Recent Review: We had a good experience with Brazilian Direct. They came in and got the job done. They weren't on their cell phones or running back and forth, wasting time. They worked really good as a team, together. They were responsive to what I wanted. They were prompt and exactly on time.

Recent Review: Erik does very good work. In the guest house, he made custom pieces to fix the threshold of a door, to accommodate the changed size of the kickboards due to the raised height of the floors, and to properly finish transition areas. In our home, the new floors were installed with precision and sanded repeatedly. He added an accent piece around our fireplace. We had an issue with the staining that may have been related to the stain and Erik was quick to correct the problem at no additional cost. Because he is a perfectionist, Erik can be slower than expected, but it is not from a lack of effort or time put into the job. The end result with both projects were lovely floors in both places!

Recent Review: Beautiful product, good prices. Only issue was a delay in shipping of several weeks due to inventory. This delay caused issues with scheduling on a whole-house renovation and it would have been quite useful to know about upfront, rather than having to call them repeatedly for updates. When the flooring finally arrived, weeks late, it was beautiful and in very good shape. I would use them again, but I would order much earlier than needed to allow for any delays.

Recent Review: Custom floor went well during installation in September. I requested (twice) one more coat ot finish (polyeurethane) to close out final grain. At that time also contracted for office floor with engineered wood, with the agreement that the engineered wood would be in long lengths so as to match. Expected final coat of living room during the office installation Wood delivered included many short pieces in the two boxes opened. Multiple phone calls yielded assurances that the remaining 12 boxes would have longer lengths. Completed work showed no long lengths (over 4 feet) and many, many 18 incl lenghts.ENMAR solution waqs -"take it or leave it" although business office already emptied for installation. Letter to ENMAR and ROC as follows ENMAR Hardwood Flooring, Inc. 560 E. Germann Road, Suite 105 Gilbert, AZ 85297 Dear Sirs, Please find the enclosed check #3441 in the amount of $998.13, $400 less that the amount requested in your invoice #5566. The remaining $400 has been mailed to the Registrar of Contractors in check # 3442, for the benefit (FBO) of Enmar Hardwood Flooring. This action discharges our responsibility to pay, and also communicates our disappointment in your treatment of customer concerns. Specifically, with regards to the living room floor you installed immediately prior to the office floor covered by invoice 5566, we were most pleased with the installation but requested on two occasions, once to Todd and once to Tricia, that an additional application of polyurethane finish be applied to completely close the grain of the wood and seams. These requests were not acknowledged, but we expected the last coat to be applied when the office floor was installed. With regards to the office floor, we agreed to proceed with this installation based upon Todd Thompson?s assurances that the engineered wood sections were of significantly greater length that our past experience, and that the floor would not have extensive butt seams. Once the product was supplied and delivered by ENMAR, Inspection of two boxes (of 16) revealed that although the container length was 7 feet, the maximum length piece was 4 feet, accompanied by multiple pieces only 15.5 inches in length. I was assured by Todd Thompson that every box ?should? contain at least one full-length section (7 feet). Installation of 15 boxes revealed that not one piece exceeded the 4 foot dimension. In other words, the ENMAR sales presentation and subsequent assurances were without merit. Actions and misstatements must come with consequences. Presentation of Check #3442 for payment will release this letter to the public domain. Sincerely, Michael Rendine Cc: Registrar of Contractors

Recent Review: I think my carpets might have been the original ones the house was built with, on a 60 year old house you can imagine they were pretty gross and raggedy looking. I looked online and found the Carpets of Dalton Flooring website. They had lots to choose from so I went to their showroom and talked with Nick. He showed me several choices and I found the carpet that I liked. He explained the differences in carpet to me and I was impressed with how knowledgeable he was when it came to his trade. We arranged a time for a good time for the installers to come in and get the new carpet in. They showed up when they were scheduled to and did a great job. I am happy to say the new carpet looks awesome and has given the house a new feel. My next project is the kitchen and dining room and I am looking at their hardwood flooring options and with any luck I am going to have the do my cabinets too. The service was amazing, they knew exactly what I needed and I will recommend Carpets of Dalton to anyone. Sean S. Flagstaff AZ

