Recent Review: The Two Kathys were a delight to work with. From the first appointment to the last inspection they and their crews were professional, on time, efficient, and friendly - plumbers, electricians, painters, tile and countertop installers - all were polite, and answered all our questions. We changed the original work order to include some changes to our master bedroom and closet, and The Kathys met our requests without seeming to bat an eye. After the project was finished and paid for, there was some fine tuning to be done. The "fix it" person was always there within 24 hours of my call - in one case, just two hours later! We had heard horror stories from friends about home renovations, but Interior Trends put the lie to that. Should we be in need of future renovation there is no other firm we would call but Interior Trends. I give my highest recommendation to Kathy Nieto and Kathy Lyle, and the entire Interior Trends staff and crew.

Recent Review: We were very pleased with them. We found that they were very professional. The quality of the work was outstanding. They were very courteous. We were actually very pleased with them listening to what we wanted, coming up with alternatives, and helping us figure out what we needed to do. They were just really great. We had a very great experience with them. The price was not the absolute cheapest but was worth every penny. They were also highly responsive.

Recent Review: I am not the easiest person to work with and am very picky. I told Don what I wanted (and changed my mind many times) and he worked patiently with me. They came out exactly as I wanted! I am very happy with the quality and workmanship! I have received many compliments with our new kitchen remodel!! We are thinking about adding a wine cabinet, and will be calling Don to do the job.

Recent Review: Crowdsourcing site for interior and architectural design. Interesting service and if you are comfortable with internet shopping and a little risk, IMHO, worth the cost.  My project:   Redesigning kitchen and family room (great room concept) and we needed interior design/style advise for the project. The site posts a "competition" for the project, you determine what amount of money to offer for the competition (site recommends an amount, but the customer is free to change if needed.) Within 20 days, we had 20 designers signed up for our competition from all over the world. In the end, 8 designers submitted designs. We picked our top 4, rated all designs and the top three were selected based on ratings -- one from France, USA and Serbia. Honorable Mention went to country of Georgia. First, second and third place received a portion of the award money.   Pros and Cons:  You, the customer, must be comfortable with the risk of paying for something and not knowing if you'll like the result. For me, this was part of the process and an acceptable risk.  You don't have a face to face consultation. The site has a "wall" where you can post ideas, photos, communication with the designers or architects. I resolved this by posting my houzz.com design book on the wall to give designers ideas of our likes, dislikes, etc. You can also post requirements and constraints for your project. Toward the end of the competition (a deadline is set when you submit a project) a lot of communication occurs with the architects and designers. Expect it, it's part of the process.  The website is fairly rudimentary. Online/chat help is available but is somewhat hit and miss.  You can send designs to friends and family to rate. This is helpful in making a decision.  Overall, we got a number of ideas between the designers and were very pleased with the process and project.

Recent Review: It took about 2 weeks to complete. The bathtub and toilet were removed from the spare bathroom and the sink and lighting was replaced.  Also, the towel and toilet bars were replaced to match the new bathroom decor.   It's a family owned business. Wife and daughter help with guiding client towards places to find and view possible colors, tile, sinks, etc..   They set up appointments and do odd jobs as needed to include painting and picking up materials from various vendors..   The main contractor is Wayne Gregan. He and his wife Patty came to house at first for the estimate and providing guidance.  Wayne and his partner do the bulk of the manual labor, though they sublet the plumbing to another contractor.   Because we had two toilets being replaced, they had a porto-potty set up in front of the house during the process.  It was not a distraction and was promptly removed when the work was completed.   They also made sure to clean up any dust, etc., at the end of each day.     Wayne and his partner worked from minute they arrived until they left, with only a short lunch break each day (7:30-4:30). It was very impressive.   I had an idea of what I wanted but not the actual pattern/material figured out.   Now I have a beautiful bathroom shower stall with a built in seat, rain shower head, grab bar and glass doors.   The toilet was replaced with a higher model which makes it easier to get up and down from.   The sink was replaced with a beautiful sink vessel that sits on top of the vanity.   The top of the vanity was tiled to match the shower which now has a beautiful tile and design pattern.   The toilet in the master bath was also replaced with a taller model.  (Toto)   We were pleased with the entire process and would highly recommend them.

