This remodel has been a dream come true from the first consultation with Michael, to each review of the 3D models and subsequent changes, keeping my budget in mind although I exceeded that a bit as we got moving forward, but after receiving other bids for the work and talking with other contractors, I elected to go with Brett's. Not one ounce of regret here! Derek arrived somewhat unexpectedly on Monday morning to start demo, due to a slight miscommunication, but it all worked out perfectly and, he endured my questions all week with great patience. He vacuumed up each day's debris before leaving as well, which I appreciated a lot. When it came time to measure for the countertops, Derek suggested a different edge (chiseled) for the kitchen island that, after going back to the store to look at again, I elected to go with and it looks beautiful. Derek looked at the existing location and the interference with the refrigerator, we discussed how the new island would be shifted and when he was finished placing the new cabinets there is no longer any interference with the island and refrigerator and there is about six inches additional depth to the kitchen. The new cabinets replacing the old drywall side of the island are also amazing. And part of this included a kitchen sink through an Angie's List coupon; this sink is much larger than I expected and looks great. I can't wait to use it. In the master bathroom, I elected to remove and replace the existing cabinets and marble counter top with emphasis on replacing the unused empty space between the cabinets with drawers. Michael worked his magic with this concept as well. After we had selected the cabinets and he ordered everything, we went to look at countertops again and door pulls. While we were talking, we double checked the color for the bathroom cabinets and discovered that the wrong ones had been ordered. Initially I thought great what else is going to be wrong HOWEVER, I gave it a bit of thought and decided that the cabinets he ordered, which match the kitchen cabinets, would work nicely in the bathroom since I was only replacing this part and not redoing the shower and tub. I am so glad I decided to go with these, they look amazing! We worked together to pick out the top from remnants and with his great eye found the perfect piece. When I called just to check on the status of the counter tops, expecting to be told they would be complete sometime the next week, Brett made my day when he called back and said "How's 8:15 tomorrow morning?" Ecstatic only partially describes my excitement. Tigren arrived at 8:00 and began checking measurements, etc. He and his crew were finished up in less than an hour and a half. With Michael's help, the quartz we selected for the master bath looks amazing! He has a great eye. The work is almost complete, just reconnecting the plumbing, some minor adjustments and installing the backsplash. I expect that this will finish up without issue, and I can start planning my next phase that will probably include the help of Brett's Kitchen and Bath. The reviews here are true, this is a Class A operation.
