ACollege Works Painting - California
We had been passively thinking about having our house painted, so when Wells Dunscombe knocked on our door one evening, my wife decided to at least give him a chance to provide a quote. When he came by a couple of days later, we were immediately impressed with how he presented himself and the training which he obviously had received. I was concerned that we were taking a little bit of a chance with Wells and his crew, but though out the entire process any and all of my fears were allayed by the excellent work that they did. From the planning process, to helping us pick colors, to the actual 4 days where the majority of the work occurred, everything went smoothly and without any issues. The quality of the work matches what we had done years ago by an local professional. Wells went the extra mile in making sure that the deck, which turned out to the the hardest part of the job, turned out to our satisfaction. I would recommend College Works to anyone and the work that Wells did particularly.

DGARDELLE CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPE
The job was bid in Nov, but work could not be scheduled by the contractor until January. When it finally did start, there were several delays due to workers being sick or unavailable. Ultimately things were not completed until late Feb; three months after a quote was provided. Weather was a factor in one or two cases, but I think you can do the math: this took a long time. The price was competitive, which we were happy about. The restructuring of the deck went well; also good to see. We found a can of wood stain from the previous home owner that we thought would be a suitable re-finisher for the deck, but without any special prep work by the contractor that ended up looking awful - the old shards of paint were clearly visible. We took responsibility for our part in making that happen, but some professional advice would have prevented the problem in the first place. Plus they left nails sticking up, and were ready to call the job done. We ended up paying for materials and incremental labor to re-finish the deck. When it was finally done, the crew did not replace items that they had removed until I pushed them them to do so. That is part of professional work, I found the whole thing to be ridiculous. Overall the job took far more time and effort than it should have, and I ended up paying more than was agreed to in the contract. Timely completion of work and good advice are 2 important qualities of a good contractor, and neither was apparent here.

AEnvirotek Restoration Inc
Envirotek has done work for us in the past so we had complete confidence in their ability to bring our dying decks back to life. Over two days, they washed, sanded, repaired (where necessary) and stained decks on two different levels. We didn't even have to move our table, chairs, and pots! They moved them for us. The decks had been neglected for many, many years but they look wonderful now. We are very happy with the company and the results.

AFINE LINE RENOVATIONS
Richard was prompt in his response to my inquiry, his team was thorough in the work provided with minimal impact to the landscape. This is the second time we have used Fine Line and we will definitely use them again.

They did a great job: the waterproofing was far better than the original construction on the house. Joe was a great person to deal with.

Went well. Did a thorough estimate, stayed in good communication, was flexible regarding what was needed as it became clear, followed-up. Had one problem with flooding in the garage but they took care of it with no questions asked and covered all costs.