Recent Review: We contracted with Sierra Remodeling for a bathroom remodel. Our main contact was with Mr. Scott Miller. He came to our home in Wilcox and discussed the project and approximately a week later we met at his office to review the site plan. We looked over colors,  styles, and accessories. All through this phase of the project, Scott, was very attentive to our thoughts, made good suggestions and made sure loose ends were tide down. He scheduled a start date and worked with us when we needed to reschedule due to an appointment. The crew was on-time and made every effort to keep our home as undisturbed as possible. The lead man during the initial clearing out of existing fixtures and installion of shower pan, shower inclosure, and and patch up was Matt, as it was badly needed. Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful. He is also professional and a very hard worker. When Matt finished with the inital shower instialltion, the shower door and new sink installtion was begun. The shower door installation went very smoothly and the new cabinet and sink units as planned did not work out so a new unit was orderd and installed. The room required wall painting and patching, which was done by Adam, who did a great job. The sink and cabinet installation along with the shower fixtures and floor tile was installed by Jack, a real craftsman. The project was completed and is beautiful. We highly recommended Sierra Remodeling for your remodeling needs.

ABlanchard Construction
They remodeled one big house for us about 8 years ago and then in this house they did a very unique thing. They moved the front of the house out 2 feet, completely changed the master bedroom because we have so many grandchildren. It was one big suite and they made that into two bedrooms and it flows well. They remodeled the kitchen, put in a whole set of cabinets and one kitchen wall like a pantry and then added a big credenza type of thing in the dining area. They also put in a big china cabinet with storage and doors underneath in the dining area. They also took out the entire popcorn ceiling and sanded down beams. We have three different kinds of heating now, a wood stove that heats the whole house, an electric baseboard, and a gas path on the roof. They did that and subcontracted the heating and cooling and were done by a company, which we don't use anymore. They subcontracted the roof and everything has just been fine. We refer them to all our friends.

It's the best experience I've had hiring a contractor. I'm 72 and have done many remodels before but never one this big. My wife and I moved out of the house for 3 months to give contractors open access to the whole house and we moved all our belongings into storage. They gutted the kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry and removed 4 walls to create a great room. We repainted the whole interior, tiled the entire floor - 2400 sq ft and replaced many doors and windows. Most of the house was rewired and replumbed to accommodate new appliances, fixtures and configurations. During the 3 months we visited the house several times a week and found contractors working on it every time! And this was during a severe labor crunch in the construction and remodeling industries. Greg van Damm was the key for us. He required all design and remodeling decisions to be made before hand - down to the colors, textures, fixtures and all details. He and Lisa, his designer, guided us through the process. They helped us with concept development to figuring out where to go for the materials and other guidance. When we were done, he got detailed bids for all the subcontractors so that the construction phase could proceed smoothly. And it did! Greg was frequently on site to supervise the work and had his own people do some of it. If there were any issues with subs, (there were only a few) he handled them as our advocate. It came in on time and on budget. Greg even did followup until all of the punch list items were finished. Wow!

In each instance Mr. Wade returned my call quickly, came out to make a competitive estimate and managed the work to the last detail. The damaged ceiling was in the Master Bedroom and needed to be done ASAP!! Doug arranged for drywallers and painters to work through the week and weekend to get the job done! Ahead of schedule and under budget. I know I got lucky. It does not always happen. I feel it all came together due to Mr Wades experience and work ethic. I would call Doug to do work again without reservation. He consistently communicated with me to let us know what to expect, when it would happen and what our costs would be. Information, not surprises. I wish all my work had been done with Doug running the job.

All the designing met our needs and requests. Workers were very talented, precise, never left a mess, and we always could use the spaces overnight rather than having to eat out or do without a bathroom. Workers were open to our suggestions. All of the work met and exceeded our hopes and expectations. Scott was amazing in his ability to understand and design exactly what we were describing. All materials worked together well. We love our new kitchen and bathrooms.

