Recent Review: As I prepare to call John again for another issue with one of our appliances, I'm reminded of how long he's been our repair guy. Since 1998, we've used him exclusively to repair our stoves and ovens. First a vintage O'Keefe and Merritt in our first house, and more recently our 50's Wedgewood-Holly built into the kitchen wall of our current house. He's fantastic, knows these old stoves inside and out, and is careful, meticulous and very skilled. I love that he keeps these old stoves running smoothly, but remind everyone that he works on contemporary appliances as well and is just as talented. I have a Westinghouse dishwasher that howls for attention. Not too old, but out of warranty for several year's now, and next on John's repair list for us. He's honest, personable and very knowledgeable.
Recent Review: I called for service and the appointment was made for the next day. The technicain arrived and identified the problem as the oven electronic igniter. The technician called me to let me know what the problem was and indicated the amount to replace/repair. The job was completed within 2 hours and the technician was courteous and professional.

Dave is always great. I have called him over the years to fix my problematic dryers (old Whirlpool and then Maytag Neptune) and repair trash compactor which the kids then rebroke, the smelly Sub-Zero which we got the manufacturer to replacem and now a new wall oven installation. He's the perfect service guy--talks straight about the appliance's repair history and gets it done. Knows everything about every appliance. Local family guy.

We were pleased with the prompt reply and completion of our oven repair. After being ignored for six weeks by the repair service recommended by the stove manufacturer, we looked at Angie’s List. We called 10X Repair Service and they immediately responded.

Oven quit working on old cheap stove. Wanted to replace it but money wasn't right. Called Mike and made an appointment to look at it. Turned out to be a bad igniter. Had part on truck and I was up and running within half hour. As far as I'm concerned, Mike is the man.

After Meyer Appliance spent so much time and money replacing the controller on the Thermador oven in my rental, I called on Aloha when it needed to be replaced a third time. They did it the next day and so far, it has stayed done.

Prompt and professional. Knew immediately what the problem was. I had a couple other questions and he gave me very useful information about my particular range.

I first called Meyer Appliance on 6/26/07 because the oven controller on my never-before-used floor model Thermador stove was beeping and showing gibberish. They replaced it and the oven seemed to work. About 7/29/08, new tenants tried to use the self-cleaning feature and encountered the same scenario. Meyer's warranty had expired after 90 days, but I called them again. They replaced the same part at about the same price, but this time it seems to have taken them more than a couple of service calls. I have heard it was about 6! My tenants complained of the time they had to take off work, so I drove in twice (80 miles round trip) to meet with the technicians. One problem they had was that the factory box had the wrong part in it. I think another problem was the door latch was bent. On 3/31/09, the same part failed again, so I called Aloha Appliance. They charged me $400, but did the work the next day and promised a 1-year warranty.

Tom was great! He took the time to understand what problems we were having, diagnosed the causes and recalibrated the oven. Additionally, he took the extra 5-10 mins to explain to me what the normal working parameters of this oven are and how they differed from what I was used to. He gave me helpful suggestions that have since made using the oven much easier and less of a science experiment. Additionally, he quickly identified a problem we had with the microwave oven door and replaced the door spring efficiently.

Our wall oven control unit failed. It was under warranty, but over the course of a month both the manufacturer and the warranty company claimed the part was no longer available. We found an online vendor that had the part. On the basis of reviews here, we called Lee's Appliance to ask how much it would cost to install the part if we bought it. John, the proprietor, suggested we let him check with his own suppliers to avoid us paying hundreds of dollars for a part that we couldn't return if it turned out not to fix the problem. He called the next business day to report he had found the part, came on time this morning, installed it and stayed until he had seen the oven cycle through a series of on-off phases. He charged us less for the part than the online vendor by a substantial amount, charged a very reasonable labor fee and ultimately enabled us to avoid laying out $2,000 for a new oven.
