cheap and affordable, especially when there providing such a good service with all the cleaning and rodent proofing as well.

Recent Review: I needed my insulation replaced because it was very old and I had rodents as well. I initially wanted to get three quotes before hiring anyone to do the job for me. I met with one company who was a little cheaper but I did not get a good vibe from them. 911 was my 2nd quote I met with Ron and instantly had a good feeling with him. He was professional and thorough, took his time to explain to me the entire process and made me feel at ease. I felt like I no longer needed any other quotes because Ron answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with the entire process. Im glad I followed my instincts and hired Ron and his workers to perform the job for me because they did just as promised and finished the job within the time frame. I highly recommend 911 restoration and Ron to Anyone needing to replace their insulation they are very reliable and certainly know exactly what they are doing.

Recent Review: It went very well. There were some unexpected costs due to wood damaged discovered when old roof was removed. But all the work was done well and the new roof looks great and the insulation has made a big difference in the comfort of our home

Recent Review: The person who came to give the quote was very good, professional, prompt and fair. The guys who came to install the insulation were well prepared and efficient. When installing insulation, an old pipe broke because it was already partially cut. These guys were not really responsible for it. I credit them for calling me to let me know, and preventing a flood by turning the water off quickly. The price was the best among 3 or 4 quotes. I recommend them.

Comfort Advisors Heating & Air Conditioning
Recent Review: Their work is excellent. They started the work 1/26/2015 and finished a week later 2/2/2015. After insulating the attic and sealing the house, I barely need to use the A/C or heat except on the hottest or coldest days of the year because the house is so much better insulated and sealed up than before. I'll list the work they did based off the proposal they wrote up: - Certified removal of asbestos ducts (all the ducts were asbestos, and were leaking) - Remove existing batt insulation, vacuum and sanitize attic (they removed all the old insulation and vacuumed my attic like a cleaning company. ASI didn't offer to do any of that; they were simply going to blow new insulation over the old insulation--it's one of many reasons I decided to hire Comfort Advisors) - Apply air sealing foam to cracks and crevices on kneewalls, as well as the attic floor - Install Cancoverlts on top of all heat emitting fixtures and bathroom fans - Installation of R8 mylar flexible ducts with a measured leakage of less than 10% (includes return box retrofit) - Secure R30 batt insulation onto kneewalls with twine - Secure R38 Poly-Iso foam onto existing attic hatch - Blow R38 of cellulose insulation onto attic floor (I had a choice of cellulose or fiberglass and I chose cellulose because I read that it's a better insulator, also more environmentally friendly) - Install 2 Panasonic WhisperGreen fans; a continuous ventilation fan in hallway bath and single speed in master bath (these fans are awesome! Before when we'd use the shower, the bathroom mirror would fog up and you couldn't see yourself in the mirror, but with these fans on, the mirrors never fog up anymore! They do a fantastic job removing the extra moisture, and they're quiet too! According to Comfort Advisors, the reason these fans were installed was because when the house gets sealed up this well, the air gets kind of stagnant and there's a lack of air circulation, so these fans force the air to circulate through the house). - EUC Home Upgrade test-in/out, including documentation processing with SDG&E (Then there are a few notes they added): Duct leakage 93 CFM/5.8% Home leakage target 1811 CFM, actual leakage 1735 CFM Attic insulation actual R40+ (no additional charge) Ducts buried actual R20+ (no additional charge) (They also offered to build an attic catwalk for $900 if we needed to walk through the attic, because there's like 15 or so inches of cellulose insulation you have to walk over, but we declined that work. We haven't needed to go into the attic so far). The quote they gave: $12,244 minus $1500 discount (because I had attended a home tour and was given a discount at the time) = $10,744 minus $1000 estimated EUC (Energy Upgrade California) incentive = $9744. AAttic Insulation Labs
To tell you the truth, I wish I had hired Attic Insulation Labs years ago. I had a bunch of different attic cleaning companies come in and service my attic, but all of them did a bad job which I was not satisfied with. However, Attic Insulation Labs were amazing! They cleaned up my batts insulation and the rest of my attic, getting rid of any dirt, dust, and mold which had built up over the years. They did a much more thorough job than any other contractor I have worked with for attic cleaning, and I’ve been recommending them to all my friends at work and church. Five stars!

The introductory meeting was informative.  The sales representative was ready to schedule a date for installation during this meeting.  So things happened very quickly.  Two workers showed up on time and completed the work in less than two hours.  They worked well together and when I asked about the process, they were very patient in explaining what they would be doing.  I assumed their work was of high quality, in spite of my not being able to climb into the attic to check.  They cleaned up after completing the installation.  I was very pleased with the overall service provided.  Thank you.