ATravis Construction Services
My parents had recently purchased a home in Show Low AZ and called me expressing their frustration that they had a large garden tub in their master bathroom and that it was difficult/hazardous for them to get in/out...they wanted the tub out and a shower in. I recommended using a contractor and found Travis through Angie's List. I had not seen this house as I live in CA and had not yet been able to visit AZ. I contacted Travis and he met my parents and conducted a job walk. Travis called me to discuss and I explained I was working blind and was dependent on him to provide the details; I also explained that he could meet with some difficulty as my dad is a mechanical engineer and and quot;knows everythingand quot;; every time my phone rang I was afraid Travis was going to tell me he'd had enough. I was grateful that Travis stayed in contact with me through the planning stage as this was when my dad was at his most difficult. I traveled to AZ prior to construction start and took my mom shopping to settle the final details before the project began. The next day I met Travis and the plumber and everything looked good to go; Travis was glad to hear that we had the shower stall, paint, and flooring so that the project could move forward without delay. Before I left, the contract was signed! The remodel included: - Remove interior bathroom wall - Remove wall between sink and toilet/tub area (ended up being a pony wall) - Remove 24and quot; door and doorway leading to toilet/tub area - Remove garden tub - Move/adjust plumbing to accommodate shower vs tub - Install a pre-fab shower - Build interior bed/bathroom wall one foot into the bedroom with zero negative impact to bedroom space - Install new ADA-compliant bathroom door - Replace flooring - Paint area It was evident early-on in my conversations with Travis that he was truly concerned about my parents and that the finished product needed to accommodate them as they age. In the end, I think it was his overall concern for their well-being that he stayed on the job because he could have quit at any time due to the resistance he met from my dad who wanted the job done and quot;hisand quot; way. In the end, Travis' patience with an elderly couple ended in a complete renovation of the master bath...and all is well in Show Low. I will be visiitng again soon and will be able to see the work for myself as I've only seen pictures taken during construction. The pics I've seen were not of the finished product but I could see the massive changes and it looks awesome! So much more space in the bathroom without sacrificing bedroom space and no more skinny 24and quot; door to squeeze through...really opened up the space making access easier for emergency responders. My parents assessment: - Both Travis and his assistant, Cheryl, cleaned the work area and surrounds every time they worked - Even though Travis had other on-going jobs, he was on time, accomplished his goals each time and kept us apprised of how the job was going and what was next - Very receptive to our ideas and input in both the planning and work stages - Travis is gracious when he rejects ideas as he explains how something is supposed to work vs how you think it should work - Travis was pleased that the bathroom had no negative effect on the bedroom although the bathroom had increased in size My opinion is that you would be truly blessed to have Travis as your contractor.

ATunell Enterprises Total Home Repair
This was the 3rd remodel we've used this contractor for. We were more than pleased with the work the Tunnells did in remodeling our garage. They are honest and hard working. We are pleased with their quality of workmanship. They did what they said they would in a timely manner. We can't say enough good about the Tunnells!

CDANIEL'S CONSTRUCTION
He replaced the walls and showers and lifted the floor but wasn't able to level it. He was supposed to build the floor up a little bit but he did a good job of things other than that. He was better at the bigger project but the minor details didn't go as well as I would like.

Everything went well.  We worked together as the project moved along and we saw changes to be made.  The plumber and the electrician both found problems left behind by the builder and fixed them.  We created not just bathrooms but visual statements.  Trying to work with colors is always a chore but we made trips to the business and Scott made trips here to be sure everything would go together.  Vanities were custom-designed to add much-needed storage that vanities don't typically have.  Skilled workers completed various phases of the project.  They were each very nice, answered questions, and asked for our input along the way.  At all times we had one functioning bathroom.  The project took a bit longer than expected, however, everything was done before the holidays except a couple of small items that were finished on January 2.  Although stressful at times because the unexpected popped up, we would call upon Scott who never disappointed because he made things happen. We would work with Sierra Remodeling again and recommend them highly for their knowledgeable, friendly personnel who pay attention to details and respect the homeowners.  Although the price may seem a bit high -- we once again have quality work and materials -- exactly what we wanted and the rooms are beautiful.  Thanks to all for the miracles they performed!