Recent Review: First day installers were punctual, rapidly started the prep work on floor (I had removed carpet, trim and mopped/vacumned concrete pad already to save on labor charge) They removed a 4x4 section of tile at Entry Door. Leveled concrete pad with self-leveler in needed areas. Second day installers were later than the first day (I was staying up to get them into the house, I work nights so I would stay up, let them in and go upstairs with earplugs ;) .. Third day installers were around an hour later than before and only had 2 guys instead of the 4-5 previously. The biggest complaint of entire job was the finish detail. They pulled up the base boards but in several areas the baseboard was slightly damaged or unpainted (home builder laid baseboards before finished floors **(dopes imho)** not one offer to repaint them was made (even if extra charge was incurred), secondly the stairs to sunken living room were initially trimmed in quarter round. It looked absolutely sophomoric in attempt and was finished extremely POORLY. After the third day (now Friday) I called the sales rep and let them know my issues, to their credit they tried to resolve my issues though there was several days lag before the installers could come fix their issues. Day Four (now several days later) installer came, (unannounced as someone forgot to call me from their office) and retrimed the stairs beautifully with matching baseboards (4 1/2 inch) that they found and sourced (REDEEMING QUALITY!!!) While waiting for installer to come I had noticed that there was a gap in the first riser... When installing they had to glue them down, and they measured off cut piece to wall but then installed it under wall leaving a 2-3mm gap, which they then filled with a piece of scrap, once you noticed it, you could see if everytime you walked by. I asked about fix for this, and installer talked about difficulty and it was not fixed (though trim on steps were done above my expectation.) Day Five (now over a week since inital install) Installer came out to fix issues with baseboard that was not properly lined up to the same level as other trim pieces around it and fixed the gap in the first riser. Job was completed to my wifes (final boss) approval and I cut them a check for the remainder of their 50% holdback (REDEEMING Quality) Floor went down fast and pretty solidly for not as an expensive flooring type. I really like the choice of flooring and think it will hold up well to my family (2 girls and 2 dogs and my wife). The installers that Onsite uses I believe are subcontractors and I believe that affects their overall quality, while my job was a fairly big job, the pricepoint was not exorbitant, and I feel as if it was a and quot;Good enough and if he doesnt complain we collect our money and goto next joband quot;. The sales rep seemed genuinely concerned at my retorts to the quality of finish work (I was asked to send pictures) and overall the job was done to MY SATISFACTION but the amount of time it took was a little offputting. I stand firmly on the fence if I will ever give Onsite another job (I need new carpet upstairs (around 1000sq/ft between four rooms) but them not collecting the funds until I was satisfied held them up in my mind as atleast a Company that atleast makes an effort. I live in the far west valley and the distances involved for them is probably far, but I always felt it wasnt apporpriate that if they use subs, that the sales rep or a rep from the company did not come out and inspect final work. I dont know if that was a problem because my sales guy was out of town that weekend or if that is a regular thing for them (the installers did take my check made out to Onsite Design). Eitherway the floor is done, and we like it, the process to get their was not as good as I would of hoped.

AWAGON WHEEL FLOORING
Wagon Wheel Flooring was very professional in all it's dealings. The floor was installed on the date they promised and installation was excellent. The installer was very polite and almost went overboard in cleaning up after himself.

Rod refinished and replaced some damaged hard wood floor. It was an older house, and was not going to be an easy fix. Rod did an excellent job refinishing and replacing the wood floor. You could not tell where the old ended and the new began. Very high quality work done by Majestic flooring.

