Recent Review: It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price.

Recent Review: We visited the showroom on 7/22 to look at the countertop choices. We met the owner Bill Lisac and he showed us the different types of countertops and answered our questions. We were impressed with his experience, background and integrity. Bill wrote up a proposal and we took home several samples and returned the next day. We decided to order from Kerrock because they're a local family business, liked the Kerrock countertop granite finish plus the durable stain resistant surface. Also like the integrated sinks, no more grout! On 7/27 Bill's two sons took measurements and returned 7/31 to install our new 102" perfectly fitted countertop. They did a terrific installation, no mess, professional workmanship, helpful and very nice. We're thrilled with our new countertop and one of these days will have the other two bathroom countertops installed by Kerrock. They have an excellent website. They also offer a varitety of choices from granite, stone, solid surfice, etc.

Recent Review: We went to showroom for a tour and decided to go with the company. They showed up promptly, poured on site, removed bad work, then re-poured. They then disappeared and would not return calls or e-mails. I contacted the state license board to file a complaint and when they called Mr. Lloyd he denied having done the job. I have my canceled check and cell phone records of numerous calls back and forth between us. The license board wanted a bid to remove and replace the countertop to move forward with my complaint. I had two companies come out and look at it but neither would remove it, as it could damage my new cabinets. I cannot move forward with the complaint without the estimate, though I don't understand why. I would be happy just to have my money back and start clean, but Solid Solutions has completely blown me off. Both contractors who looked at the job were appalled at the poor workmanship and said the guy obviously didn't know what he was doing. The counters are still in place but we have not moved into the house. As an aside, the workers (Lloyd and another guy) were very sloppy and careless and spilled something on my newly installed slate floors and left a huge mess everywhere. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I can't believe he denies ever having been to Hanford and doing the job.

Recent Review: Precision was timely and professional. We ordered through Home Depot but in the future I would order directly from Precision to eliminate one more company being involved. They removed our countertops and replaced them with new quartz countertops and composite sinks in one day. We have a large kitchen and a huge island so this was a lot of work. . The next day the sinks were hooked up to the plumbing and faucet fixtures and disposals were installed by their plumber. The following day the tiler installed the backsplash we had selected and worked until almost 7 PM to complete the work, . He came back the following day to do the grout. Kitchen was left broom clean ready for appliance installation.

Recent Review: They were $200 more expensive than the other contractor. They were the higher bidder but they agreed to allow us to see the slabs before they fabricated the countertops. We did have an opportunity to go see the slabs. It was not easy getting past the front office people to get them to allow us go see it but once we got to the foreman from the shop to look at the slabs it was a very good experience. He was very understanding and cooperative. It was a very pleasant experience to work with him there. When the installation people came out it was kind of a very difficult situation but they were able to handle it and eventually did a good job although they kind of made a mess getting it done but they cleaned up after that. So, they did a good job, they were good to work with. It's just that they had some difficulties and kind of made a little of a mess getting it installed.

Recent Review: Home Depot was easy to deal with, the product was exactly as measured and ordered, the installation was professional and prompt, and the store followed up afterward to assure we were satisfied.  I can't say enough for Home Deport.  We have ordered and installed window covering and kitchen cabinets with them, as well, and all was excellent.

ACountertop Alternatives
Previously, we had Roy do our kitchen countertop in quartz-surface Zodiaq and our bath vanity tops in cultured marble.  We knew just who to call when it came time to remodel our master bath.  Roy is doing a walk-in shower (shower pan and wall surrounds) for us in cultured marble with vanity tops to match.  Then we plan to have him do some window sills in corian.  He is our Go-To Guy, and VERY professional!

They were very good. The people who came out knew what they were doing. It all had to be cut to fit and put in properly and everything is perfect. It looks beautiful. They're a little bit pricey. They knew exactly what they were doing.

We did not use Precision Countertops because they would not let us inspect the slab they used prior to cutting it.

It was very good. They did a great job and we especially liked the pre-work knowledge of rod. They were timely and completed it in a timely manner, and they were very efficient. We would refer him to others!

BThe Home Depot - Palmdale
They did a good job but we had to have them come back here and did some hard shop work after they had it installed. They were not perfect the first time but the countertops were fine. Other than that, a little bit of stretch for heading. It went very well. They went as go after this flyers warehouse and actually pick out the fly out there suppose granites and use for the countertops. They picked out exactly what we wanted and suppliers cut it up. They came out and measure, cut it up, came out and installed it. It was well done. They were very helpful and nice to work with. A few things that needed to be corrected  after they installed it in a circumstance as a whole rough places and had to come out screwed out the service in a couple of places. They did that and I had no problem with countertops and do all as wonderful.

AArtistic Stone Kitchen and Bath Inc
Overall I am very pleased with the services & would work with this company again. Helen Wen was my sales representative & she was service-oriented & proactive from the start to the finish. She let me know what granite types were on sale & when I visited the showroom in San Leandro to make a selection, she was insistent that we view all available pieces to make the best selection from available inventory, bringing in two workers & heavy equipment to make it all possible. Further, Artistic Stone provided a cozy play area which helped to entertain my children while my husband & I took care of business. The company was willing to match a bid I had from a competitor, knocking a few hundred dollars off their initial quotation. The installation team arrived earlier than promised & put in a full day's work. One of the installers, frankly, rubbed me the wrong way & I spent most of the day away from the house so I would not need to interact with him. At the end of the day, my husband & I went to the house to check on the installation & noted a couple of gaps between the granite & the wall, measuring about 1/2 inch at the largest. When I mentioned this concern to the installer, he said the wall was curved, and he fabricated a small piece to fill in the gap where it would be most visible: at the opposite side of the peninsula where people sit to eat. He said that the tile backsplash would cover the other gaps. However, the person installing the new tile backsplash subsequently told me the gaps would not be fully covered & told me the additional cost to compensate for the gaps. When I presented this information to Artistic Stone, they offered to credit me 60% of the additional cost. While I had hoped for 100%, I do respect that Artistic Stone addressed my concern with real dollars; not every company would do that. I am satisfied with the resolution. Here's what's most important: the countertops are gorgeous! They look beautiful in my new kitchen & I am delighted & I will hire this company again when I'm ready to tackle bathroom upgrades. Also, they left behind a large piece of granite that was not used during installation, so I can make use of it in my powder room if suitable.
