Recent Review: I got a quick response and Armando sent his people to check the site first. He gave me two options and once I decided his people came the site removed the old one. The next day Armando came and installed the new one even it was raining. As a follow up, he called and came again to set the mode to meet my needs. Great service!

LaBella's Pool Service
Recent Review: Marc and Paul are AWESOME! Let me tell you, I looked around for someone to install my new Pentair Variable Speed Pool Pump. Most of the retail stores such as Pool Time, etc. would not just do the installation, and neither would several other pool contractors. They wanted ME to pay a total of $1,600 for this. They would not do the job unless they also procured the pump, thereby jacking the price way up for me to pay. What a rip off! But then, I discovered the LaBella brothers. They were in touch with me every step of the way as to which specific pump to buy (they even ENCOURAGE their clients to buy online and save $$$). So I bought the pump online for $818 with no sales tax and no shipping costs, and with the PGand E rebate of $100 that I'm about to receive that makes it a cost of $718 for the pump. LaBella charged me a totally reasonable price of $149 for the parts and labor for the installation. Paul installed it and I watched him do it from start to finish. Boy, can he install a pool pump! He explained the entire process to me, he programmed it according to my specs, and I'm about to save a LOT of money on my energy bill. My last pool pump was a 1.5HP and a total energy hog. One other pool contractor (who would not just do the install and wanted to charge me $1600) also tried to steer me to another total energy hog that was a 5HP pump. Boy, I am SO HAPPY I found LaBella's Pool Service. And you know what? Now they have a very happy client, and whenever I decide to hire a pool service (my husband cleans the pool right now), I know who I'm going to call. I've even started to spread the word to my neighbors. So, all you other contractors out there who want to gouge your clients, well, forget about me ever calling you!

A POOL PATROL
Recent Review: My Pinnacle 3/4 HP pool pump installed in 2007 did not start. It hummed and then stopped. I did a bit of research on the web and people said it could be starter capacitor, wiring, or impeller. I searched for a few pool maintenance providers near my area that might possibly have the ability to diagnose and repair the pump and found A Pool Patrol on Angie's List. Emailed an inquiry to A Pool Patrol and Rick called me back in half an hour (wow!). I described my problem over the phone, and he clearly explained a few possible causes just as I researched. We set up a time for him to come check on the pump on the same day and he showed at exactly the appointment time. Rick was friendly and knowledgeable. He was very patient to answer all my questions and explained clearly the costs for possible scenarios. He did not find obvious cause on the spot and had to take the pump back to his shop to check on the capacitor and wiring. He called me after about one hour to inform me that it was a bad starter capacitor and he replaced it. He brought back the pump in less than an hour or so and my pump was back to order. The problem was fixed in less than four hours end to end amazingly. I got a bill from Rick including service call, parts, and bench labor, which I consider very reasonably.  Overall this is the most smooth experience I had ever had working with any contractors/service providers! Thank you Rick!

H & H POOL SERVICE
Recent Review: I contacted H&H by email and received a reply in about an hour. I described how the pool filter pump had stopped working and that it was controlled by a automated system. David was able to arrange for his technician to come out the next day. The technician arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair all within about 30 minutes. I asked him about another small problem I was having with the pool and he was able to give me a reasonable quote. H&H was very responsive and professional. I'd definitely recommend them for any pool repair work.

Blue Splash Pool Service Repair & Leak Detection
Recent Review: I definitely recommend using blue splash. Replaced a new pump for me quickly and as promised. Had an issue with a leak somewhere in the pool that another company could not find and told me was evaporation. After a few trips out and some minor repairs problem solved. No more leaks and the water level is staying normal. Give them a try if you need pool issues handled

Work was done well. However, the wrong timer was initially ordered and when the right timer arrived, they had trouble putting it in.

ALESLIE'S SWIMMING POOL SUPPLIES
I bought the pump online from Leslie's with the intention of installing it myself.  Changed my mind, decided I didn't want to spend my Christmas break trying to install it.  I first called another company that had done work previously  on our pool, but since I didn't buy the pump from them, they would not do the work. I called Leslie's 800# for pool service on Monday morning.  The cost to install the pump was $240 labor, $30 materials, $20 trip charge. Technician arrived on schedule Thursday morning, took about an hour to do the job.  Job included cutting out the supply and return pipes, running new electrical wire from the wall box to the pump, and plumbing in piping.  Maybe not a big deal, but the pump takes 2 inch pipe, and my set up was only 1.5 inch, so he had to add in adapters.  Once he had the pump running, he walked me through the set up, and before he left, reminded me that there is a PG&E rebate available.

Erik is a pool guru, and explains everything about the system, points out areas for improvement but isn't out to sell unneeded equipment or services.  He gave me great confidence that my money was being well spent. Homan (owner) came out after the work was done and gave me some training on maintenance of the pool with the new pump and filter.  I would turn over my pool maintenance to Sterling if they serviced my area (Rose Garden SJ). Third pool company I've worked with in 2 yrs and now I don't have to look elsewhere.