We spoke directly with David Harvey.  We went into his store on Coffee Pot Drive and viewed  ceramic tile, he and his staff helped us select a tile for our home.  We were very exact with Mr. Harvey that we did not want to even begin the project if it could not be 100% complete by 3/26/12 as we would begin living in our home as of that date.  We knew it would be a tight schedule and were hesitant to even hire him.  His first estimate was it could be done in 1 1/2 weeks.  We told him we did not feel that was not possible.  He then revised to 2 1/2 weeks and promised it would be done by the time we arrived on 3/26/12.  3/16, we received photos showing our old hardwood floors had been taken out.  The insinuation was that the tiles would be laid the next 10 days and would be done when we arrived.  3/23, we received a phone call from someone not part of Creative Flooring and they told us we still had no floors.  We were literally in the process of packing up a RV with our four dogs and family and on our way down the road to Sedona.  We could not delay our trip at that point.  There had been ZERO communication from Mr. Harvey about our flooring not being done. In the meantime, we did our research and despite having a storefront and acting as if all were just fine, we learned Creative Flooring/David Harvey had one license revoked, one suspended and one expired.  We were informed it was illegal to hire Creative Flooring/David Harvey to do work in our home.   We arrived on 3/26/12 to three people we had never met, in the house JUST BEGINNING the job.  We immediately told them to clear out and that their job was done.  We had given Mr. Harvey a $13,000 deposit.  Only half of the tile needed to do our job was at our home.  We attempted several times over the next week to get Mr. Harvey to deliver our tile with no luck.  He will not answer phone calls, his voice mail states it is so full it can't accept more messages and he forces his office people to take care of his mistakes (which they can not as they are HIS) and only sends e-mails after deadlines have already passed with more excuses.  We have had to hire another contractor (licensed and reliable this time!!) to finish our job.  We are waiting until this Friday to see if Mr. Harvey will get his act together and deliver our tile.  We do not have much hope.  We plan, on Friday, to hire an attorney.  We have already reported him and Creative Flooring to the state.  With an attorney's assistance, we hope to add to his public record so that others are aware of what he is capable of.  The people who did take out our hardwood floors messed up and damaged our newly painted walls, clogged our toilets and left a BM in them, tracked tile cement across our newly installed carpets, put holes (big enough for golf balls) in the cement floor.  This does not even include how his failure to perform and communicate ruined the move in to our new home which was supposed to be something exciting and wonderful.  Be aware of what this person has on his legal record and take that into consideration if you are considering hiring him.  Check to see if the state of Arizona has deemed him worthy by re-issuing license before proceeding with anything. Update 4/18/12:  Mr. Harvey did not come through.  In fact, after telling him "time was up, we were buying new tile to finish the tile and turning it over to an attorney", he had the audacity to tell us it was our choice to buy new tile etc etc" .  Today, our attorney is sending out the "first warning" letter.  We plan on taking this all the way to court.  Hopefully, we can make a difference and help make sure he can not do anything like this again. Update 4/26/12:  Mr. Harvey has ignored the deadline set by our attorney.  We now proceed to court where we are very confident of winning.

I cannot say enough good things about John.  He is a very easy-going, professional guy who even exceeded my own high expectations.  His attention to detail is incredible.  From beginning to end, he made sure everything was perfect.  I do not see how you could go wrong hiring this company, hands down.

ABilbie's Interiors
Richard came out to measure the floor and to give us an estimate to install a new floor.  However, when he got there and looked at the existing damage, he assured us that his people could repair the problem for only the cost of a service call.  I was very impressed with Richard's honesty!  I doubt that many business owners would have been honest enough to bring up the option of repairing the existing floor, especially since it was obvious that I was fully expecting to replace it.  He basically gave up the revenue from a full floor replacement (likely to be about $8000) for the fee of a service call.  (The repairman came out today, and did an excellent job of repairing the floor.)  I was very impressed and appreciative, and Bilbie's will definitely be first in line when I have any flooring work to be done in the future.

The installer, Juan, did a nice job. He made sure the floor was properly prepared. He laid the new carpet and took care to be sure the job was done correctly. He secured the railing and put new protective strips on the steps. We will have no problems referring new customers to Wagon Wheel Flooring.
